Our stay at thekkady couldn't have been complete without the excellent staff at poetree thekkady and the wonderful experience they provided. This resort is an epitome of indian values of family, community and enjoyment. The staff will go above and beyond to make you feel at home. We were indeed very lucky to have booked this place from new year's eve till jean 3. The stay started with a gala dinner organized by the resort management. There were shows performed by local groups including music and dance performances. We had drinks, starters and mains served and the staff too got involved in the celebrations. At the end near 12am, there were fireworks and dj music which all of us thoroughly enjoyed. The star of the show was suresh from the staff who danced his heart out and got all of us involved too. Next day we went for a boat ride in the periyar river followed by kathakali and kalari payattu performances which enthralled us. On our final day at the resort, we had cultural program followed by campfire. One special mention to the staff here for their amazing help. We had forgotten our bag near the campfire. But the staff made sure to collect it and give it back to us when we were frantically searching. All of our belongings were safe. The food at this place is unbelievable in its taste and the use of local produce shines through. Furthermore, the variety of the cuisine was mind-blowing right from breakfast till dinner. Overall, we can't thank poetree thekkady enough for their hospitality. I will highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit this part of kerala.

This Poetree Thekkady has a lot going for it, particularly its beautiful rooms, well-maintained property, and fantastic location. We were very pleased with the overall aesthetic and the convenience of the Poetree Thekkady's placement. However, there are some areas that need attention to truly elevate the guest experience. The food was unfortunately average. While adequate, the selection was limited and lacked variety. More importantly, it didn't showcase the authentic flavors of kerala cuisine, which was a disappointment. We were hoping for a more immersive culinary experience. While the Poetree Thekkady boasts a range of amenities, many were either unavailable or in poor condition. The pool, while inviting, lacked essential safety equipment. Furthermore, the limited number of sun shades (only one for six to eight benches) made it difficult to comfortably enjoy the poolside area. The basketball court was another letdown. The ring was damaged, and the basketball itself was deflated/punctured. Despite repeated requests for a replacement, no action was taken promptly, which was frustrating. Overall, this Poetree Thekkady has the potential to be truly exceptional. With improvements to the food quality and variety, and a focus on maintaining and providing the advertised amenities, it could easily become a top choice for travelers. The beautiful setting and comfortable rooms are a great foundation, but the other aspects need to catch up to match the initial impression.

We stayed in the poetree, thekkady for one night. It is an excellent property in the best location in thekkady. Our cottage was beautiful and surrounded by trees. The view from the balcony was excellent. There was no noise disturbance at all. The Poetree Thekkady staff were very professional. The restaurant food was excellent. The rooftop 360 degree view was excellent.

Pros: excellent location with breath taking views. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Cons: road to the property has a lot of potholes Poetree Thekkady employee sebin handles the activities and booking transportation. He charges 3x the actual price locals charge. Book your taxi and cabs through mountain adventure jeep safari. Will save you a lot of money.

The stay was nice. They had a variety of dishes for buffet breakfast and dinner. The staffs were very courteous. Overall lighting of the resort seems to be on the lower side. Especially on stairs and common areas. The room was clean and neat with good view.

Location is slightly isolated but other than that all things are exceptional including food, services, property etc. The things that stand out is Poetree Thekkady staff and services. They would go extra mile to make you feed greeted and welcomed.

Opt for wgh properties if you like clean and beautiful place to stay. Humble staff and gorgeous swimming pool.

The property is very well maintained and has 360° views of the mountains and plantations. Located near the major tourist places. The road leading to the Poetree Thekkady needs some repairs.
