Peace Residency

If you are looking for a mid-level budget, yet a comfy stay in Pondicherry. This is it. (1) Location. This place is close to everything there. 15 minutes walk from bus station, 20 minutes walk from the beach, 30 minutes walk from white town. (2) Rooms are great. Always choose the balcony ones, there are spacious enough, very well ventilated, and a really good view. Plus you can chill in the balcony at nights. Washrooms are clean and tiled and glossy. Ac is really powerful. Lighting is subtle and luxurious. (3) Locale. Contrary to the reviews, I found the locale to exceptionally clean and safe. Surroundings are well-lit and safe for women, even at 11:30 in the night. There are eateries and convenience store at 3 minutes walking distance. (4) Service. Really great reception. Apart from the complimentary bottle of mineral water, these folks are nice and helpful. You just need to not be shy and ask for it. (5) Couple and booze friendly. Yes, you can be unmarried and yes, you can bring booze and smoke and drink in your room, no one will bat an eyelash. I didn't go for the breakfast option, cause there are lots of places you can eat out at. Overall, this place is great and would definitely recommend it.

We were a group of four and booked two different rooms. However to chat till late night we prefer to stay in a single room where we have two beds. The Peace Residency representative helped us switch to a two bedroom room which was sufficient for four adults to sleep comfortably with two toilets in it for the same price. This has made our stay memorable and enjoyable. Please note that the Peace Residency premises does not have a parking facility within the Peace Residency but at a location which is a few minutes away. Luckily there was a spot available on the road and we used it.

The room was cute and tiny. The behavior of staff was very good, they were so tourist friendly. They gave us the room before check in time it was available and didn't charge anything extra for it and after check out the kept our luggage for the whole day, so that we can roam around without any hassle. The cleanliness can be improved a bit. That's why given 4.

Stay was good. Soon when we reached we felt one of our room was not cleaned when we informed they had cleaned and given us. Security was good. Only this is if we would have got early check-in we would have not booked for 3 days as we needed early check-in we had booked for one extra day and we did check in by 6 clck morning

Hotel was really nice, I booked standard non ac room but they provided me with ac room. As renting scooter is common in Pondicherry, there is also safe scooter parking in front of Peace Residency. Staff is extremely cooperative, I forget my trolley number lock, Peace Residency boy help me to resolve that issue.

I had been on a business trip, found this Peace Residency through make my trip i found this would be suitable and gave a try which was worth it, location wise it is more in a commercial place rather than a cozy place, a simple and good place to stay for those who don't expect more

It was overall a nice stay, beds were big and comfortable and the location of Peace Residency was in main city and everything was near, but only service was not good the washrooms were not cleaned and room cleaning was done only once in 4 days.

My stay was fine. But the room I stayed was small the bathroom plus toilet was comparatively bigger. Room ventilation was not there so have to totally rely on the ac. Common kitchen gas charges was levied at checkout. Which was not expected.

The Peace Residency is located at the center of the City. The staff of the Peace Residency is really good and helpful.

Very close to central bus stand and clean place to stay

It was nice place to stay and very near to rock beach. Staff were very helpful and friendly. They helped us with finding bike rentals. After checked out they don’t have any problems to allow us to use common washrooms.

Location wise it’s very good.
