The peacock paying guest house has a great vibe because it is a family run business. The family are very friendly and willing to help with any support and info you need getting taxi or tuk tuk, info on attractions and how to get around the city. Their dining room has the most spectacular view of the lake and floating palace. You can spend hours just sitting and watching the view. And sunsets are incredible! the food is home cooked authentic indian food, very fresh and extremely tasty! be forewarned, like many peacock paying guest houses and home stays in the area there are many stairs to get up to the dining area but the view and the food are worth it. And hey we can all use the exercise, right?

awesome and a hidden gem in midst of all. best are views from room balconies and awesome restaurant where each and every dish is prepared in authentic homemade style with awesome taste. the owners put their every effort to make your stay as much comfortable as they can including attending your every needs. a must place to stay to watch sunset with whole lake view and awesome tasty dishes and sone chilled beers in balcony.

The location and view is really good, rooms are good and clean too but don’t recommend for aged people who has knee problem because of steep stairs. Overall very nice for any one who whats to enjoy view and also doesn’t want to go for well known brand always.

Ok, it was nice view of pichola j heel from the room. The food was home-made, tasty. Anyone like this room by single checking. But stairs were so high

My stay was good. Do not stay if - you are with a small kid as stairs are scary and you have to climb to 4th floor for best view. - you are into midnight or late-night parties outside as doors will be closed and they do not have any night facility or service.
