The property is located at a walking distance of periyar tiger reserve, the rooms and bathrooms were super spacious. The balcony had a forest view where animals could be seen grazing. The host was humble and his mother was no less than a superwoman. She single handedly did so many chores, from making breakfast for all the guests to helping us boil milk or address any query if the host wasn't available. Hats off to the host family to be available always. One can opt for a night jungle trail with a guide that starts late night post dinner and it is super convenient from the property as the reserve is so close.

Wow. Can't explain in a word. That was one of our best experience we had ever. Location is amazing. Hotel rooms were clean and superb. Toilets are vast and clean. Hot waters were really hot unlike other poor Jungle Palace | Rooms in a Homestay cheats us. It has huge french doors with amazing view of the forest. Morning birds crimping that i loved most there. The owner was friendly. He couldn't make tea because of no milk due to faulty fridge and even the owner felt bad about it which was very pleasing. Highly recommended. Please enjoy the stay.

Stayed with a family of 4 including elderly parents at jungle palace. The view from the room is awesome. Rajesh and his family were very warm and welcoming. His wife and mon ensured we had a comfortable stay. Enjoyed his mom's home made idli and dosa and the sambhar was very tasty. Rajesh also guided us on local site seeing and arranged for auto rickshaw and car. He was very helpful. Areas of improvement heater in rooms as it gets very cold at night, an electric kettle. These are provided in some of the other properties as well.

Its an excellent home stay, simple and nice, just carry your toiletries. Service was quick. Breakfast home made am a ke hath ka south indian k hand'. Carry some ready to eat if you don't want to eat lunch, dinner from market outside average restaurants. Just a pizza corner is nice but expensive. Balcony facing the jungle. Peaceful and comfortable stay. The owner was very polite and ready to assist. I suggest, he invests a little more to keep all sheets white. We had a great experience by staying in this place. The rooms are pretty big and very clean. Also the rooms ambience is of modern look and feel. The balcony view of forest gives you truly great experience. The morning breakfast was served with great taste. The owner and staffs are very humble with great hospitality. Near by you have good eateries. Also it's quite place but a kilo meter away from the Town. Don't Miss the Kalari shows near by. Also there are many travel services near by you can use it for local site seeing.

We were welcomed by Mr. Rajesh who was kind enough to accommodate us in 2 forest facing rooms with balcony for our families. Clean and spacious rooms with attached bath-toilet with all facilities. Very beautiful surroundings and peaceful ambiance was the highlight. Mornings were the most beautiful with just happy chirping birds and wild animals like bison, elephant grazing their routine breakfast. All in all a comfortable and lovely stay in the lap of Thekkady greenery.

Hotel was very nice and clean, room size was pretty big. Bathroom was also neat and clean. Hot water was available during morning time when we actually needed it, else rajesh will arrange hot water in bucket through out the rest of the day. Most attractive thing about the stay was the jungle view, really awesome. We can view the jungle from the balcony and enjoy its beauty and calmness. We felt like spending time in the lap of nature enjoying true natural beauty.

We got the jungle facing ro, which was quite exciting. The homestay is situated right beside the periyer tiger reserve boundary. The room was quite big along with a huge bathroom. Most of the attractions, restaurants and markets are located nearby. So, I would definitely recommend this to others. I must mention the host and his family as they were very soft spoken and attentive. Bonus: You get home cooked food for breakfast

Jungle palace is the best budget place to stay in thekkady. The family is very humble and the location is perfect right on the edge of jungle. We could spot deers and many birds just by sitting in our balcony

Absolute and wonderful homestay in the small town you will get. The most amazing part of the stay is the view. Jungle view that will win your heart. The rooms are spacious and the staffs are very supportive and helpful. The homestay is near the market area and very calm place.

We were not much optimistic about this stay, but it didn't let us down. Rooms are large, and very neat and clean. Five star for cleanliness. It may not give you 4 or 5 star feeling, but it is pleasant stay. Most impressive thing is the location. In the morning, you get to see jungle right in front of your eyes. We saw some wild boars and gaurs grazing in the night. Overall, a decent stay.

I was in thekkady for a day and this place is like a homestay and the host was really supportive and responsive. They don't provide food for the guests, so we had to dine outside. The wifi was also on a slower side. Otherwise the stay was a pleasant experience.

Room was neat and clean. The owner is kind and helpful. The balcony view is good. Worth for money.
