Paradise Resort

Resort is situated in new nazareth road. Approximately 15 km from Kottayam. The reception was very good. There are 12 rooms in two rows of six each. The room was very clean and tidy. All were ready when checked in. Free WiFi was there. Room service was very good. Immediate response. An enchanting view of the vembanad lake. Swimming pool was also good. They ask your menu before hand so that you don't wait in restaurant. They inform you once it is ready. Quality of food was very good although the price was high. Still worthy to pay for it. They arranged for transportation and sightseeing. Boat house is available on hourly basis but costly. Very courteous staff. Drawbacks and suggestions. 1. Signboards required at Kumarakom entrance and road entrance for directions. 2. Renovation needed like white wash and door paintings. Looks a bit old. 3. Only Malayalam channels on dth. Since there are not much tourist attractions near by much of the time is spent at room. We got a bit bored. 4. High food prices. Still I will go with 5 stars for the tidiness and ambience since that's what is required at a resort stay.

I went to Kumarakom for 2 nights and 3 days to celebrate my Husband’s birthday.We were welcomed by Aadarsh an receptionist over there and they served us with cool welcome drink.The staff is very friendly and we happened to meet one of their owners too. Aadarsh was kind enough to book a auto ride for us as we wished to explore nearby market area and he also suggested good shops as well. The resort arranged backwater ride for us and it was indeed splendid. Food spread is good and quality is amazing too. Resorts architecture is done beautifully. We loved our independent heritage cottage which was spacious and beautiful. An infinity swimming pool was a cherry on a cake. Last but not the least the Paradise Resort staff also arranged a cab back to airport for us as Ola and Uber rides are not available in that area.

Paradise is a great pick if you wish to stay out of all life clutters and just relax! It is situated besides the Vembanad lake and you can spend all time looking at the lake and the house boats floating on it. The cottage I booked was spacious enough and was maintained well. The staff were happy to help and had pleasing personalities. Resort has a good pool overlooking the lake and play area for kids. The restaurant was good with it's food quality and service. I felt that the prices were bit on a higher side comparing the food quantity. One downside of most of the resorts in Kumarakom may be the lack of local exploration options. I felt the same with Paradise too. But for a weekend family getaway with budget wallet, I feel that Paradise is a great choice.

We are glad that we selected this resort for our stay in Kumarakom. Location of resort is perfect. Its close to well known resorts like Zuri, Aveda and Blackwater Ripples. This resort thought smaller in size was perfect for one day stay. Rooms are big and clean despite of water and greenery all around. We stayed for one night and there were no mosquitos, insects or lizards as claimed by other guests in their review. Pool is awesome and well maintained. Restaurant is good and we really liked the food here. Only negative part was that their houseboats block the magnificent view of the lake and sunset. I will suggest them to make garden area more clean. Pool chairs need overhauling. Overall its value for money ...

We stayed at Paradise Resort for 3 nights in end-July, which was off-season time. We were very satisfied with all the services during the stay - the cottage was in good condition, Paradise Resort management was very courteous and accommodating, food was excellent and other amenities like swimming pool, badminton etc. could be enjoyed despite occupancy being only 10-30% (as it was offseason time). This resort is a great 'value for money' and I would like to go back there again. The only regret I have is that we did not stay overnight in their houseboat - we did a 4-hour cruise in the day (at good discounted rate) which we loved, so next time we will also stay overnight in the houseboat!

Nice Property with sincere efforts for continuous maintenance. Privacy is the main advantage at this Resort. Managers and Support staff, Front Office are professional and helpful enough. Service and Restaurant are neat and up to the mark. Only suggestion to the authority is to be careful so that the wide and open view to the Venbanad Lake in front of the pool is never hindered due to any unwanted reason, because this is the most effective and prime attraction of this Resort. Breakfast served had varieties and of good quality too. I would recommend this resort for a pleasant and leisurely stay along with family and friends. Thanks to the Authority.

Beautifully located Paradise Resort on the lakeside, with stay in individual traditional bungalows, all with lake view from veranda. The resort has a beautiful and very clean 'infinity' pool right by the lakeside with a pleasant sitting area. Room service is very prompt and food good. However my room lacked any information whatsoever about numbers to dial for room service, etc and information on services available. Also, we had booked a meal plan but no one explained this involved eating from a set menu, despite our asking at the time. The manager quickly corercted this to the Paradise Resort's loss however.

Recommended for the people who are looking for a good experience in kumarakom. We had a nice stay. Pool and the whole area is also good. Staff behaviour is good. Property is big and well maintained. They need to improve food quality. Limited breakfast option. Suggestion: they need to keep the restaurant operational at least till 3 pm because the check in time is 2pm and the area is remote with no restaurant nearby or some pure order help communication should be there between guests and reception staff. Overall it was a nice experience.

Good hospitality and food also good

We visited this place in the last week of November 2019 with a family of four. We booked two rooms. Check-in happened very quickly. Both cottage rooms were very neat and clean with comfortable beds. Restaurant serves good yummy food, however, felt they increase vegetarian dishes. Pool is really nice and clean. Resort is next to the Vembanad lake. Hotel arranged houseboat ride for 3 hours. We really had a great time. Overall it's a wonderful place.

The resort is very nice and cozy. The view of the lake is awesome. The atmosphere, the pool, play area, food of the restaurant was fantastic. The spa is very good. It's really a very beautiful place. I will be get there once again.

Well maintained with good staff

I came down for a business meet and stayed here for a day. Beautiful and peaceful place, sunset at Shikara, Ayurvedic massage, prompt service, disciplined and helpful staffs, tasty food. These are just a few words and my personal experience in the property. Do visit them to get a pleasurable stay.

Hospitality at its peak, but need to improve the standards of the pool as water condition was not so good

It's for family. Nice swimming pool for kids to enjoy. Clean rooms.

The stay was good and service excellent

Good Paradise Resort. Only negative was that they were reluctant to give food on a la chart basis. They were saying they have arranged buffet and we should choose from it.

It was nice experience. The staff is hardworking and the place is beautiful. It's value for money. You get to get relaxed at such a wonderful place. Nice family time. Though amenities are less but still good to go place.
