Mountside Cottage | Rooms & Caretaker

The room is in Ooty inside deep lanes making it hard to locate and the map location is not accurate. The watchman takes care of everything and the service was good.
It was very difficult to locate and the numbers given in the site are not responsive. It took us about an hour to reach the room and check-in since there was no one and the owners number was not working. Otherwise the room was as advertised but it had no towels and soap and the water heater was not working.

Positives:1.- Caretakers are very nice, they provided tasty food with very low cost. 2.- Hotel located in some what far from city, if you like the loneliness, it's suitable for you. 3.- We can see the mountain from balcony, its very nice. Negatives:1.-You must have your own vehicle to reach the Mountside Cottage | Rooms & Caretaker, preferred bike. 2.- Delivery boys don't want to come this location. 3.- Bassoons are there, don't come outside alone in night time.

It was a bit difficult to find the place on the 1st day but the owner helped as much and we were able to find the road. Excellent care taker and the food he prepared was awesome. Very reasonable as well. Tv and wifi were not working but everything was above the par and definitely a suggestive place for my friends and family. Excellent

Far away from Ooty, but I will say, Worth of going there. The place was awesome. U can smell the nature and feel the beauty. Apart from that no shops, no parking. Only one person is looking after cooking and service. So, if u want to sacrifice the basics. U can visit this place

Cottage is situated in peaceful area, surrounded with hills and tea gardens. View from terrace is amazing. Rooms were cozy and service was good. Just the roads towards the place was not properly build, you'll experience bumpy ride during your travel. :)

The view from balcony and caretaker Palani is the best. Though it is 3.8km from mainland, it is very difficult to reach there. Autowalas ask 300, bus will take you for 7 but reaching there is a herculean task.

The location of the property is great but reaching out there is difficult to the Road it is very small. The area is very pathetic. Food was great. I would like to recommend this property.

It is a good environment to stay. Room neat and clean

Room is good. Service is also good. 24hrs hot water was available. Pre Checked in was allowed. Location is very remote. You cannot reach directly with car/auto. You need to walk at least 500mtr. Very hard to reach at night.

Great place, nice scene-tic view through balcony. Staff will prepare your food, just need to inform them early.

A good place to stay in ooty, just the location is quite outside, you have to spend a lot money to travel here if you are travel-ling by auto, but except this it's a good place.
