MTDC Bhandardara

We booked the resort to attend fireflies mohotsav. We booked non ac lake-view rooms as ac rooms were not available. Though it was summer it doesn't feel like in the property. Our rooms were cool enough and cool breeze was coming from the lake. The lake-view rooms have excellent view of the lake. The rooms are specious, having a terrace like large balcony. The bed is good, bedsheet & blanket were clean. The bathroom is good and clean. You get a tv and a small fridge in the room but the fridge is too small and doesn't cool properly. Overall cleanliness in the property is good. The property is huge and full of greenery. It is well maintained. We had a dinner in the canteen. It was delicious. The service was also good. You easily get a guide if you want to see fireflies. They take you in the nearby jungle. It's a must have experience. Overall a nice stay. The only drawback is lack of intercom & wify. They give you room service on phone calls but mobile network is very week and you cant call from your room. No wify and no internet. So this is not the place if you want to do work from home.

We had a short stay of one & half days at this resort. The suite that we booked was decent with necessary amenities and a good view of lake. We didn't use acs as the overall climate was much pleasant than the city. The washroom was large with basic toiletries. There is also ample car parking. The restaurant was little away from our suite, and which ensured a good walk before & after the food and a good time to spend with surroundings. Veg food which we had ordered was amazing in taste, good on quantity and definitely value for money. The preparation time was bit longer. Take a guide if you want to do some sight seeing. They charge usually rs. 500 for 3-4 hrs to show the places around in your vehicle. However ensure to see they are authorised guide with proper id. Absolutely there was nothing to complain about. It's a safe place, excellent view and at best of the location. Highly recommended esp if you are travel-ling with family. One needs to be little patient as service time could be bit longer as compared to top notch private resorts/MTDC Bhandardaras.

MTDC Bhandardara resort is a great place to stay..pls don't go with a five star resort expectation.. it's reasonably well maintained, govt owned property 1) location - the best.. the view is breathtaking.. we stayed with family in lake view premium ac rooms. Room service is slow, but you won't need much. rooms are well kept, clean with basic amenities. hot water available 24*7. 2) it's right on the lake and all places for sightseeing are accessible from here, via a car. 3)- Food: Menu is basic and limited but well prepared food. we enjoyed bhakri, zhunka, poha, sheera etc . Meals are tasty, hygenic, though service is slow.. but again you have all the time here😊 3) guides are available and i sugggest you take one to explore the place Fully. we have great sighting of fireflies.. it was magical. 4) the place is very windy.. the breeze is super clean and cool.. overall amazing weather with such rich view all around.

Located on lake, you have a nice view of dam and it's adjacent area. We had opted for special room non-ac and it was nice and coozy. This room is kind of small house with a sitting area outside the room. The bathroom is modern and clean. The food was ok and with limited options. The complimentary breakfast was good and with 4-5 options from which you have to choose 1. For people planning to visit bhandardhra please note the best time to visit is from second week of august. At this time you will get to see the water spilling from dam which is a good experience. Don't miss the drive around the lake which is a 40 km drive and the best part of it is sandhan valley and konkan-kada. Enjoy!

I'd booked most basic room since i was visiting in monsoon & hence ac wasn't necessary. Still room was very good, it had huge balcony giving pleasant view of arthur lake. It's location is such that you can go on stroll to lake within 5 min itself. Food served was also quite good. Though they don't have breakfast buffet, but that's not a big deal. For every order they prepare fresh tea & coffee. All items served were good in taste. Even they have huge seating area outside restaurant. So if you are visiting bhandadara, make sure you book your room here only. Ps: google maps may mislead you, so follow sign boards once you are within 3 kms to this MTDC Bhandardara.

The location of mtdc is excellent. Though there were issues like water dripping from ac, flush giving intermittent problems, electrical points giving issues, etc, would definitely repeat a stay over here. The staff is very polite and eager to help. The most negative part of this mtdc is a pathetic restaurant facility. They really need to greatly improve on it. They need to revamp the canteen structure. First and foremost any restaurant should be on the ground floor. And they have ample scope for that. A lake view professionally managed restaurant will go a long way in increasing the valuation of this mtdc bhandardara.

Comfortable stay with a scenic view of the arthur lake. The drive towards the location is awesome, despite visiting during the dry season (may. Would definitely love to visit during the rains. Had booked a deluxe ac suite facing the lake. However, was provided a suite quite inside the property. Nevertheless, the rooms are decent and spacious with all amenities, though basic. The restaurant serves good food. Though the options are limited, the food is tasty and service is prompt. Due to the dry season, didnt have much to visit around. A visit to the amruteshwar temple was totally worth it.

Stayed at mtdc bhandardara in may 23 for 2 nights. We stayed in the deluxe a/c suite lake view. The rooms were clean and tidy and the service was good enough. The view was good with the lake being bang opposite the room. They have a restaurant which has a limited menu. The quality of food is good enough but the speed of service leaves a lot to be desired. You need to wait at least for about half an hour post which the food is likely to be delivered be it room or restaurant service. The surroundings are clean and have a good garden and lake around. Overall a good place for a family outing.

Deluxe ac suites are a good option with a verandah and lake facing view. Rooms are quite spacious and restaurants serve good veg food too. Staff is very friendly

Very good reception at the counter at arrival. Good rooms, neat and clean, breakfast, lunch and dinner quality very good. Polite response from staff. Mtdc location at bhandardara is very nice.

all rooms were almost booked and we have to settle with standard room with no view(as per website). but to my surprise this is really nice having tv, fridge, huge balcony, clean bathroom. bed is really big and comfy. with pleasant weather of bhandardara nobody really needs ac. mtdc really maintained this property really well. it is really spread in big area with superb lake view. restaurant is also very good and reasonable. highly recommended resort. well done mtdc 👍🏻

Location of resort and food are the main positives of this resort. Everything else is satisfactory. Due to power cut offs we faced some issues but otherwise we were comfortable. Also it was not mentioned that we needed to pay extra for the bed/towel/toiletries of child. We thought it was included. Please mention that.

The room was well appointed and comfortable. The only deficiency was absence of a light over the bathroom mirror. The food was good. The cutlery of the restaurant needs to improve in quality and numbers.

Location of the property is the key highlight. The rooms are spacious and clean. However these can be upgraded with basic modern amenities if mtdc chooses to. The staff is courteous and helpful

Mtdc stay surpassed our expectations. The non ac rooms we stayed in were spacious and renovated. The entire property has a fantastic view of the river. Food was good too.

Mtdc is quite inside but situated right next to arthur lake which makes it totally a prime location. Beautiful lake, surrounded by trees and can enjoy winds throughout the day. We enjoyed every bit of it. Stay was fine. Rooms are specious and clean. Well maintained. The only problem was room service. It was extremely slow due to lack of manpower. The property is huge but requires manpower to run smoothly.
