I had the idea to visit Thekkady with my family and, after browsing resorts, I settled on Poetree Resort based on the impressive photos online. Given the occasion, I wanted this trip to be unforgettable. The Drive to the Resort: The resort is just a short drive from town. The journey to the resort was thrilling, with steep roads that were in good condition. Arrival at the Resort: Upon arrival, we found ample parking. Mr. Suresh greeted us warmly at the entrance with a welcome drink and cold towels to refresh us after our long drive. The check-in process was swift and efficient thanks to the front office team, who were very welcoming. The Stay: We stayed in a mountain-view room with a balcony that offered astonishing views of both Tamil Nadu and Kerala's mountains. The room was spacious and comfortable. The resort's large terrace, known as the 360-degree view area, provided breathtaking views of sunrises and sunsets over the mountains. Every evening, complimentary tea and snacks were served. Activities: While the resort had play areas for both adults and children, I felt there could be more options specifically for kids. The infinity pool was a highlight, offering relaxation alongside stunning views of misty mountains. The pool area was well-maintained and clean. Dining Experience: The restaurant had a lovely ambiance with mountain views. The breakfast menu changed daily, and the lunch and dinner options were extensive, although there could have been more traditional Kerala dishes. The food quality and service were excellent. Overall Experience: The resort's lighting and ambiance were elegant, with palm leaf decorations adding a unique touch. The hospitality and customer service from the Poetree Resort team were outstanding—they truly made us feel at home. The resort offers various activities, and there's even a shop for swimming and general purchases. Special thanks to Mr. Suresh, who was quick and helpful with photography. Overall, our experience was a solid 9 / 10, and we look forward to returning.

We recently had a delightful stay at poetree thekkady and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The rooms were comfortable, spacious, and offered stunning views of the surrounding landscape, which added to the peaceful ambiance. Although we encountered some minor issues with the hot water, it was manageable and didn’t take away from our overall experience. The food was fantastic, and the restaurant services were impeccable. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast, and the variety and quality exceeded our expectations. One of the highlights was the evening bonfire and cultural dance program, which added a special touch to our stay. The Poetree Thekkady staff were exceptionally courteous, well-behaved, and always went out of their way to ensure our comfort. We stayed in a club room, which was well-maintained and offered all necessary amenities. The location of the Poetree Thekkady is ideal, being close to major attractions such as the periyar tiger reserve, elephant junction, and the kalaripayattu centre. Overall, poetree thekkady is a great place to unwind and explore the beauty of thekkady. We highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay.

It was really a pleasant & heart warming stay at poetree. Our booked room was mountain view and with excellent panoramic view. The room size was very spacious with Balcony that too very spacious. All the resort staffs were very decent & polite. There is games room with gym attached. We enjoyed playing T.T a lot. But gym equipments are not working except cycling. The food standard is good & enjoyed breakfast with sufficient varieties for mostly everyone. We specially remember the warm welcome at the restaurant every morning by miss swapnam & Mr. Peter giving homely feeling. Further not to miss visiting their terrace wherefrom a fantastic 360° panoramic view of mountains is breathtaking. One can sit & enjoy a beautiful view , can do meditation, walking , exercises etc.. The resort has clean swimming pool where one can swim, enjoy, relax. Overall it was a beautiful & serene experience.. There are hundreds of Poetree Thekkadys & resorts in down town kumily, but this one on middle of hill top with fantastic views is very different..👌👌

We stayed at poetree thekkady for 3n 4d. I had booked our stay here after checking out multiple resort options and based on the raving reviews on mmt. Views from the resort is definitely the biggest plus point and their 360 degree view point is mesmerising. However the road that leads to the resort is very steep and not well maintained. The property is also far from the main attractions. Food can definitely be much better both from spread and quality perspective. The menu is very limited for vegetarians and the food was served cold in most instances. The breakfast buffet was also below average. The rooms are spacious and the balcony is well placed. However the coffee mugs, water kettle etc were not clean and had to get replaced. The pool location is serene, but the resort allows people to wear normal clothes to the pool and also eat snacks etc in the pool which was a major turn off. The staff at the resort are a big plus who are very helpful and polite. Overall the stay experience was average and not extraordinary as expected.

The stay was awesome. The property was nature friendly and was in a picturesque location. Google maps and apple maps both works great to find the location. The food was delicious and services were top notch. They had an infinity pool with a breathtaking view of the valley. Also, the deluxe rooms had an amazing view of the valley from the balcony. It’s a great staycation to have relaxed family time and to have some memorable moments( especially if you like taking pictures. Good for 2 or 3 days of stay. And if you like to go to nearby tourist places for visit then you could spend some more time at the resort. The only bad thing i find was the road that leads to the resort from the main road. There is a steep hill to climb to reach the resort and the roads are having huge potholes which will make driving really hard( which is not the resorts issue that i know, it’s govt that should deal with it) so, overall i would give a 5 star rating for the property

Poetree Thekkady in one word is Outstanding !! The best luxurious Stay in kerala which won’t leave a hole in your pocket or heart !! Poetree gave us the most warmest welcome we ever got !! They have the best service and the food which they serve is indeed the most delicious among all - Chef sanal Kumar and team does a fantastic job ♥️ ! Everyone over there carries a smile everytime. We stayed in the hut which was so spacious and luxurious and had all the amenities and a pretty big infinity pool !! Super clean bathroom and kudos to the team for keeping the surroundings clean and tidy. We couldn’t experience the campfire bcs of bad weather.. We went in to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and they arranged us a candlelight dinner which ended up as one of the best memory for us !! They Provided a special cake as complimentary !! The best thing is it's perfect location as when you wake up in the morning them you will see panoramic views of mountains from rooms balcony which is mesmerizing refreshment and memory for me. Its resorts staff are very cooperative and positive vibes there whenever you roam around the property by seeing every smile face. Deepayan, jeet, suresh were very good to know that how to deal with the guests and the executive chef sanal kumar who was ready to make any special dish for you to make happy faces there. I enjoyed a lot their property and their awesome food with very good hospitality. I visited this property with my wife and a 4 year old kid and after experiencing this resort i highly recommend it to everyone

Our stay at portree thekkady was very nice. The staff were cordial and held the christmas spirits in high regard. Rooms were well maintained and property on the whole was beautiful and well kept. The only issue we faced was at the restaurant with relatively slow service and lot of confusion regarding provisions and food billing. This was conveyed to the property manager which was received with a lot of positivity and assurance to improve before time. On the whole we were very happy if it weren’t for this little aspect.

Me amid my friends stayed this month. We all likes that the places and programe also good especially dance was good. But dj time please extend 2 hours.

The ambience, the staffs, cleanliness, the food, everything was awesome. My son enjoyed the bonfire very much. We regret that we didn't have enough time to enjoy the property to the fullest. The only problem is the few meters of approach road. That was in very bad shape, and in the monsoon it will be muddy. Overall, it was a great experience, highly recommended.

Room : stayed in cottage with view of the plantation, which was comfortable for our family of 2 adults & 2 infants enjoyed dip in the infinity pool with scenic mountain view around. Spent the evening lively, watching the classic performance from the dancer roshna. She enthralled us with fusion of kuchipudi/bharatnatyam/mohini. Both breakfast & dinner buffet had a good spread of all cuisines. They could have added more kerala dishes

It is one of the best resort that i had booked yet. Super friendly staff, plenty of options for breakfast, awesome swimming pool, nice rooms and overall they have maintained such a nice environment. 5/5 for their service

We stayed 3 nights at the resort. We had senior citizens and infants in the group. The entire experience from checkin to checkout was smooth and the staff was very polite and helpful. Their small gestures and helpful tips enhanced the satisfaction. Thanks to all the staff and mgmt at poetree sarovar in making this a great vacation experience

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Right from check-in, they took care of us and ensured the maximum comfort. Location is amazing and 360 degree view is amazing.

Below average services > rooms were not ready event ho-ugh had informed that we will checking at 2:15. Had to wait half hour at lobby with luggage. >an extra table for birthday celebration at campfire site though requested 1. 5 hour before, was delayed. >laundry issues present on day1 overall rooms are good but services were below average.
