PAHALGAM FOREST RESORT

Good resort loved it, but for the service a bit expensive. The view and infrastructure was good like very good, just the service was a bit poor.

The stay was excellent and the food offered was also excellent. we were given an upgrade to suit on our 1st day in the hotel. Other rooms are small in size but very neat and tidy. Hospitality was excellent. we were provided with umbrellas on the rainy day for visiting the nearby river side. The river flowing through the resort was so ...beutiful

The hotel is nestled in a lush green forest, yet still close to the main road, making it both peaceful and accessible. Just about 100 meters away, there’s a lovely river—perfect for a quick escape into nature if you’re feeling bored. The view from the room was stunning. The property is newly built, and the room was well-designed and clean. Staff were polite and helpful, although response times could definitely improve. However, a few issues affected the stay. There was a foul smell coming from the bathroom, which was unpleasant. Also, the curtains were too light and let in a lot of light at night from the kitchen, garden, and entrance areas. Even after switching off the room lights and drawing the curtains, it felt bright inside. I had to complain, but understandably, the staff couldn’t do much. Dark, blackout curtains are definitely needed. The biggest disappointment was the food. While breakfast had options, the taste was below average. One day they even served Maggi—odd and unappealing for breakfast. The sambhar tasted spoiled and was repeated for two days. For dessert, we were given a dry piece of cake that felt like it had just been placed on top of bread. Most meals were limited to basic items like bread-butter, bland chana dal (mislabeled as dal fry), and tawa rotis that were so hard they felt like papads. In summary, the natural setting and views are the highlights of this place. With better food, improved service speed, and small fixes like bathroom maintenance and proper curtains, this hotel could really stand out.

Good: + Excellent room ambience/ views of the solarium. Two walls are fully made of glass and overlook the snowcovered hills. + Great hospitality, it's a small boutique hotel and people are great to talk to and helpful. + Great views, just mind numbing. I found the views to be better than visiting the crowded aru valley. The river behind and the forest across it are just magical, plus the horses/sheep roaming freely, the access to betaab valley are a great plus. + Great food, good clean food. Not a lot of kashmiri food, but easy to eat. No stomach issues for a bunch of sensitive people like us. Not so much + Heating is an issue. It supposedly gets shut down sometimes, leaving us in the cold. Had to go down at 3 in the morning to have them turn it on. Same is the case with hot water.

I booked a room in pahalgam forest resort. the resort is quite small rooms. but the problem was of privacy. they had full glass bathrooms from both the sides which are not properly covered by blinds and the room was above the dining area from where is had 10s of flies in my room. i didnt knew what can be done . the staff was good so they changed the room. but the problem was there too. the food place had soo many flies and it was untidy. we had to change our plate multiple times due to the flies swimming in our food. the food was not upto the mark. it is a Boutique resort so it very small and no privacy which is a big problem if you are coming as a couple. its a new hotel so i wouldnt recommend it as of now but in future there is an opportunity to work on these things.

Property location is very good and forest view amazing this is new property very clean

toilet was extremely smelly with smell from gutter. there was no exhaust in toilet. staff was too friendly . they tried to do their best but as it was design fault in room 1002 so they were helpless. air conditioning setting was on hot . during the night could not sleep , woke up 10 times to switch on and off the ac. some fault. they did not change the room as we had taken premium room. property is new and clean but do not take room 1002. kids were in classic room where everything was nice

We had a wonderful stay at Pahalgam Forest Resort! From the moment I arrived, the experience was exceptional. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making sure all our needs ! The room was spotless and well-maintained, with a beautiful view ! The interior was fab! Must visit 😊
