Nilambag Palace Hotel

I recently had the pleasure of staying in nilambaug palace in bhavnagar. It was absolutely unique and memorable. The heritage palace, rooted deeply in history, gives glimpses into the life of a royal. It transports you back in time with architecture cum grandeur the whole complex boasts in its expanse of lawns and intricate detailing. The rooms are spacious and well-kept, though they do give off an old-world charm, though some of the amenities can be a little modern to add comfort. The staff hospitality is commendable; they always kept looking at us attentively and ensured that our stay was comfortable. The food served at the in-house restaurant of this palace was delicious, offering a combination of traditional gujarati and other indian dishes, plus it adds to the royal ambiance while dining. The most striking feature is, of course, its serene atmosphere-a refreshing departure from the frenetic pace of city life. Despite it needing a few upgrades, especially relating to modern facilities, the charm of staying in a royal palace compensates well beyond these shortcomings. It is perfect for anyone who likes experiencing heritage and luxury, in touch with history.

Hotel is well located - about 30 mins from airport. Facade looks impressive. Check in was quick & receptionists were efficient. Reception area is not air-conditioned- just a fan on the ceiling. Stayed in the royal cottage - room is large but requires to be upgraded. Tv is the old crt type 21 inches - haven't seen as small a tv as that in Nilambag Palace Hotel rooms in over 15 years! toilets could do with an upgrade as well - taps are very tight to operate especially when hands are wet! ac worked well. Food was good, sumptuous. Portions are large for the costs - feel that portion sizes can be reduced to avoid wastage? south indian menu was very tasty - sambhar tasted authentic south indian! parathas were good too. Laundry service was quick & clothes were returned the same day. One drawback - the staffs command of english was just satisfactory- need to have them improve their spoken english. Looking forward to my next trip & stay at this Nilambag Palace Hotel in bhavnagar.

Nilambag palace Nilambag Palace Hotel is a heritage Nilambag Palace Hotel and one of the oldest ij bhavnagar, gujarat. The rooms are spacious and bathrooms are huge. Service is good. All people who work there right from receptionist to cook and helpers are good and polite. They are always ready to make your stay comfortable. Food is good. Overall a pleasant stay. The only con was, the furniture looks a bit old and a little renovation/ change can really help the Nilambag Palace Hotel compete with other new ones now in town. Carpet in the room can be changed. There is no dim night light in the room. There are just small changes that can really help the traveller and Nilambag Palace Hotel both. For me personally, it was good and i also got a good discount thanks to make my trip. I will definitely recommend it to everyone i know.

A must have experience of royalty if you are visiting bhavnagar. Location is central and property is big and have amenities like gym and swimming pool. Heritage building is beautiful with it's old charm. I got a cottage outside main heritage building which was also big and spacious. Only thing which can be improved is the amenities should be upgraded and could be maintained more and professionaly. But overall it's a good property if you want to enjoy royal property at reasonable price. Bonus if you are lucky, you could get a chance to have a selfie with prince charming yuvraj of bhavnagar.

This is a real palace of the royal family, and the plus points are : 1) a big swimming pool, 2) small but working gym with old equipment, 3) a shooting range. 4) rooms windows are open able (they are not fixed, so you can have fresh air in the room, unlike other Nilambag Palace Hotels. 5) staff is really very nice and polite, 6) rooms are very clean. Negative points: 1) no exhaust fan in the bathroom/toilet, 2) no meal is included with the booking, 3) they leave their dogs unleashed in the night to safeguard the property.

Nilambaug palace Nilambag Palace Hotel is a great luxury choice to stay in bhavnagar. The royal cottages are not so royal but the palace and its heritage make it a wonderful and a comfortable stay. The paintings, the architectural beauty of the palace, the crockery etc. Make oneself feel proud of the rich and royal heritage of maharaja krushnakumarsinhji. The king was the first one to merge bhavnagar princely state into bharat and was admired by sardar vallabhbhai patel.

It was great experience in nilambag palace, nice ambience, peaceful atmosphere, security 100%, room service 200, reception help 100. All are polite in nilambag management. Only drawback is food is too expensive and not that good. Also cab drivers in nilambag charge plenty of amount, for 6 kms i gave 720 which is massive amount. Overall must visit place in bhav nagar

Nilambaug palace Nilambag Palace Hotel. Very comfortable stay. Very helpful staff. Good service. Though restaurant prices could have been more reasonable. Very accessible to various points in the city. Good for business travellers.

We visited neelambaug for a weekend getaway. Our stay was pleasant and comfortable. Glad to have visited a place rich in heritage and history. The rooms are spacious, clean and cosy. Staff is helpful. We also enjoyed working out in the gym. Looking forward to another visit

Excellent service, clean and spacious room, polite staff, beautiful ambiance with great services like the gym and pool, augustiene (the guy who showed us around the gym and pool) was very polite and friendly, overall great stay.

Highly recommended place for stay if you're viking bhavnagar and surrounding region, the food us awesome, managing staff is very polite, must stay here to feel the heritage of bhavnagar.
