Mountain Club Resort Munnar

Mountain Club is a wonderful Resort with lovely cottages, small but cosy rooms, clean and well maintained. The Road to chinnakanal is under construction so its s very bumpy ride. Also there was no much sign boards which directs you to the resort even at the road entry from NH that leads to the resort. The cottages have a hall, a small bedroom, bathroom and a balcony. There is no much nature view from the cottages. But its surrounded by tall trees and stone cottages which gives you a good feel. The breakfast was not up to the mark as for a good star rated resort. There is no live counters. Omlette was also made and kept earlier which was overcooked and hard. They had quite some variety of dishes and few them where good. I like the egg roast.The pool is near to the restaurant. So at peak times its quite crowded with people using the pool and restaurant is crowded. The room service menu is slightly over priced. We tried the fish fingers which was charged for 8 small pieces of fish fingers served with some French fries and coleslaw. Every item on the menu card was a very costly but you have plenty of small restaurants just outside the Resort. Overall the stay was good. Staff is helpful enough.

Overall experience was good. Checkin - mixed up in confusion as we booked this Mountain Club Resort Munnar as it said valley view rooms but the rooms we got gad garden views. As we were checking in at 7pm after a full day of travel, we didn't want to extend this discussion and accepted whatever we got with a commitment that it will be changed the next day. It was done at 4 pm next day. Location - location is serene and far away from the city centre. It feels like that its a colony in itself. Travel-ling to tourist places becomes difficult as you need to drive 20kms to reach anywhere. Food - average. Some dishes were good and some were bad. Value for money - no. Rooms were really small giving us a claustrophobic feeling. Food was just average and costed a lot. Hospitality- really good and they tried to help us wherever and however they can. Room service was decently fast. Will suggest to book 1 bhk villa as its more comfortable. We booked 2bhk villas which was not a very comfortable experience overall.

I stayed in Mountain Club resort on Oct 6th to 8th. The property is 21 kms away from Munnar town as it is Chinnakanal. The well known Club Mahindra and Sterling properties are just near to it. Most villas at Mountain Club are ideally place with a mesmerizing view of Munnar misty hills and Aanayirankal dam at a distance. The food quality is absolutely appreciable with a great variety and the staffs were very helpful and pleasing. Being the property is in a steep side Mountain Club Resort Munnar provides pick up and drop facility from cottage to restaurant. Little bit inconvenient to some but Munnar as such is a hilly area. My overall experience was excellent and I recommend this place for those who go to Munnar for a peaceful stay. Please note that if you are looking for site seeing and all then Chinnakanal cannot be a good place for you. Prefer Mountain Club Resort Munnars in Town area then.

This was my first trip to this Mountain Club Resort Munnar we checked in on 14th June and stayed for 2 nights. The Mountain Club Resort Munnar is a paradise on earth the views from the room and the scenic site from the Mountain Club Resort Munnar restaurant was fabulous. The Mountain Club Resort Munnar was Crystal clean and dust free. The service was excellent , we had a fun time in the swimming pool which is also located near the restaurant . the recreation center which had carom with TT was fun we played badminton . Food was extra ordinary with lots of choice and desserts. The Mountain Club Resort Munnar arranged small party time on the independence day which was fun. AFTER LONG TIME WE ENJOYED A LOT ON THIS PARADISE ON EARTH MOUNTAIN CLUB – MUNNAR

The moment I entered the main gate, till check out, every aspect of the stay was simply superb. Staff are really courteous. Good food, great ambience. Crystal clean rooms, beds, bathrooms. The Resort is really serene. Simply, the staff makes us so much cons table, so that they accepted every little request. Food is delicious, I would highly recommend this place, if you are for Munnar. It's one of my best experienced Mountain Club Resort Munnar. 2 years back, I was in Club Mahindra, compared to that, I would highly recommend this place, 100 times better in every aspect of it. My parents, son, and my wife, every body felt really happy. Thank you guys. Our family enjoyed your hospitality. Keep it up!

Very good, overall beautiful and well maintained resort and nice view and a park for kids too.
We took a single bedroom cottage which was upgraded to a double bedroom cottage as we were the only guests there. Room was neat and view was fantabulous. Munnar is right now safe to travel. Staff were well mannered and helpful in our 2 day visit we saw Kolukkumalai view point. Road is very bad and can go only in jeep. So don't attempt if you have any health issues. Eravikulam national park is around 1 hour from the resort and Neelakurinji has started to bloom and Anayirankal dam and boating is 30 minutes from the resort.

Overall a good experience, though the facility is bit in the older side, is decently maintained and didn’t find any issues with cleanliness or aesthetics. Liked the indoor game area that has quite a lot of games available. The bed size was an issue as it wasn’t queen size i believe. And the food was decent enough but was way too costly. And since there is no good restaurants nearby, it felt like you have no other way than pay 550rs for an average biriyani. That said food isn’t bad, its just heavily overpriced. But overall it was a reasonably good stay for 2 days, and we as a family enjoyed it.

Stay at the Resort was comfortable. There were not much guests. It is not advisable to travel to the Chinnakkanal area where this Resort is located. The road connecting Munnar Town and this area is completely destroyed. I travelled without checking this. After I returned back there was a landslide on the road that we travelled. Resort is completely comfortable and good staff. May not be that much great for toddlers and babies as there are less activities and running space for them. It is advised to book the Resort once the roads are completely revamped and when there is no rain.

Good stay, very cordial staff, including the interns. Only negative is the food. Some items were good especially the south indian food others need improvement.

Stay was excellent, location and resort in a very calm area very good resort for family, staff are very helpful good, around property there is lot of options for family and children's, food is tasty however rate are little bit high. Most important drawback is media kit is not available. Me and my family stay there, very good opinion.

We booked a 2 bed cottage, the one we got had no view at all, it was just a cottage with 2 bed rooms. Pool has access to big valley and it was beautiful. Food is good. For what i have paid 15k per night, don’t think it’s a value for money deal!

The whole experience was excellent ambience, food, hospitality and the staff was very nice. Weather and the surrounding was wonderful will plan a revisit in next year

We thoroughly enjoyed our stat at mountain club. The location was very quiet and ideal for sunrise hike at kollukumalai. The staff at the restaurant were great. They even kept our breakfast ready when we returned late from our hike. They even offered to make fresh for breakfast, though it was past breakfast time. Great place to relax from hustle and bustle of munnar town. The cottage was spacious and had all the amenities.

I had booked the Resort from 11 aug to 15 aug but due to rains was not able to reach. Syam helped me postpone the reservation to 31 aug to 4 Sep without any charges immediately over email.

Beautiful place to stay for a vacation. Nice climate. Good service and variety food for breakfast and dinner.

It was a wonderful stay in the superb cottage. Had a wonderful holiday.
