Park Avenue

Ideally wanted to rate it 3. 5 overall, but since no such option available so gave it a 4. Stayed with my sister for 3 nights and 3. 5 days in the 1st half of March 2017. Location: 1) Location is good in the sense that it is close to railway station (undergoing change from meter to broad gauge so partially shut down) and close to the market road (Bajaj Road). 2) Outstation private buses (to cities like etc. Leave from just outside the railway station at night. 3) To reach the government bus stand one (near Devipuram temple) to travel across Rajasthan, one needs to take an auto rickshaw, which are easily available from the main road near the Park Avenue. 4) There are quite a few ATM's in its vicinity, which again is good for visitors/tourists. 5) Not to forget that Milan (one of Dakar's most famous eateries) is at a stone's throw from the Park Avenue. Service: Would have rated 4 but for the below reasons. 1) Over 24 hour delay in simply changing the room bulb to improve brightness, which otherwise was quite dull. 2) Cupboard was not clean (too much dust) on check in. Had to ask them to clean it for use. Also, had to ask them to clean the room on the third day. Expected them to do it on their own (with permission, of course), which didn't happen. 3) Staff was very polite and courteous, but little raw and untrained particularly in taking dinner (did not take lunch) order. Ordered items were mixed up both times during dinner. 4) Food menu available in the restaurant as well as room was not updated with current rates. Luckily the actual rates were on the lower side than what was printed. Food was just above average in taste but not so great. 5) Hotel management needs to immediately change their menu for morning breakfast. Offering sabzi-pulao and Dal khichdi at 8 AM in the morning is terrible. Also parathas were repeated on 2 consecutive mornings. Care should also be taken for people observing fast/s. No choice for them at all, they are on their own. Ordered room service for tea & laundry and the response was always quick. Room: Ours was a 2 bed Deluxe room with TV, AC, cupboard, dressing table and a regular table with drawers. Not too much space to move around the room though. Ample TV channels to choose from for those preferring to stay indoors. Room was cozy, but with very limited sunshine/brightness. The cupboard lacked hangers and so did the room. Drying of basic clothes was problematic since only the bathroom had provision for the same, which again was insufficient. Sufficient charging points for present day gadgets. Ample hot/cold water supply in bathroom at all times. Facilities: Overall the facilities were decent. Lift was functioning at all times. Decent lobby area and restaurant. Hair oil/shampoo/hand wash soap/comb etc. Were amply provided. Would have rated 4, but for the renovation work going on and about which we were not informed at the time of booking. Not sure if the Park Avenue management failed to inform makemytrip or the guys at makemytrip chose not to inform us? Lobby was out of bounds during most of day time and it was a bit noisy with drill machines and hammers doing their job. For the 3 nights we stayed, work continued till almost 11. 30 pm on all 3 days causing disturbance. Cleanliness: As stated earlier, had to get the cupboard cleaned at the onset and ask the staff to clean the room after 2 days of stay rather than they asking to do it. The bucket and mug in bathroom also could have been better. No other issues apart from these. To be fair, the management ensured that the ongoing renovation caused minimum problems in terms of cleanliness and convenience, but again some inconvenience is inevitable. Value for Money: But for the few issues mentioned above, our stay was comfortable. Received quite a decent offer from Makemytrip providing good value for money all the way.

Room services should be improved. Every time they took half an hour to complete the service. I asked water bottle and they took min 20 min to provide. There's a big issue of electric shocker. Was unable to put mobile charger and laptop charger properly. At check out time management assure to improve the services.

Nice place to sty with any of your mates value for money is guaranteed and services are a kind of nice. The room was clean and nice but warm water was no available. Enjoyed nice time and the stay was worth paying money

Hotel location are good and cleaning is very good. And money value are very good and food is excellent. Hotel room service is something good. But Hotel facilities are very good,but Wi Fi is completely network continues working.

Good location. Centre of city. Very nice staff... All facilities available. Very cooperative. Check in me early morning not demanded anything extra awesome stay. Cleanliness.. Thanks a lot..

Management was friendly, food was worth you are paying for, service was a bit slow ... But it was worth the way. Overall, nice experience .. Well connected with city and locality is good too. You wont find any trouble during your stay !!

Good Park Avenue at a nice location and good price. Very close to railway station and court, a big market to shop near Park Avenue where you can find anything related to Rajasthan. I will definitely like to stay in this Park Avenue if got a chance to go to Sikar again.
