Montreal Group Of Houseboats

Pros: 1. It's a big group of houseboats, you may have options to choose your room, in any houseboat. We booked a family room with 2 double beds. It was a good one. 2. It faces Shankaracharya hill temple, looks beautiful in the morning. 3. Very helpful staff. They will make sure you feel comfortable in every way. 4. Ours was a CP plan. Their breakfast buffet included paratha, bread-butter, bread-jam and teACoffee. It was good. Their Dinner also has buffet which we didn't try, we went out for night view of the city and had dinner out. Cons: I am not sure if this belongs to the houseboat, but they introduced us to a shikara boy, which be-fooled us by charging 500/- of a shikara ride of 1 hour and didn't take us through even a single view point. He took us to a meena bazaar and the way to it was very dirty. My friend visited a day before and some other shikara boy took them though a few view points like nehru park and floating market in same price. As far as houseboat is concerned, book it without giving a second thought.

I book this houseboat with my family for 2 nights. Nice and comfortable located in peaceful area away from noise. Good room service and reception was awesome from shikara ghat no. 9 through "Latif Bhai". Owner "Mr. Shahnawaj" was a good & helpful person he always support as a friend. One important service I must want to share that our check-out time was very early in the morning approx 4. A. Am. (As per our drivers decision) but any shikara can't agree to transfer at that time then I talk to Mr. Shahanawaj & he assure me don't worry I will arrange your transfer when you want. One day before our check out one person come & tell me no problem I stay this night in shikara for transfer you in early morning at 4 A. I must surprise that service in cold rainy weather but we transfer in 4. 15 A. Am very comfortably and I got my train in Jammu station. Thanks a lot to Mr. Shahanawaj. I strongly recommend this houseboat.

I was very happy with the choice of Montreal Group of Houseboat and would recommend it any time to anyone looking for a houseboat in Srinagar. The journey time of 20 minutes from Airport and it is worth it. In the evening to sit on the terrace overlooking the lake is excellent. I had a Suite Room and can only recommend Room. It was namely because little guests and it was very quiet. The room was not very large, but well equipped. The service is ok. In addition, I got a very good corporate rate. All in all highly recommended for a business trip very much. Privately, I would stay here and will recommend Montreal Group of Houseboat to all.

I stayed for five nights at the houseboat. the ambience was very good. 1. Food quality was very good and provided on time as per time given by us. Feeling just like home food. 2. Houseboat was very neat and clean. Also it was very spacious to roam around as multiple houseboats were connected with each other. 3. The cooks were from Allahbad and versatile in preparing various food qualities. I am very impressed with food quality. 4. People are also very friendly especially owner of the hoseboat Shahnawaz bhai. He is friendly and giving the right advise for bookings and places to visit.

We had an absolutely wonderful time on the Montreal houseboat. Everything was professionally organised and run from start to finish. Special thanks to All whom attached with Montreal group of houseboats.  who kept in touch through out the booking process right until our trip. The houseboat itself was very clean and well furnished. Loved the front sitting and dining areas and spent most of our time just relaxing.

My stay at montreal group of houseboats was truly enchanting. The unique location on dal lake offered a serene escape. The authentic kashmiri cuisine was a delight, showcasing the region's flavors. The well-furnished rooms captured the essence of kashmiri craftsmanship, and the attentive staff made sure every need was met. Overall, a stay that beautifully combined natural beauty, culture, and comfort.

Very well maintained boat with the caretaker iliyas bhai, a very friendly and helping person, rooms are very good, food was excellent, specifically the dinner with bothbgood quantity if you are like me, a heavy eater and quality as well. A place deserve a second and many more visit. The dal lake view and a hilt-op views are also very good. If you love to drink, then also, this is a good place to stay

A beautiful houseboat with wonderful food, and hosts who were genuine and very caring, though not over attentive. Staying here certainly enriched my experience of Srinagar, and I can't wait to return to visit the city, the boat and the lovely guys who run it. The premises were clean and well kept, and were the perfect backdrop to the enchanting city.

Hospitality is good. They have guided us very nicely and food is good. Location is little bit interior but they have provided transport facilities homely reception and on request they have arranged vehicle for our entire tour.

Hotel is very good.. The most highlight of the Montreal Group Of Houseboats is owner Shahnawaz bhai... Who is very co-operative and helpful The only thing is they charge too much for lunch and breakfast and dinner.. Rest all is very good...

Our first experience staying in a houseboat was nothing short of amazing. We get to experience the authentic kashmiri lifestyle with home cooked food and tea. Dinner and breakfast was very good. Loved the complimentary 1 hr shikara ride as well.

Hotel is very good and cleanliness is excellent. Staff at Montreal Group Of Houseboats is very caring and helping the guest just like a family. Location of the Hotel is OK. However food is not up to the mark and require improvement.

House boat location is inside. Rooms are clean and good even staff are very good. Local shikara attitude was rude because I have not taken ride from them. Due to location it was difficult to go on Ghat for any work and this people are forcing to take a ride I inform house boat manager and he solve this problem.

The boat was well maintained and has beautiful view the manager and the staff are very cooperative and were helpful over all experience was veer good

Great Work of Wooden and bathroom also. Very happy with this house boat. Will visit again as soon as possible. An will definitely stay in this house boat. Atmosphare ia vary calm. They would provide us good and clean service.

I stayed for three days in Montreal. It has been a very pleasant stay. Very good boat house, neat and clean, good location. Boat crew are very supportive. I would recommend to use Montreal if you are going to stay in Srinagar.

Very beautiful and scenic, house boat is also fine please be noted that these people charge additional for switching on ac which is 1000 per night per room.
