PG On Ganges

Good location at temple city Varanasi, Near to Hanuman / Harichandra and other ghats. Please be noted most of the rooms available near Varanasi temple are simple units and not high end PG On Gangess. For temple visit you need a place to stay and not a 3 star PG On Ganges etc. Most of the rooms available around temple or that are PG only, but they do not want to use this on they display. For a no frills travels, it's OK. Rest left to you for decision. To reach airport depart 3 hours before, as 2 hours takes or travelling due to poor roads and road graduation works. For rail station you can leave 1 hour early even though it's very near travel of 20 mins. If you want to visit Gaya from here take a CAB or bus - Kumar travels which leaves night 11 PM - arrives Gaya Next day at 7 Am - leaves Gaya at 2 PM - Arrives Bodh Gaya at 3 PM - Time till 5 PM to visit bodhi temple - Leave Gaya at 5 PM arrives back at 11 PM at Varanasi Hanuman ghat. If you want to go to Allahabad triveni sangam - take a cab - leave early - a drive of 3 to 3. 5 hours - meet at shore - hair a Priest & boat to Triveni sangam point - complete ritual come back - carry a plastic bottle to collect - green yamana water and red ganges water at triveni sangam point from boat. Carry some food stuff to feed birds they surround you. As much you carry you will enjoy the ride. As per purana and details described to me by Chennai Bahamian - its best to do Pind Pradhan in Varanasi - followed by Gaya and followed by Allahabad Triveni sangam for salvation of all departed souls of your ancestors. Carry a sheet with all you with details Gothra and names of 3 Generations Husband & wife in 1. Father line, 2. Mother Line, 3. Your wife's father line, Your Wife's mother line, all your relatives, friends and all other. After father and mother line - There is a last pind which is reserved all other which I have detailed below. Let your visit be bliss full. The experience at the PG On Ganges and the service is good. Staff Monu Sahani is always available and helpful. Room is clean. Breakfast is included with my booking so I had my breakfast at the restaurant. Restaurant at the PG On Ganges is mediocre but the food prepared and served fresh. Hotel is near Jain ghat that is near Assi ghat. It is 15 mins walk on the ghats to reach Aarti and temple. Charges are low for PG on Ganges compared to others nearby. It is in Banaras gallis so one can easily confuse with address at first. Overall the PG On Ganges satisfied my requirements. I suggest to go with PG on Ganges.

Place is good, rooms are clean, behavior of staff is friendly and professional, only the street connecting it from main road was bit dirty but overall it was a nice stay at affordable price.

Staff is helpful and its a great place to stay infact secure as home, you will not regret for your money.

Room was good for 3 and the way to find it was a bit messier but the stay was pleasant.
