MTDC Malshej Ghat

We had taken the Valley View room. The scenery from the balcony was excellent. Food was tasty. Staff was polite and well mannered. Only thing that needs improvement is the lack of a swimming pool and a good play area for kids.

The location of the property is excellent but the rooms are pathetic. There is a large scale seepage and when we complain at the reception, they start crying with their own story. The staff says MTDC is government owned and there is a lot of bureaucracy to get small things sanctioned. I have stayed at other state tourism owned properties but this was in a bad condition and never expected this. The only positive is the food served as it is tasty and served in time.

The location is superb. But MTDC Malsej Ghat is worst as far as the facilities are concerned. The rooms are really bad, full of damp walls, no electric connections are functioning. Most surprising there is jo Mobile connectivity. Foods are below average. Please make the hotel proper before charging it hugely.

I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel. The hygiene and cleanliness were terrible — the rooms were dirty, the bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly, and there was a bad smell everywhere. The bedsheets and towels looked used, and the floors were full of dust. Maintenance is also very poor — broken fittings, leaking taps, and stained walls. The overall atmosphere felt neglected and unhygienic. Definitely not worth the money. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone unless they seriously improve their cleaning and upkeep.

MTDC Malshej Ghat is located in a beautiful, peaceful spot surrounded by mountains and valleys and the views are truly breathtaking, especially early in the morning and during sunset. The rooms are spacious and well-ventilated, though a bit basic in terms of amenities. Housekeeping could be a little more prompt, but the staff is polite and helpful. The property is perfect for nature lovers, bird watchers, and anyone looking for a quiet getaway away from the city. The on-site restaurant serves simple but decent food; do keep your expectations modest. Overall, a lovely place to relax, enjoy the scenic beauty, and unwind with family or friends. Would definitely recommend visiting during or just after the monsoon for the best experience!

The stay was pleasant & comfortable close to natural scenery. Spacious feel like staying in a big government colony. However, MTDC may improve the quality food served at the cafeteria.

Feedback on stay at MTDC, Malshej:- 1. Location is quite good, however very very poor maintenance of the property. 2. ⁠Food standards are below average. Staff is untrained, poor hospitality. 3. ⁠Rooms are not worth a charges. Stinking rooms, not painted for years as seem, no toiletries placed other than small soap with a towel, no basic amenities in room. Overall room standards are poor. Thanks

Property location is good. We can see valley from balcony. Room was big and clean. Food options are limited but fine

The walls in the rooms were seeping water heavily...no wifi in the rooms and most places in the resort. Infact, my parents and I walked out and checked into a nearby hotel. I'm still hopeful that I will get a refund.

The food was not upto the standard further the rooms were in very bad shape the entire property was not managed no take care of the property

Property is poorly maintained, water seepage in rooms fungus and bad smell, staff trying their best to pleaser however support is lacking from the overall incharge for properly maintaining such a beautiful planned resorts

Pathetic maintenance of the property. Horrible experience. Will not recommend anybody. Even door latch was not working & opening because of strong winds.

The Room walls were fully damp. Door locks between adjacent rooms were broken, luckily the adjacent room was occupied by our friends

My stay was simply the best I’ve ever experienced! The hospitality was outstanding and the comfort made it unforgettable. The weather was also perfect, which made the trip even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

The property location was awesome but the rooms were not maintained properly. There were dampness at multiple places in the room. The phone in room were not working, neither the tv or the wifi

We had booked the Valley View Cottages for our stay, but the experience was very disappointing. The cottage allotted to us had fungus all over the walls, chairs, and even the bed headboard. When we requested a change, the reception staff was unhelpful and only after repeated insistence showed us another cottage, which was in even worse condition. It’s really shocking that such poorly maintained cottages are being charged at over per night. The place is in a remote location, but the maintenance and service do not match the price at all. We felt misled and regretted booking here.

Excellent location who wants to enjoy fog in monsoon. Restaurants serve good food. Good service. very spacious rooms.

Property is at a great location and food is also good, but it is not maintained properly. I stayed in a cottage which was full of frogs and spiders. Stay was not value for money what i have paid.
