Subpar stay. Avoid if traveling with kids.

Just the room was provided. Only a few plates, cutlery and bowls were provided in the name of kitchen/kitchenette. The staircase to the top room does not have railings. Very very basic stay with zero amenities. Only the location is good. The whole place is under construction. Avoid this place if you are travelling with family. They don’t even have a reception. 7-10k per night should not be charged for such poor service.

I recently spent two days in Varkala and chose Nikhil Beach Resort for the second night, primarily for its premium sea-view location on the South Cliff. The photos had set high expectations, and I'm happy to say the stay lived up to them. Since it was my second day, I had requested an early check-in, and Nikhil (the host) was extremely responsive and helpful, arranging it promptly. He stayed in touch via WhatsApp throughout and checked in regularly to ensure we were comfortable. The property shares space with Sarwa Café, which gave it a lively yet serene vibe. The staff, especially Ananthu (the manager), were courteous and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience. The room was clean, well-maintained, and had a genuinely premium feel. Nikhil also went the extra mile by suggesting local water sports options, which added to the fun. Overall, it was a relaxing, high-quality stay in a perfect location with great hospitality. Highly recommended if you're looking for a peaceful, scenic, and well-managed stay on the South Cliff.

coupleIt was a wonderful stay right along the cliff with a wonderful view of the beach. The rooms were so cozy and clean that we even thought of extending our stay. The view of the beach from the room was so amazing and it’s a perfect place to watch the sunset.

coupleIt was an amazing experience. The view from our room was incredible and we had a great time. Waking up to the sound and seeing the beautiful beach was the best thing. Also we had taken our pet along with us so my dog had a blast too. Thanks nikhil.
