Good location. Amenities are very basic, but we didn't expect much either. The service and the behavior of the staff are very professional and helpful. We stayed at the wooden cottage which is quite big and value for money. The food is average and lacks variety. Got necessary help from the kitchen for our 2 year old kid. The cleanliness needs to be improved and breakfast spread needs to be widen. Also there is little lack of dining space when most of the rooms are occupied. The location was really good and close to the Chikmagalur town. There is not enough parking space inside the property but fortunately we managed to parked inside the boundary for all three night that we stayed there. Overall, it was a nice stay if you are looking for a decent budget option near the town.

The ambience of the cottages are awesome. The rooms are large, well maintained. Lots of space to spend time outdoors. Kids would love the playing area with swings, rabbits and birds. You could also play badminton or volleyball. There is an open place for having food which by the way was very good (mix of veg and non veg). Tea and coffee can be availed anytime. The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. They would also arrange for the sightseeing if required. Parking is limited to 2 vehicles and after that it will have to be parked outside the compound. No Wi-Fi. Compared to the cottages the bungalow rooms might appear little smaller(4 rooms on the first floor) hosts were amazing taking care of everything. Overall a very memorable experience.

We were two couples so booked the cottages side by side. Room was very clean, all essentials were provided. Lunch and breakfast was very well cooked, dinner though was average. For those who are vegetarian may feel lack of options however you can order food from outside restaurants and they will deliver to your room. It offers a lot of indoor and outdoor games. Location of the property is good, main market is probably 3-4 kms away. Open jeep is available for sight seeing on additional cost. Overall had a great time and will definitely recommend mountain valley to my friends.

I would really recommend this homestay. We stayed there on December 2016 for 2 nights and 3 days and our stay was awesome, really liked the place and the staff were too courteous. Even they helped us plan our trips and guided us with our plans. They arranged bonfires at night and food was also good. They have a small play area and also you can take their by cycles for a ride. I have a 4 year old kid and he wont eat outside food for which I was a bit worried, but with this home stay I could get food cooked specifically for my kid, Thanks to the nice staff.

It was a pleasant stay for us. Whatever was assured by the host and is displayed in the mmt were up to the mark. Ambiance was very nice especially in the night with lights in the garden area. The garden is having cute rabbits, love birds, space for children to play and many more. But felt the price for the food in costly but anyhow you have the luxury of ordering your own food via zomato. It was a good experience. Ambience within the standard rooms was also awesome. Overall the host was very friendly and its a good place.

The cottage room is adequately spacious and the place had nice ambience. The services was extremely good. The location of the homestay is very nice. All the staff is courteous, well mannered and very helpful. We stayed here with our young baby and didn't have to worry about milk availability. We always received warm milk on request. Personally, I feel the food was good, however, this is one department where there is scope for some improvement. Overall, we had a great experience here during our 2 night stay.

It was centrally located with both chickmangluru town and tourist spots nearby. The best part of the stay was really hospitable staff .. Very good food and staff were ready to do that extra mile for customer service. This place has a beautiful garden and small play area where kids can have a really good time ... It would suggest this place for all the family travellers ... Our rooms were little smaller in size as we had booked bungalow room, the cottages are pretty awesome ...

We had stayed in Mountain Valley in Jan 2017. Location is nice in terms of proximity to the city and tourist attractions. Though surroundings are a little dull but you won't care about them once you enter the homestay. It is a small and cozy homestay, but so much thought and detailing has been done in each corner, with pretty interiors and many pets. Room (Bungalow) was small and washroom even smaller. Owners were very hospitable. Food - breakfast was good, dinner okayish.

We were 5 friends and took 2 rooms. The homestay was really beautiful :-) and the room had a balcony with a beautiful view :-). The homestay was really clean. The way they treated us was also really good. It is close to major tourist spots.

Stay was good but MMT didn’t confirm us that two standard room was confirmed by Mountain Valley Homestay | Rooms & Caretaker instead of 1 Deluxe and 1 Standard as paid by us, so we had to adjust. We should have got a refund from MMT.

Simple and best Mountain Valley Homestay | Rooms & Caretaker with limited amenities but has good food and rooms great homestay. Rooms were good, very calm and cool place to stay. Don't expect swimming and Wi-Fi as this is home stay. Near to all sightseeing places.

The homestay is close to the city. We stayed in a normal room which is good for a couple. Only thing is bathroom is very small. The location, room service, cleanliness everything is good except food which is very average also costly. Other than thay everything is worth.

Good homestay, very well decorated, food was awesome, staff is very good, go for cottages, basic rooms are very small and bathroom also very small. Good for couple not for family (go for cottages in that case).

We found Everything seems good. There is no internet at room is only major disadvantage. People are so friendly and they listen well. Overall, it's a good experience. Location seems to be fine as it's neither away to city not far away to the places.

Very beautiful property with nice breakfast and dinner

Staff was very helpful and kind. Rooms were clean and spacious Location was good, it's just at the border of the city nearer to sightseeing. Resort was clean and well maintained. Food Offered was also good. Cannot complain about anything of my 2 days of stay. Will definitely recommend anyone visiting Chikkamagaluru.

Best home stay we've ever stayed in. Relatively closer to main attractions, Mullayanagiri peak, Buttermilk waterfalls and Baba Budangiri. Food is decent. Guided and helped us with sightseeing packages at quite competitive rates. Even helped us fetch auto for nearby visits. Courteous and very helpful staff. They also have a good number of cycles which you are allowed to take outside the property- free of cost!
