Service
The service was slow, amenities not worth the price (technically none), breakfast barely had any options.

NEVER VISIT THEM, THE WORST STAY OF MY LIFE.
The Worst Experience Ever. I have visited numerous 5 star properties. This property doesn’t even deserve 2 stars or even a MMT LUXURY badge. I booked it considering that It is a premium property but turned out to be the most terrible stay of my life. The reception staff at the time of check out tried to cheat me by charging us way higher prices than as on menu excluding taxes and then when I questioned them about the same, they tried to compensate by making up some stories. The plunge pool in the room for which I paid 21000 and extra at property for an upgrade was such a waste, it was stinking badly and was in the worst condition that we couldn’t even step in. The housekeeping staff didnt answer or came to clean it even once on multiple requests from our side. The staff was pathetic and maintenance is so bad.

Beautiful Property with Great Amenities,
I recently stayed at this property, and overall, it was an excellent experience. The amenities were top-notch, including a beautiful lake pool, luxurious villas, and a well-maintained, spacious garden with plenty of room for kids to play. The pool was exceptionally large and clean, adding to the resort’s charm. One of the highlights of our stay was the variety of activities available, such as fish feeding, swan feeding, and kite flying. The swans in the garden were particularly delightful and added a unique touch to the serene atmosphere. However, the service did not meet expectations for a five-star resort. Every time we called reception to request something, there was a significant delay in response. In many instances, we had to follow up multiple times, which was quite disappointing. A resort of this caliber should provide more prompt and efficient service. Despite the service shortcomings, the overall experience was enjoyable, and the property itself is truly remarkable. If they improve their service responsiveness, this could easily be a perfect getaway destination.

Good Stay
Good: comfortable rooms and excellent ambience. Buffet breakfast had excellent options and there was no crowding at the swimming pool throughout the stay. Bad: there was no medical kit with essential medicines like vicks, paracetamol etc readily available at the hotel which was disappointing. The evening tea and snacks served at the chaayakada stall could be improved and the tea was surprisingly always cold even though it was brewed fresh at the stall private pools at the private pool villas had lot of debris (though how much this can be controlled is doubtful. Still it took away a little from the experience of the private pool. Also the colour of the tiles made it seem like the water was dirty even though it was not.

A Serene Staycation: Rediscovering the Backwaters with Our Little One
Our spontaneous change of plans led us to a relaxing staycation, where we could unwind and spend quality time as a family. It was a short yet refreshing two-night escape. We arrived at our hotel around 5:30 PM after a long but scenic 200 km road journey—leaving us a bit exhausted. A quiet dinner at the hotel set the tone for a restful night. The next morning, we indulged in the luxury of sleeping in before heading for a leisurely breakfast. A quick trip to Kottayam city was necessary for some essential shopping, and while there, we enjoyed a delightful lunch at a renowned restaurant serving authentic nadan cuisine. The flavors were rich and satisfying, making it a memorable meal. By evening, we were back in time for the much-anticipated shikara sunset ride—undoubtedly the highlight of our stay. This was our third visit to this beautiful backwater destination, with our previous visits being before Covid. However, this time felt extra special as it was our first visit after our daughter was born. Watching the golden hues of the sunset reflect over the calm waters while experiencing it through her curious eyes made it all the more magical. On our way back, we stopped at Tharavadu toddy shop for dinner, where the food turned out to be even better than what we had at the hotel. The next morning, we made the most of our private pool, a perfect way to start our final day before checkout. The staff were courteous, and while the restaurant food was just average (a common experience for someone from Kozhikode!), the beautiful ambiance and the luxury of the private pool made up for it. The pricing was on the higher side, but the overall experience was well worth it. It was a brief yet much-needed getaway, blending relaxation, local Kottayam food, and scenic beauty—just what we needed!

worst food and service ever
worst resort ever!!! i've visited at least 50 resorts across india, and i can confidently say this one is by far the worst!!!! the food takes over 2 hours to arrive, and it's all frozen. everything is frozen, and the chef has no idea how to properly defrost! the chef refused to eat his own food because he knew the meat was stale. he wouldn't even taste the soup, which was more like paste than liquid! the noodles were incredibly small, nowhere near the usual size. the food's appearance was absolutely unappetizing. hands down, the worst restaurant i've ever encountered. at our table of 5, 2 people were served water, and the other 3 were completely ignored. we literally had to protest just to get fresh, edible food! we asked for a refund, and the only thing my family of 10 managed to eat was ice cream, which, ironically, was also frozen. please, i urge you, do not come here. it’s the worst place ever. i’d rather stay home—alone—than be here, because at least you won’t go to bed hungry! the chefs and this resort are a complete embarrassment to the hotel industry, and the phrase "atithi devo bhav" means nothing here. they believe in "atithi looto bhav" (stealing from guests). please boycott this chain, or at least this specific property. it's a total waste of money and time for my family. after fighting for 30 minutes, we ordered halwa along with the ice cream, and even that was cold. do yourself a favor and don’t come here if you want to stay happy. the worst hotel ever. avoid this place for your own happiness.

Terrible Stay
i had a really frustrating experience at this hotel. we kept asking for multiple ice buckets, but they only brought us one each time. even after we explained our needs over the phone, they kept questioning if we really needed that many. it was really disappointing that they didn’t take our requests seriously. bad service.
