New Sea Palace Houseboats

Stayed at the houseboat with my wife and daughter on 4th may 18, houseboat is good half a km away from the main Road, one has to take a Shikara to reach this spot, Road goes throw the floating markets, we paid Rs. 600/for the Shikara ride, drop and the next day pick was included in the cost along with the sure seeing. Houseboat is relatively New with nice woodwork, balcony gives you a beautiful view of the Dal Lake and the mountains. Since the location is little inside, there is absolutely no noise of vehicle or any kind of pollution. Living room and the dining is extremely tastefully done, there are 3 rooms with attached toilets. Rooms have decent furniture, bedsheets and blankets were clean and nice. Bathroom was absolutely New and clean. Best part of the stay was the host Alisaab and the home cooked food, we absolutely relished the simple potato sabji, capitis, dal and rice. Alisaab also mentioned the days when Raj Kapoorji spent quite a bit of time at the Houseboats shooting films ea. Go. Bobby, ram Teri Ganga Maili etc. And the time they spent together. Even if there were New Sea Palace Houseboatss, Raj Kapporji preferred staying at the houseboat due to the serenity Around. If you are in Srinagar, one must spend at least 1 night at the 5 New Sea Palace houseboat, highly recommended.

The house boat is located near Ghat 12 of Dal lake. They offer complimentary pick and drop from main road via Shikara. The view is great from here. The rooms are very spacious with two double bed and one single bed. The bathrooms are big with 24 hrs hot running water. Bed sheets and linens were clean. There is one big living area with TV, sofas and one dining area. The floors are covered with carpet, so you have to open your shoes once you enter the house boat. Dinner tasted like home made food. In breakfast we had option of bread toast, poha and omelettes along with tea/coffee. There was just one care taker, Ali Bhai. The owner needs to have one more helper who should be at the houseboat round the clock. Since the kitchen is not at houseboat, Ali bhai had to keep on doing the rounds and there were times when we had to ask for something and there was no one. Rest everything is good. You can have the Shikara ride for 500 for one hour. But for that you need to ask your houseboat caretaker because they have their own pact and no other shikara wala will take his customers.

New Sea Palace is very best house boat. Specially thanks to Mr. Kamran an this man is work on house boat. All facilities are provide, this man very perfectly. And Mr. Sahil owner is a very good person, he arrange my Kashmir tour cab. So I request to all, please booking this house boat. And enjoy your stay safely and familiar member. House boat is a very good neat and clean. Bathroom are specially very best. And living area and dining area is also nice decoration. Food is required to good taste. Once again I really enjoy for this house boat. Specially the to Mr. Kamran and Mr. Sahil is a very carry person. So I request all go to Kashmir with only and only, New Sea Palace and full enjoy with your family. Thank you.

Perfect location balcony gives you a beautiful view from the houseboat. Staff cooperative, helpful and hospitable. Room quality spacious with 2 beds (single and double), clean and neat rooms with 24 hours hot water, great wooden work with modern. Washrooms, living area and dining area are available on houseboat. Eating options either book houseboat with complementary or get with you from nearby restaurants. Recommended take Shikara ride to char Chinar via all the sightseeing points such as Kabutar Khana, Nehru Park, etc. No need to have Shikara ride for 1 hour or 2 hours. We stayed for 3 days in this house boat. It has 3 rooms quite spacious and very well maintained. Very neatly maintained. The houseboat is very well decorated with traditional Kashmiri wooden works which make stay very memorable. The owner Mr. Ali and his son is very helpful. Had lot of discussion with Mr. Ali about the golden days of Kashmir and how it was when he was himself a child. His son Mr. Sahil gave very good advice on our travel plans and prevented us from getting misguided in any way. The food was like home made and very tasty. Overall it was a very memorable stay.

Had one of the grt experience at this place.Its a very peacefull place.the property manager Sahil bhai is very helpful n responsive at every circumstances.n he is der always to ask whether we need anything.rooms are well maintained with all the ameties.food is homecooked and delicious as well.all the staffs are very kind n helpfull n very soft spoken…Inayat the caretaker is an amazing guy always der to help…enjoyed a lot this one night stay der n would surly recommend.

Well, I never thought that houseboats can be so clean. The property was beautiful and we felt like we are at home. The food was very simple and tasted homemade. The best part about our stay was our host, Sahil (The owner) was very humble, kind & supportive, and helped in so many ways with directing and arranging our travels. Even the vendors who were allowed on the boat were very genuine and we shopped a lot😁. Thank you Sea Palace for making our stay so memorable

Excellent stay on a Houseboat. Very friendly owners Mr. Sahil who really looked after us. He arrange our tour to Gulmarg it was wonderful experience our driver shabbir was so nice and kind breakfast lunch dinner everything was so yummy Thanks to our butler who was the best. Had a great time in beautiful Kashmir. Very friendly people and my brother sister my uncle aunt please don't trust media they are paid media Kashmir is heaven not hell

Awesome experience. Must stay in Srinagar. Rooms are just awesome well finished. Hospitality is awesome. Must experience once. Perfect loaction. The interior of rooms is very good and perfectly kashmiri.

as a solo female traveller I had the best experience which is ofcourse was more then expected.. My thankful to all. the people for their hospitality. Highly recommended ☺️

It was a nice stay. Clean room, clean washroom, nice interior and an amazing view. we also booked shikara through houseboat owner and got a good deal. Inayat bhai as houseboat care taker is a nice person and helps you during your entire stay. we stayed there on 23rd March and it was very cold but that's normal as it's Kashmir :)

It was great experience staying at their houseboat. Good ambiance, co operative owner and nicely handled by Ibrahim and Sahil. Staff were very kind people and loved the stay.

We were group of 15 people and booked 5 rooms on triple sharing basis. Rooms were big enough to accommodate comfortably. The view from the boat is beautiful. Complimentary pick up and drop from Gate. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Good Breakfast was served Highly Recommended !!

Enjoyed the stay, shikara service was prompt and courteous. Overall a pleasant experience.

Mr. Ali, rhe houseboat caretaker was very good, helpful and served good and tasty food in the dinner and the breakfast. However about the room, there were a lot of mosquitos inside the room and no anti mosquitos repellent was available in the room. Mosquitoes bitten all over the face of my one year old son. The beds were not cozy and comfortable. Rest, All in all good package and we enjoyed our stay there.

Amazing experience, amazing location, amazing food, amazing hospitality. It's not as if you are their guest, they treat you like you are family. I personally requested for a sweet dish at the end of the dinner and he made it at no extra cost. Ali bhai (chacha) is an adorable human being. Please make sure you stay here for as long as possible and enjoy the time. Talk to him as much as you can to know more and more about Srinagar.
