An amazing stay, excellent location, peaceful, beautifully laid out , They don't just cater to the needs of their customers but also the environment. Beautiful trees and plants can be found on the property and you can always spot birds around yourself. Great location just makes it even better. Staff are really friendly and the food is good too.

This place was indeed very beautiful and mesmerizing but it was mentioned that we had to trek to reach there for about 1 km i suppose and with that we faced a lot of problem as i had an injury in my knee. Also there are no sign boards and no networks around the property it was very tough for us to find the property. But once u reach it gives an ultimate experience. Please mention about the trek so that anybody who has an issue should not book it.

Stay was amazing, excellent host, loved pahadi cuisine. Amid-st nature a perfect getaway from city for peaceful stay. Scenic sunset point, brahmsthali trekk camp bonfire were standout of all the activities.

The rooms were tastefully designed, with comfortable furnishings and modern amenities. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or simply a chance to unwind and recharge, it is a perfect destination. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staffs were always motivated to help us. The food was excellent, the chef ensured that our pallet needs were met. The stay's ambience was lovely & very serene. We look forward to coming back.

It was a terrible place. I didn't know that we need to track to reach the place and track was very dangerous. I stayed only for 1 day so help me in returning my one day terrif. They mentioned that there are lot of outdoor sports etc but there 3- 4 dogs which didn't even allowed my kid to come out from the room and play. We all were scared as the place was in jungle and nothing near even doctor if required. Lot of bugs and even cockroaches on the bed while sleeping. This was such a terrible stay at that property.

My wife and i had an amazing experience at this property. The short 150-meter hike infused our adventure with excitement, and upon arrival, we were captivated by the breathtaking mountain vistas. Priyanka and vaibhav, our hosts, ensured our comfort and went above and beyond to make our stay successful. We indulged in delicious authentic cuisine, enjoyed a sunset hike, and delighted in bird watching. With so much to explore, one day simply isn't enough to fully appreciate the beauty of this property; plan for a 2-3 day stay to truly soak it all in.

Once upon a forest stay was not at all as comfortable as i expected. The amenities mentioned inclusion of bonfire but the caretaker asked us to pay 400 if bonfire was required. It would be better if mentioned in the rules and policies itself. The pictures shown are quite deceiving. The setup inside the room was not acceptable. Though it was jungle theme but still at least one proper light should be provided. The service was poor as we asked them to provide chairs for sitting in the open area but they were quite reluctant in providing the sitting arrangement. We had to ask at least 5 times for the arrangement. The rooms and bathrooms were very smelly and they didn't even provide towels or anything. The toilet seat was like shaking no proper maintenance and even the one lamp light adding to the aura of their so called "jungle theme' was not working. Overall we had a terrible experience at the homestay and i won't suggest anyone to go there and spoil their wonderful experience of pangot.

The location is not good for kids and old ones. Rooms are okay with minimum facilities available there but maintenance of the room is not good. Spiders and snails are inside rooms. Food was very good and the staff was humble. Internet connectivity was also poor. Overall a bad stay.

I visited this property in jun e 2023 and it turned out to be a perfect gateway to nature. The following are the details. 1- it is a place far away from the crowd and if you want to just enjoy the nature and relax, this place is a perfect get away. 2- ankit and his staff were amazing host and ensure everything is in place when we arrive. 3- food was amazing at their restaurant. All veg and non veg options are available. 4- you get a beautiful view of the sunrise direct from the room. 5- there is a sunset point at the back of the cottage. 6- the staff is very friendly and professional and is at your service on 1 call. Keep the following points in mind when you plan your trip. 1- book the cottage in advanced don't go unplanned without booking as they might be fully booked. 2- this place is away from the city so keep essentials with you like generic medicines, children essentials like diapers etc with you. 3- there is no market around atall. There nearest market is 5 kms away. So keep the with you. 3- but your boose, cigarette etc from. The nearest city. If i say in 1 sentence you feel more energetic, refreshing when you live here. A highly recommended place to visit.

very scenic and beautiful place. gem of a place far from hustle bustle of a city. enjoyed chai pakodas while seeing sunset such an wonderful experience. treat for eyes to watch snowpeaking himalayan range from the cottage. enjoyed every bit of stay. very courteous and polite staff. food was great. barbeue bonfire 🔥 every thing was nice. overall a wonderful stay.

We stayed at property for about 3 days and enjoyed a lot. Best in class Hospitality and and the view from garden was mesmerizing ❤️. Also New year celebration was epic and the owner himself partied with us and the cold weather and awesome view was cherry on top. We had so much fun and this was once in a lifetime kinda feeling that we had in Once upon a forest.

One of my most memorable stays in Nainital or rather I'd say unexpected. My decision to book this hotel was very random i.e Wanted to stay somewhere close to Pangot. I was expecting a regular resort in a hill with a hyped up name. I was so wrong. True to its name, the property gives you staying in a forest feel. The warm reception by the host /owner was very sweet. He personally helped us check in and made sure we are comfortable and everything is in place. Briefed us about the property and nearby places to visit. The views of this place are to die for and the peace and tranquility that you experience in this place is unmatchable. The ambience of the cottage takes you back in time and you feel cut off with the chaos of everyday life. Another thing I'd like to point out which I was least expecting was the quality of food. Places like these have the most unpalatable food served as their priorities are elsewhere and no one complains about it. But my god, the dinner was delicious. I don't know if it was the view or the clean air, I ate literally twice of what I'd usually consume. I am coming back soon and with a group this time 😁

Beautiful location, 800mtr difficult track, no tap water for most of time. Good staff and food. Rooms are just ok. Give a good village feeling

The location was very nice and peaceful. The staffs were really very helpful and humble. Their hospitality, services everything was very nice only the water facility was not up to the mark. Otherwise, it was A really nice stay.

The location was very good. The property was neat and clean and safe. However, facilities were not up to the mark. They did not provide hot water. Water was not available in the bathroom also. I would not recommend this to others.
