Niraamaya Retreats Backwaters and beyond, Kumarakom

Our spontaneous change of plans led us to a relaxing staycation, where we could unwind and spend quality time as a family. It was a short yet refreshing two-night escape. We arrived at our Niraamaya Retreats Backwaters and beyond, Kumarakom around 5:30 PM after a long but scenic 200 km road journey—leaving us a bit exhausted. A quiet dinner at the Niraamaya Retreats Backwaters and beyond, Kumarakom set the tone for a restful night. The next morning, we indulged in the luxury of sleeping in before heading for a leisurely breakfast. A quick trip to Kottayam city was necessary for some essential shopping, and while there, we enjoyed a delightful lunch at a renowned restaurant serving authentic nadan cuisine. The flavors were rich and satisfying, making it a memorable meal. By evening, we were back in time for the much-anticipated shikara sunset ride—undoubtedly the highlight of our stay. This was our third visit to this beautiful backwater destination, with our previous visits being before Covid. However, this time felt extra special as it was our first visit after our daughter was born. Watching the golden hues of the sunset reflect over the calm waters while experiencing it through her curious eyes made it all the more magical. On our way back, we stopped at Tharavadu toddy shop for dinner, where the food turned out to be even better than what we had at the Niraamaya Retreats Backwaters and beyond, Kumarakom. The next morning, we made the most of our private pool, a perfect way to start our final day before checkout. The staff were courteous, and while the restaurant food was just average (a common experience for someone from Kozhikode!), the beautiful ambiance and the luxury of the private pool made up for it. The pricing was on the higher side, but the overall experience was well worth it. It was a brief yet much-needed getaway, blending relaxation, local Kottayam food, and scenic beauty—just what we needed!

Had to book this stay purely to write this review as i cannot write a review without staying in a Niraamaya Retreats Backwaters and beyond, Kumarakom through mm t booking. I am a doctor and was due in kumarakom for 26 and 27 jean for a talk in kerala orthopedic meeting. Had paid the money (rs 33706) in advance. But when my wife and i reached here i was told the Niraamaya Retreats Backwaters and beyond, Kumarakom, niramaya, didn’t know anything about the booking. Shocked! the Niraamaya Retreats Backwaters and beyond, Kumarakom and mm t kept blaming each other and i finally didn’t have a place to stay in kumarakom. The mm t couldn’t offer an equivalent Niraamaya Retreats Backwaters and beyond, Kumarakom that night in kumarakom as it was all booked up. Had to return home in ernakulam 2 hours away. I booked this Niraamaya Retreats Backwaters and beyond, Kumarakom through mm t again next day day as this was the only way i could write this review. Their agent next day called up to say trying to make it sound it was my fault for not choosing the substandard house boat they suggested instead of a five star accommodation as originally planned. I will not be using mm t services anymore with this experience. The mm t have not paid me back nor have they replied to my email so far.

Best place in whole kerala. Must visit. Excellent Niraamaya Retreats Backwaters and beyond, Kumarakom staff. Helped us in all possible ways. Very cooperative staff. Loved it. Most important - the Niraamaya Retreats Backwaters and beyond, Kumarakom property was very very clean. It was our honeymoon they made every possible way to make it better for us. Just loved their hospitality.

Had a very good comfortable stay at niraamaya. Many activities including kite flying, swan feeding, fish feeding and yoga. Staff was also very friendly. However, food options are not upto the mark in buffet and has to be improved. Over all stay experience is very good.

Excellent pool villa. Extremely polite and warm staff. Every single person there was a joy to be around. They took care of every single request we had. Pool villa was excellent. Food was excellent. My family enjoyed the time here.

We chose to stay in Niramaya for a night from our way from Munnar to kovalam . It has a serene environment with lush green areas and beautiful comfortable cottages . Satisfied with their services 👍🏻

This property is value for money to have a complete relax on the side of backwater. It is the best property in kumarakom area.

The resort and service was really good and the staffs of the whole resort is very friendly. The location of the resort is very good facing the lake.
