MTDC Karla

We had booked deluxe cottage non-ac and we had gone there in first week of june. Room/bathroom was clean. The furniture was old, the sofa should have been thrown away few years back. Bedsheets/pillow covers were super clean, blanket was old but clean. Mtdc kurla was built in 1976, so comparatively the property has been maintained well. Lot of mango trees where you can eat mangoes as they fall, perfect stuff. Restaurant itself is fine. Nothing great, it does its work. There are dhabas on the highways too. No room service, even though it is there but assume it is not. Property too huge for the restaurant too support it. Management people are fine, if you want something you need to go and tell them personally few time. This is a state govt MTDC Karla, so expect govt way of working. Property is absolutely quiet and beautiful, next to indrayani river where boating can be done.

Its a 60 years old property set up with approx 70 odd bungalows of different size and fits. The property itself is huge and if you plan to stick to basics and peace with nature all around you, its the right choice. Do not expect best in class services from the staff. It tool us 24 hrs to get our towels and for the 2 day halt never got the bed sheets and pillows till we left. Restaurant is average and do not expect tea coffee after 10 am till 4 pm and later than 6 pm. Kind of wired also they take last order at 9:30. So you need to be vary. We enjoyed as we had 4 wheelers and the property has lots of options to eat around a 5 km radius. Overall i would rate the property 3. Out of 5.

The property is a bit old fashioned and not exactly in an perfect state, but it is in well maintained state. The periphery of the property is so huge, it would take almost 30 min-1 hour for you to walk to each nook and corner here. It has a water park and river touch deck, where you can walk over a mini dam, sit in peace with nature and enjoy it's trail. The reception staff, especially the one who is in night shift, is really humble and makes special efforts to make you feel at home and his professionalism is beyond words. It's worth then spending thousands in so called 1 bhk villa's in lonavla.

Worth visiting again n again. It was our first time and i wasn't sure if it's going to be worthwhile, but to my surprise we had amazing stay. If you are a nature lover and wants a place just to relax and be calm then this is the best place for you. There is a canal in the premise where you can enjoy boating with additional cost. View is amazing and even if it's summer, there was a fog in the morning. Resort has lots of trees so you won't feel a heat in the afternoon. Play areas for kids are not very well maintained but other than that it's worth visiting.

The location is awesome, you can feel calm and beauty of nature in the stay itself. These are true heritage rooms date back to 1960s, inside forest. The water park is very close, the property is clean well maintained. As the property is very old the furniture, ceilings are have rustic look some pieces of rust may fall down in bathrooms but bathrooms are clean the staff is cooperative and polite. It is difficult for them to manage room service as spread is wide ( about 50 acre. We got their support whenever required.

Mtdc karla is the quickest getaway from pune on the way to lonavala. It was a lush green campus with many types of stay options. Completely isolated from the hustle bustle of daily life and serene. The indrayini river flows right next to the campus and there is a small check dam. You can have a great stay and have good food at their own restaurant. It is very close to kurla caves, lohagad fort and harishchandragardh.

Courteous, helpful staff, great location and a large property in the greens. Enough open space and walkways. Room was clean and comfy, toilet was functional with hot water. Linen was changed. Check-in and check-out were smooth. A few areas for improvement: no intercom. One has to dial a mobile number from one's own mobile for reaching reception, room service. That can be tricky because mobile network is often patchy.

This resort is simply fabulous. The rooms are large, spacious and very good amenities. The garden rooms are the best. The suite rooms are even more fabulous. I loved the opportunity to sit out in the balcony and enjoy my evening drink. Everything was so romantic and beautiful. The nearby lohagad fort and bajaj caves and kurla caves are a must-do. I loved them and the spectacular views.

The perfect place to stay for peaceful holiday, the other locations kurla caves, visapur fort, lohlad are within 10 to 15 km. The rooms are spacious, hygiene is good, service is good. The food is ok the best part is the river, no crowd, no disturbance, just we and the nature. Will definitely visit nextime

Location is good and near old mumbai pune highway. Room was neat and clean. Surrounding area was good. Food was excellent. Overall i am satisfied with the arrangement and stay was pleasent.

Property was very big, there was a river nearby. Location is just near the highway so well placed. We went over the weekend, so it was very crowded and the restaurant was trying hard to manage the footfall. Food was okay don't expect too much they are understaffed and place is not adequate when they have heavy footfall over weekends. Good time is to go during weekdays.

The property is old but has its own charm in the monsoon, i recommend the cottage instead of a regular room.

Really nice experience of stay during monsoon season. Room and toilet was clean. Room service was good. Canteen service and food taste was also good. Overall a very good stay experience away from city.

Rooms are not much clean scope for improvement. Water park boating facility not working. River side was full of garbage

Excellent satisfaction for cleanliness, however foods needs to improve.

Good stay. Mtdc locations are prime.

Place is very good. We enjoy our day. Rooms was nee t and clean. Food also tasty. Climat is awesome.
