Nubra Ecolodge is a beautiful property located in Sumur village, away from the touristy hustle-bustle of Hunder. The property offers breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains and sand dunes. The staff is friendly and courteous, and the food is delicious, made from organic vegetables grown in their own garden. The rooms are spacious and clean, with wooden floors and balconies. However, the property is located far from major tourist attractions, and the electricity is available only for a few hours in the evening. Overall, it's a great place to stay for nature lovers seeking peace and quiet.

An awesome stay in the middle of nowhere
Soumya Chatterjee
If camping in the middle of nowhere is what you want, that is what you will get. It's a quaint little place in the middle of the desert, you will be hard pressed to find anything nearby Coming to the facilities themselves, it's a brilliant place with their own gardens for veggies that they serve for meals. Cottages are very well equipped with wooden floor, large enough room with changing spaces, tables and closets. There is running hot and cold water in the bathroom. The porch outside contains chairs to sit back and enjoy the desert with the snow capped mountains as the backdrop The service is very well, with the entire staff looking to ensure you have a great time. Food options are very limited, as would be expected from somewhere this distant from civilization. But go for the multi-course set meals they provide, they really go all out to ensure you have a great meal. You get electricity only from 7 PM to 11 PM. Make the most use of the provided electric room heater during this time. There is no cellular network coverage for anything other than bsnl, and even bsnl is spotty. When there is electricity, there is wi-fi around the dining areas, but service is very sporadic. So, be prepared to disconnect from the rest of the world while you are there. And in today's world, that's a good thing.
Excellent hospitality
Sandeep Kothapalli
Excellent hospitality, right from the start. Mr. Khan there was especially accommodating of all our requests. The highlight though was the sumptuous Dinner that was served with vegetables that are grown organically in their own farms. They also sponsor a cultural program showcasing local Ladakhi traditions. Quite a spectacle I must say. We stayed in a cottage that was warm with cosy beds. The location of it was all the more fantastic, right in the midst of Nubra's serene hills and sand dunes. A serene view of the Moon rising above the hills was directly visible from the cottage and made our stay that much more romantic. The approach road to Nubra Ecolodge is also quite smooth with visible directional boards at important junctures. Don't be fooled by the grassy rooftop thatches on the resort's buildings as they are placed there to keep the ambient cool. The staff was also quite helpful and answered all our queries quite patiently. We had trouble finalising our itinerary thereafter. That's where the staff and their valuable insights on the local places to visit came in handy for us. Overall, had a great stay at Nubra Ecolodge and the awesome experience was accentuated with the rustic feel and ambience the resort has.
Super awesome view from open terrace, freshly made veggies from their own garden, fabulous hospitality

Just wanted to share an experience here. The second day at Nubra, we had a very eventful day as we had many things to do and many places to visit that day, so we need to start off in the morning as early as possible. They provided us the breakfast on time and we started off. But we just forgot to inform them that we will be having our dinner at their Ecolodge that night. That night we came back almost at 10 pm at the night. We had already predetermined in our mind that we won't get any food for dinner as first of all we were too much late, dinner time was over, also we hadn't informed them about our dinner in the morning. But surprisingly our experience that night was overwhelming. They just asked us what do we want to eat, they will make at that late night for us. We had a delicious dinner that night. And at the end, the manger Nurboo bhaiyaa offered us a special sweet dish "Shahi Tukra" from his end. Their hospitality was fantastic. I not only wish, definitely I will visit this place again in near future. Best place to stay at Nubra valley. Recommended from the bottom of my heart. If you plan to visit Nubra valley, stay here.
Excellent location and caring staff
RAJAN GOPARAJU
The Nubra Ecolodge is slightly away from the busy hub of Nubra Ecolodges. It is for people who want to be close to Nature. The Nubra Ecolodge provides basic services but with an excellent and helping staff, we did not miss anything. The WiFi network signal is weak in the room but excellent in the dining hall. The staff helped us with some calls on their phone. Proper electricity is for 3 hrs only in the evening but the Nubra Ecolodge has a good solar back up. So no issues in charging phones or internal room lighting etc. A TV is in the common room if one wants to watch something. The backside of the Nubra Ecolodge, 20 min walk, has sand dunes and a beautiful view of the mountains and Shyok river the major USP of this Nubra Ecolodge. Food is very good and the range is excellent. The staff serve with a personal touch, so you can order as per your choice they meet most of the requirements.
The location of this property makes it unmatchable

We went to this property in the first week of september, and the was simply windblown!! The staff is very courteous, Mr Gaurav, the manager did his best to carry out our demands on arrival. They grow every vegetable and fruit then and there only which is often plucked in front of your eyes and then cooked. Only rice and pulses are purchased from out side. Sand dunes are a 5 mins walking distance from the property and this makes this property even more desirable. Just one last important thing, go for cottages as your first preference or safari tents as your second, guest rooms are way too simple and overpriced once you reach there and look at the options. Overall, if the weather is right, you will have an wonderful and magical experience!!
If you are looking for a quiet place, this is
Jeevan Gathoo
If you are looking for a quiet place far from the maddening crowd then this is the perfect place. Best and the cleanest flush toilets in Ladakh. Organically grown vegetables garden in the property with a chance to eat freshly plucked turnips, carrots and vegetables. Vegetarian restaurant and dining facility, Local folk dance on demand. Close to Summer sand Dunes with a chance to ride the double camels. Very pleasant owner and owner's family comes to the property on weekends and holidays. Cows on the property for a fresh supply of milk and a chance to drink raw cow milk. Property can house twenty plus persons in cottages, tents and rooms. Sleeping dorm for your car driver and free food for your car driver.
Good place in the valley
N K LALL
Ideal location for a vacation. The safari tents are good in size and equipped with all basic amenities. Can sit in the verandah and enjoy nature view all around while enjoying a cup of tea. Service is good but you have to walk down the dinning room to ask for any thing that you may need. WiFi is also available only in the dining room. Could improve by installing intercom and wi fi connectivity in rooms and installing a fan in all the rooms. Food quality is good and they establish contact to check the food preference before you leave for the vacation. Very close to river and sand dunes. Overall a good & memorable experience to stay with them.
Good hospitality & clean property
Ravish Prabhakar
First and foremost, this Nubra Ecolodge is a concept Nubra Ecolodge and is wonderfully done with vegetation and farm fresh vegetables served for food. The rooms are spacious and the hospitality is good with friendly staff. MMT booking was a bit misleading as I booked looking at the photo of a cottage but in fact, I booked a room. Also, this place is in the Sumur Village, where not many tourists go, as most go to Hundar and Diskit. So, unless one is planning to specifically visiting Sumur, then this place is like a 30 km detour from the Diskit intersection. The property is clean, well-maintained and a good concept for other places in India.
It was four Star experience in Nubra Valley

Economically viable hotels
NARAYANAN RAJARAM
Nubra ecolodge has vegetables grown on-site and it is located in a beautiful place with good view of snow- laden mountains all around it. The food is of average quality. The electricity and hot water are available only at specific times
Hotel with best view in Nubra Valley
Kumar Govind Bailkeri
This Nubra Ecolodge was a very pleasant surprise. Breathtaking views of mountains and valleys. Organic food with vegetables plucked from the garden in front, very friendly and helpful staff. Room was spacious with one king bed, a single bed and balcony facing snow clad mountain and valleys. This is not located in tourists heavy Hunder but in Sumer Village. However, it was absolutely worth the stay.
Good stay
Sunil Jadhav
The location was excellent close to nature, near river, near sand dunes, very peaceful environment and very lovely and care taking staff. Food arrangements were excellent with good sitting ambiance, variety of good vegetables and homely food.
Fantastic experience!
ABHISHEK GOEL
Nubra valley as a place is magical, and a stay at nubra e co lodge is an icing on the cake. Not exaggerating, but the place stands out in terms of the huge balcony (1st floor) that faces the karakorum range. I went as a part of a group and booked 3 rooms on the 1st floor, thereby virtually getting unrestricted access to the entire balcony/sitting area. The food is another strong suit and the staff is the superb in terms of service, and politeness. The room size was good and cleanliness was ensured from management's end. This has to be "the" place to stay if you intend to stay in sumur.
Superb place for an organic experience
Abhinoy Mochari
We stayed for 2 nights during our stay in Ladakh and this place ladies and gentlemen is a superb place to stay at if you love the idea of a holiday in a village getting some first hand organic farming experience... Due to its remote location you may face electricity issues at night but the place and the starry sky makes it up to you for the electricity cut offs... Food is superb probably the best I had in Ladakh... They grow their own veggies and its completely organic. Overall a superb experience. I am definitely going to stay here during my next trip....
Close to nature a good property
Amit Shrivastava
Awesome place surrounded by hills on one side and sand dune next to it along the nubra river. A big plus. Room was quite comfortable though bathroom needs improvement and so does the taste of the food. Quantity was too large for us to finish all.
Top class hospitality and service
Sanket Desai
It was really wonderful to see the amount of attention to the customer needs and the friendliness of the staff as they were very accommodating to our needs and requests. Loved every bit of my stay and highly recommend them and their awesome lip smacking Indian food and Chole Bature 😊
Excellent View of the Nubra Valley from the room
Mainak Ghosh
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Quality of the food was great but it was all vegetarian. Lovely place to spend a night or two.
Only one thing irritated me was that there were bees which came into the room but left with sunset.
Great Location, rooms and food
Rohan
