Misty Mercara Homestay

It is located about 3km from Raja's seat and is not that hard to find. There are two rooms which can be booked in the first floor and the owner lives on the ground floor. The room was very spacious and super clean. The room had a small TV, a coffee table with two single seater sofa and a wardrobe. Wash room was also very clean, it is fitted with solar water heater and also a geyser so no problem for hot water. The main plus point of this place is its location, there are no main roads close to it so it is very calm and also with the trees and plants around, it gives a relaxed feel. It is also close to the city so everything is accessible. The owner was very kind to us and made our stay comfortable. They provided us with a simple breakfast which was filling. Other reviewers mentioned that they would provide lunch or dinner at an extra cost, But we headed out, so we don't have food other than breakfast. Will surely recommend this place for a relaxed stay.

Pros: the house is very nice, beautiful location, ample space for parking and to play around with kid. Surrounded by mountains from one side and from the back side you get a nice view of the city. There was a light breeze and the entire evening we just sat and saw the mountains, clouds, rain and the atmosphere. The host/owner was also staying at the property, he was very nice and helped with all our queries. Cons: the host sometimes come and stay at the property and there was no helper. So we had to manage our own food arrangements. The major problem then is getting the food delivered by swiggy or zomato, as its not a major city the delivery riders are not available. I had to wait more than 1 hour just to get a delivery boy available, only then i could order dinner. , i imagined if a helper is available at the property, he could have made us nice corgi cuisine.

There are innumerable home-stays in coorg, but this was one of the most pleasant vacation experience for our family due to the very pleasant host family (mr. Bhimaiah) and the beautiful setting of their home. It is surrounded by nature and tranquility. The rooms are large, clean, well-maintained. There was hot water - from both solar & boiler - thru out the day. The breakfast in the morning was prepared by the caretaker (vasanth) which was simple yet delicious. (mr. Vasanth also was very caring & helpful, with our aged parents) the garden is filled with colorful plants, and the view of madikeri town from the wrap-around balcony/patio is brilliant. Our family (of 6 adults & 4 children) thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of mr. Bhimaiah and vasanth, we highly recommend this homestay to fellow travelers.

Rooms, Location, Cleanliness are excellent !!! There are total 3 rooms in this Home stay - 2 are in 1st floor and other 1 in Ground Floor. So it is very ideal place if two family like friends / Relatives staying together in 1st Floor. Nice views from Room. Couple of points to think: 1) If you are not going with your own Vehicle or Home to Home Cabs then this Place is not for you. 2) Food is not at all good for North Indians but excellent for south Indians. 3) Complimentary Breakfast means only 1 South Indian Item choice for all Rooms. 4) No Shower fittings in Bathroom and towel / soap was given on demand. If you are OK with these points then it would be an excellent choice.

The property owner was friendly and courteous They served us breakfast steam rice balls with veg curry. If you haven't yet tasted steam rice balls, you must try it out. It was so delicious. Nice scenery around the building. Parking space available. 24 hours hot water. Complimentary Breakfast. If lunch or dinner is needed, that has to be informed in advance for them to cook. Abby falls - 8km Raja seat - 7km Bhagamandala temple - 37 Kms Talacauvery- 47 Kms Our mind is completely relaxed with the stay. We strongly recommend to stay in this place. You will Like it in all aspects.

This place is a good location if you choose to be away from the chaotic town. This is a home stay, don't expect a Misty Mercara Homestay or a restaurant like facilities here. Stayed two days with friends it was refreshing and pleasant couple of days. The cook stays behind and was helpful. Food can be ordered in advance. We opted for the breakfast plan and it's was satisfying but quantity was an niggle we faced but they can still manage to provide if you ask for. Ample parking space available. Highly recommended for families too, if you are fine with the limited facilities.

Little bit away from the city but an wonderful homestay, host was good and home cooked foods were excellent !! Rooms were very clean and big enough, washrooms were clean enough to give a feel of home, ample parking space. Coorg always means a lot to me and this homestay added extra enjoyment for us. Some important points: - prebook the homestay. - its better if you have your own vehicles. - better to carry the snacks/soaps/towels as there are no shops nearby. Would love to visit again !!

A good homestay with good food. Very courteous host. Good amount of parking space. Very good view of the location from balcony. Spacious room ( 15 X15 ft ). Very Clean linen. Food, especially the breakfast prepared by caretaker (Vasanth) is very good. Hot water available at all times. Both the hosts ( Jeremiah and Vasanth) are very courteous, but not overbearing. Probably only suggestion : have couple of direction sign boards on the way so that the visitor can locate it easily.

Nice place. Will visit again and ll recommend this home stay for my family and friends. Total 3 bedroom house it was nice stay and breakfast was good, House keeping also available. Owner is a cool guys and it was a nice trip.

Rooms were clean and spacious. Cook was very courteous and we were served delicious local cuisine for b/f. It has got only 3 rooms and we booked all 3 for our big family. The host Mr. Bheemiah was very kind in guiding about the local places to visit. The homestay is very near to the city but not in the busy area.

Except weather room location service and view are superb. We didn't except such a delicious food ... 100% home stay with home food. Only disappointment is weather. Next time vil plan in season ...

The home stay owner Mr. Bhimayaa was really friendly and helpful. It was located in the middle of coffee trees which will make you relaxed. Value for money and the complimentary breakfast was awesome.

Peaceful place. Location is little interior from town but well maintained with greeneries. Suggest to go with your own or self driven vehicle. Breakfast was also good. Rooms & washrooms maintained hygienically.

Misty mercera is a wonderful place for home stay. Services and caring is superb. Moreover it is near to Fort ., abbey falls, raja tomb and raja's seat ... We enjoyed a tasty food in misty mercera ... Very neat and clean .. The surroundings are so romantic and cool

It a nice place, not in the city so it's good to see coffee estates and good place, had nice breakfast also.

Misty is a bit out of town and that's what makes it a perfect stay for people wanting peace. We absolutely loved it. Checking in or checking out was a breeze and the hosts were just truly amazing. Would highly recommend staying here because of the calm. The sunset view from the room was also amazing. Breakfast was very good and it was better than most Misty Mercara Homestays i have visited. Would like to come here again!

This is one of the best homestays anyone can ever get. The owner of the property is very kind helpful and cooperating. He made the stay very comfortable and homely. The property is beautiful and well maintained. It even has a small coffee plantation in-its own premises. Property location is also appropriate. Also the complimentary breakfast provided is very delicious.

Rooms are very good and clean. Service is good with good breakfast and location is very good. Most important is the owner is good helping nature person. If I go next time I will stay there only.
