Periyar Nest Resort

This is one of my best stay... Very good service, support & comfort extended by the caretaker ( Mr. Rajeev ). The resort is little inside, but very close to bus stand. It is well maintained & pictures place. Rooms are well maintained ( Jungle view room ). The care taker Mr. Rajeev supported us very well in making the bookings guiding & explaining the correct places to visit. He even guided us to the Watch tower, Elephant ride & Green park spice plantation... It was so helpful. Green park is one of the best spice garden & we understood the importance of many spices.. The owner of the spice garden was very humble and explained to us in detail. One should visit this garden without fail... And understand the day today usages of the spices we grow in India ( Kitchen garden ). I recommend the travellers to stay in this resort... Budget & peaceful stay. Mr. Rajeev. Well done. Keep it up!

We stayed in deluxe, forest view room. Nice homely foodbeautiful interiorsvery spacious roomvibe is peacefuldon't expect facilities like phone in room, room service for food, pool, gym, a lot in breakfast buffet, etc. They claim that they make food after receiving order, which seems justified, since the food is tasty. The location of resort is pretty interior, but that's what is giving it a forest view from room. The parking seems limited, but cars and bikes can be parked if space is available. It was a pretty hospitable staff. It seemed they have good location and looks of the resort, both outside and inside, but adding more services within will make it a competitive resort. But then of course, the price will also shoot up.

As in Thekkady most of the stay is home stay so you can choose this Periyar Nest Resort. Pros:- Hotel rooms are good looking and well furnished. Outside view, breakfast and service is good. Cons:- They totally depend on solar system for hot water so problem occurs and 80% of the time no hot water ll be available although they provide 1 bucket of hot water per head in morning only. And Light was also cut off in the morning due to that Solar system only. No good facility for drivers.

Hotel stay was good. But approach road is narrow and a little away from main road. Parking space also limited. Not more than 3 cars can be parked simultaneously. Room and service were fine. WiFi signal strength was good. Travellers without own vehicle might find this place difficult to stay because of its location. They have rooms for drivers as well. 4 stars.

Location of the Periyar Nest Resort is near forest but the way to Periyar Nest Resort is very narrow for more than a KM. only one car can go through the way at a time. You will be in trouble if there is any car in opposite direction. Location is scenic but rooms are not clean. We found few cockroaches inside the room. Foods are tasty and room service is good.

Location is some 800 meter remote from Kumaly town, and the road is a narrow one, but the area is very calm. Parking area is small, and is an another compound. Nice ambiance. Rooms are very spacious, clean, facilities also good. Good service, food is not bad, but little bit costly, may be a Resort price. Overall the stay is good, and economical.

The Periyar Nest Resort staff is very helpful and provide excellent service, the food is very good, the ambiance is lovely, however the location is a bit remote. They are constructing new rooms with much better facilities and better view, hopefully this Periyar Nest Resort should be much better in a couple of months now.

Beautiful view from the rooms and quality of fixtures. People really take good care of customers. Although the approach to the resort is not so great. Had traveled with parents, relatives family from India and relatives family from London. Everyone loved the stay. Bedsheets, bathrooms etc were absolutely A grade.

Stay was satisfactory. The staff was well behaved and helpful. Breakfast was nice.

The overall look and ambience of the Periyar Nest Resort is good. Rooms are clean and spacious with nature in vicinity. The location is a bit inside into the main road but not an issue if you have a vehicle. Service staff is cooperative. Overall a good and peaceful stay.

It was a good experience in a whole but need cleanliness a bit for a superb stay. The facilities which they provide is also good and the rates are pocket friendly. For people going by family can go their and have a quality time spent.

We had a pleasant stay there and the food was very tasty. It would be better, if they maintain a high speed WiFi.

Excellent service location and very clean rooms and specially the toilets which was our aim concern even though stayed for just one night they upgraded our room for free and we are fully satisfied. Highly recommended

Very good accommodation facilities good food, unexpected food facility's it was very nice experience for stay and food, co-operative staff. For sure preferable to visit next time but costly in case of food in comparison to other restaurants and resorts.

Very nice stay, excellent service but narrow Road to approach the Resort is little bit difficult. But overall performance is excellent.
