Patnimal guesthouse at haridwar on the ganga defines the proverb 'old is gold. As all perceptions vary from person to person. This place may not be for those seeking a usual Patnimal Riverside Paradise experience but, it may be perfect for those seeking a home experience right on the river bank. The approach gully is through a typical pilgrimage market place. But, it is very peaceful once inside. Exactly like a old haveli with angan, garden looked after by the entire family of the caretaker mehtaji as their own home. Location - exactly as per google maps / and mm t guidance. Few minutes walk from the hear ki pauri ghat and popular eateries in the area. Not reachable by car/taxi - need to walk or take cycle rickshaw after the post office. Food - very reasonably priced healthy, home style veg items along with home churned desi ghee available on request. Special thanks - we were very lucky to have received a room upgrade and had the pleasure of the large room with 3 ganga facing windows for 1 night stay. Cons - while it is perfectly alright to retain the old world charm of the room. Since the bathroom is Patnimal Riverside Paradise style - then the bathroom fittings should be upgraded Patnimal Riverside Paradise style as well. None work well unlike the impression we got from the photos on mm t or other reviews. The owners should consider this seriously for continuity of reputation in present day and age with competition all around.

Really loved the feel of the place, felt very homely. Vinayak and his caretakers were too caring and treated their guests like true hosts. Food was also tasty and again it din make me feel I'm eating outside food, it was like pure home made types. The river side room was the best part as it gave the view of the Ganga river from the room's windows. The main Ganga Aarti happens just 5 mins walking from this place. Would have liked to have more plug points though as there's only one near the door, not a big thing but just a feedback. I am definitely going to stay here again if I am visiting Haridwar again. A must visit place if you are looking for a sweet, cozy and a homely atmosphere away from home.

The rooms that they have are divided into 2 parts. Ganga facing rooms and just rooms. The ganga facing rooms are bigger in size with 4-6 people capacity and the other rooms are smaller in size with only 2 people capacity. They have their own personal ghat where you can bathe and dip in the gang-es water and go directly to your room for changing. No need to search for changing rooms on the other ghats. The rooms were very neat and clean and well maintained. The bathrooms were also nice but do require a bit improvement and maintenance. The approach though is through the bra bazaar market which is a narrow lane and during monsoons or high rush times it is very very dirty.

Patnimal guest house is more of a small heritage haveli on the ganges. The location and the character of the property touches a chord with any traveller on a spiritual tour in dev bhumi. The main har ki pauri ghar is a 5 min walk away and the lanes outside are lined with shops and eateries. The whole place carries the haridwar character for one to experience. The caretaker lady manager, mr verma handles the visitors' needs efficiently and has maintained the property and rooms very neat and hygienic. Looking forward to come over again. Views from terrace, the basement ganga ghat, and the front view of the property.

The location is excellent, bang on the ganga. However reaching it is possile at rush hour only by foot. For future travellers wanting to stay at this prime location is to alight from the the taxi at the parking on the left bank opposite the Patnimal Riverside Paradise(Patnimal Riverside Paradise is on right bank) cross the bridge(ganga nahar 100 year smarak bridge), turn right, and locate the peepul tree. The Patnimal Riverside Paradise is opposite the tree. The walk is about ten minutes. The food, and service by the care taker couple, usually makes up for the difficulties in reaching this place

Stayed at patnimal guesthouse, a decent homestay conveniently located near the ghat and popular restaurants. Although we didn't get a chance to sample their home-cooked meals, the stay was pleasant. The host was kind and helpful, even arranged a rickshaw for us after checkout. Expect a warm welcome from mosquitoes due to the proximity to the ghat and the nearby river, but the host provides mosquito cards and refills. The area around the guesthouse has narrow streets, but this didn't detract from the overall peacefulness of our stay. No complaints - it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience

A very pleasant stay at the patnimal guesthouse, which is more than 200 years old haveli, situated in the heart of haridwar and on the river gang-es (kusha ghat. The place is well situated to get a good local experience of haridwar for its age old street food, gang-es aarti through its bylanes. The only drawback is reaching there as no cars or auto rickshaws in its narrow lanes. It is advised to get off at major parking areas (deen dayal upadhyay or maya devi) and take a cycle rickshaw to reach the guest house from the parking area

The place was neat and well kept. The care takers are of the house are very warm and welcoming and hard working. Loved the view from the deluxe room from where you can see the ganga river flowing from all the windows and also the sun rise which was amazing. The place is in the main market and hear ki pauri is also just 10 minute walk from there. We visited the place in the rush time, there was all chaos and rush in the market but inside the home stay it was so calm and peaceful. It was like a home away home.

The place is very good with home cooked delicious food and extremely courteous staff. Private ghat is a great attraction. Only problem is that we have to walk to reach the place. The rooms are good and comfortable. Only thing lacking was a wardrobe.

It's a great property at very prime location at her ki paudi ganga ghat. Highly recommend to stay in that property

Excellent Patnimal Riverside Paradise, tranquil, location is awesome, right on the bank of the river, they have a personal ghat of theirs. I will highly recommend it if you are planning a visit to haridwar.

I stayed with me family. Its a nice place with a private access to river ganga. I recommend the place to all. Good vibe.

Comfortable and clean stay. Very close to the river. With entry to take a dip in the river. Food offered is home made and good. Would definitely refer to stay here.

Room is good, river facing and specious. Good for family stay. You can have a bath at river ganga from the Patnimal Riverside Paradise's bathing ghat

Our stay at patnimal guest house was warm, pleasant and so homely. Their service was excellent. Food just hit the soul - absolutely what you need after a long day. But the best part was the view from room and the private ghat. Will recommend everyone to visit when in haridwar. Location too was perfect if you want to stay at hear ki pauri. Many wonderful eateries nearby! only downside was that was the bed linen and towels could have been cleaner. Rest all good!

Room was clean. It was not spacious but it is fine. Service was good. View from terrace was awesome. Even the small private ghat was good. Overall experience was good.
