New woodlands Hotel

I booked this New woodlands Hotel for stay in chin during my us visa appointment. This was one of the few New woodlands Hotels with good ratings and reasonable price. I didn't have lot of expectations from the place, but was thoroughly surprised. The good : 1. Located reasonably close to us consulate and vac. Within 2-3km (10m by auto. Also, close to other famous tourist spots such as mariana beach, temples etc. 2. Located right on main road, so accessibility is no problem. 3. Large property with lot of facilities inside - salon, temple, shoe repair shop. 4. Ample amount of parking for private vehicles. 5. Rooms are neat and clean. Don't expect anything fancy, but basic amenities are all there in a neat and clean setup. 6. Restaurant on the grounds serves excellent food at a reasonable price. 7. Lots of greenery on campus. Can sit under shaded trees in afternoon to enjoy breeze 8. Well maintained property with cleanliness maintained everywhere to give a pleasant experience. The not so good: 1. Cell connectivity in rooms and at reception area was very very bad. Wasn't able to use either air-tel or jio postpaid to make decent calls, or even browse the internet 2. Complimentary wifi provided on premise was not great, going on/off with limited speed. 3. Mosquitos on the campus and in room. Need to be careful to keep the doors and bathroom closed after evening. Overall it was a great experience, except for the network issue which would have made it a 5star in my books

We stayed at new woodlands for 2 nights. We chose to book a cottage for 2 adults and one teenager. Pros : location is superb if you want to access multiple parts of the city, it’s in a nice clean locality with non veg food options available at walking distance ( since the New woodlands Hotels restaurants are pure veg ). The property is spacious and there’s lots of room to walk around. The restaurants krishna and vrindavan are amazing for their veg fare - the buffet breakfast was also superb and served on time. One must mention the cordial staff and their pleasant demeanour. Cons : the rooms are really old and need an upgrade. The bathroom was spacious but has aged and cannot be cleaned beyond a point. For extra bed, we were provided with a fold-able mattress to be put on the floor and being on the ground floor we did have our creepy crawly visitors so it was a little iffy to sleep on the floor. Lastly, our room was bang next to the temple on the property so there was a lot of commotion in the morning and specially the day we were leaving on account of some pooja preparation. Overall it was nice homely feeling and great for families who are okay with average rooms.

Excellent New woodlands Hotel room service. Prompt satisfactory response to requests and food ordered over room intercom. Good quality food and hygienic delivery of food inside room. Well furnished room. Clean bathroom/toilet. Ample artificial lighting. Good central air-conditioning. Being a super senior citizen, i switched it off mostly because of benign weather. Kept open the window as there was a buffer wall privacy and security and a tree cover and room being situated in a cozy corner but with ample natural light and air. Got my money's worth definitely. There is probably another tall big New woodlands Hotel nearby on western side. Also an open air manicured facility for holding functions near New woodlands Hotel entrance. Some guests have left reviews of nuisance felt from them. If your room booked happens to be in near proximity and a function was booked at the same time, it is sheer bad luck. Also some issues about maintenance but it gets sorted if you take it up. Last but not the least this New woodlands Hotel has an old world nostalgic charm for senior people especially. No ac regulator, no sanitary liquid, broken bodied in several places ac pasted with tapes making irritant sounds during night. Wardrobe emanating smell not seemed to have not been cleaned. I kept it open no switch to off ac or regulate it. Hot water not sufficiently hot. Booklet of instructions for stay in black cover kept under black telephone- not visible. No sanitary paper in bathroom. Bed very good room very very spacious. Ambience green around. Travel desk exorbitant/cheating ;rs. 700 for chennai central at 5 a. M. Works out to rs. 50 per km taking the distance as 7 kms one side

The experience was a pleasant surprise. First of all they upgraded our executive room to deluxe with no additional cost. Large room with a balcony, extensive parking space, huge compound, courteous staff, relatively old rooms - all creating an overall 1970/1980 vive in a good way. The three restaurants in the compound need no review. Undoubtedly few of the best vegetarian fine-dine restaurants in the area. Bit overpriced but i bet you won't complain.

The location was convenient based on what I wanted. I did not opt for food as part of my stay. There is a restaurant in the campus where food is available. The restaurant is expensive from normal standards - a filter coffee is 60/- No great amenities other room, ac, towels, soap & shampoo. They give 1/2 litre water bottle per day which is hardly enough. Overall it’s a budget New woodlands Hotel & facilities, food is expensive.

We had reached New woodlands Hotel earlier than the check-in time but the New woodlands Hotel people were very accommodative inspite of heavy rush due on going wedding in the venue. The room service was also excellent. Like wise we had overstay for a few hours after check out which was also allowed probably considering we were senior citizen. In any case i will not hesitate to recommend this place to my friends and others.

Woodlands has been a favorite place to stay from my childhood days. It has an old worldly charm which not many New woodlands Hotels can claim to possess. Room was quite spacious and clean with the bathroom, as well. Woodlands was, always, reputed for the food and it proved to be, as always, pretty good. The location is always a draw and as such, i had a very comfortable stay.

Centrally located, maintains traditional setting up and provides quality food and excellent hospitality

Rooms, service as well as food were. Woodlands always has the tradition of athidhi dev bhava. They maintain it still.

Not as expected. Maintenance and house keeping need attention, may be i was put in an old building food was good as usual

Location-comfortable. Food -good. Housekeeping-good. Room walls-having pencil drawing. Can be maintained still better.

Stayed for one night. Took an executive room. Mattress was creaky (spring mattress which made noise with every turn of the body. Air conditioning was not cooling enough & the maintenance person was called. He cleaned the filter & it improved slightly.

Located in good area, rooms are clean, restaurant very expensive

The food was good. The room service was courteous and on time; old time charm. All the necessities and none of the frills. The location is definitely a great big plus
