Pappy's Nest Resort

We stayed in Pappy's nest for 5 days with 3 year old kid. Location: It is bit far from all the tourist spots of Wayanad. You need to drive 45-60 mins for most of the spots. However, it is calm quiet place away from the city. You can actually sit and relax watching greenery. Approach road is narrow, but very much drive-able. A small town is couple of kms away for any urgent needs. Service: Very friendly staff, they try their level best to address your requirements. We had asked for some custom food options which they could provide. Payment was accepted only through which was bit surprising given whole of Kerala is educated and should know the benefits of digitization. I suspect it may have to do with avoiding taxes. There was no formal invoice as well, even though they collected GST. Room: The cottage we stayed was simple and neat with A/C, cable TV and bathroom. There is no WiFi in the room, available only near offsetting area. You can catch some signal outside the room. Food: Food sections leaves much room to improvement. While phulkas and couple paneer items we ordered were very good, rest of them very pretty average. The mix of options in breakfast and lunch buffets are not well thought. It would be good to have a north indian, a south indian, and a local cuisine rather than going all local one day and all south indian on another day. Activities: There is small child play area, a pond where you can do boating, a bench and a swing where you can sit and watch the nature, few duck, an arecanut farm with small walk trail to the pond. You can also play badminton and some indoor games. Overall, we enjoyed the stay. Our expectations were low, and this place matched them.

Place is located in mid of nature with a pond, of-course you can't swim in that as they mention on their site (did saw some snakes, would assume them harmless but it still sends a shiver down the spine .. By the way, boating and fishing are good so you want miss swimming. Food is bad so please arrange it in advance since outside the resort as well you would need a bit to travelling to get some decent food. Lots of open area and my kids really have a field time, Rooms and beds are too simple, could be made better. Overall I was happy with the stay, review is for future improvisations others to decide what they want to do and thanks for that.

Location: Far from most of the tourist attractions but once you enter resort atmosphere and ambience is good. . Service: food options limited but taste and quality OK. Cost: quite high compared to other resorts in Kalpetta. Communication: jio, airtel, idea works. WiFi available only at lobby Rooms: clean and well maintained but as resort is in Forest small insects are there. 24/7 hot water available This is near to Sulthan bathhery if your travelling from Mysore better take bandipur forest route.

Travelled with friends and enjoyed every bit of this trip and the stay at Pappy's nest resort. Its completely worthwhile experience close to nature with Palm Trees and hands on service staff to take care of your requests. There is small pond with boating available with no cost thats amazing and you can get shelter in a tree house to experience true jungle living. Rooms are quite spacious and comfortable. Special thanks to The manager Akhil and staff to make this trip a truly lively experience.

The location of the resort is great. It is spread on 15acres of land with coffee plantations. They have a pond at the back of the resort where people can choose to boat. We stayed in the cottage which was an average room compared to the money for a night. Facilities were nothing in the room though the service was great. The staff there are very cooperative and nice. The surroundings within the nature is great to experience. The food was great. Overall a great stay within the lap of nature.

It's a small resort, clean and neat. Good part is that it's away from chaos of the city. We could hear birds singing in the early morning, very pleasing. Food was OK, not much variety in the breakfast. The road leading to resort is 650 m away from the main road and very much narrow!! Pappy's is 15 km away from Sulthan Bathery. If you are planning to visit, make sure you plan your time accordingly as it takes 25-30 mins from city - Bathery and no other sightseeing in this way.

Quite satisfied. More than the Money's Worth. Clean rooms, warm and excellent service, awesome view. Serene and tranquil atmosphere. Twenty four hours hot water, adequate wardrobes, efficient cleaning of the rooms, clean toilet, hot water for drinking, indoor games, Badminton court, Trekking facility, camp fire, Participatory cooking by Guests makes stay memorable. Warmth of staff commendable. However food quality is just average. Needs improvement.

Spent two days at Pappys nest last week with my family - it was a very relaxing experience with a very hospitable staff at a very convenient location. Being within 5 mins drive from nearest village kinichiri and in between a small well maintained coffee estate it was perfect for a relaxing trip we had in mind. The best thing about this place is the very friendly and helpful hosts Akeel and Akeel Would definitely recommend it to my friends.

It was a Good Stay. Place was far away from town. Facilities like boating were awesome. Food was very much okay and was not value for money. Altogether awesome stay. Support staff was also friendly and ready to help anytime.

I will refer everyone who wants to stay in piece and everything is good. Staff is very good. You can enjoy other activities like boating. Resort is surrounded by hill from all sides. You can feel real nature.

Location is great, natural scenery, relaxing environment, service of staff is excellent. Not much variety in food somewhat difficult for vegetarians. But they still provided us very good breakfast. In dinner they do not take separate orders but it is buffet, which is 300 Rs per person, even if you eat less you have to pay 300, which is costly.

Very comfortable place. Will recommend to my friends.

We took the sin gal bedroom deluxe room and found it just right. The place calm and quiet; Rooms are clean and bright. There is even a little lake (man made) where you can have some fun on the boats. The service is good. Can't say the food was fantastic. But I am not complaining. Akhil and his team run the place efficiently.

Excellent location coupled with good service .. Food served is kind of average ... But the beautiful location makes up for it ... The man made lake is wonderful ... You can go pedal boating ... Looking forward to visiting again ...

The cottage stay was superb- with greenery all around. Staff was very polite, very helpful. Two of their staff member especially, Akhil and Nikhil were particularly very welcoming. They could have improved the food quality though-a suggestion. It was wonderful stay we had here- would like to go there again

It's close to nature and very private and cozy. Makes you feel at home. Hospitality was very good. It has private boating in small man made pond. Surrounded entirely by coffee plantations and pepper trees. Along with few ducks goose and hens. Food was made according to our taste and preferences. Go for it. Very good.

Has a very beautiful and peaceful location, interior. Has its own small pond with boating options. Can accommodate groups, overall we loved the place.
