Elephant Falls greeted us with its pristine beauty, boasting multiple bridges for the perfect photo opportunity amidst its clean and picturesque surroundings. The journey continued to the Secret Dense Forest, where only half the trek was accessible, yet it offered a glimpse into a world teeming with flora and fauna, leaving us in awe of nature's abundance. Venturing further, we discovered a quaint village, adorned with huts and showcasing the simplicity of rural life. The exploration led us to the caves, where the natural formations of limestone and vibrant orange hues left us mesmerized, a testament to the wonders sculpted by time and nature's artistry. The following morning, a hidden gem awaited us near Polo Resort – a small waterfall, seemingly reserved just for us. The refreshing swim in its pristine waters rejuvenated our spirits, a moment of bliss in the midst of untouched beauty. In the afternoon, a visit to Shora offered the opportunity to swim in the crystal-clear, emerald-blue river, where the riverbed could be seen with stunning clarity. The weather, with clouds drifting along the landscape, encapsulated the essence of Meghalaya – 'Megha' meaning cloud – a testament to its underrated yet breathtaking allure. Hotel is in upper sohra ( cherrapunji) in a peaceful area overlooking the lush valley and seven sister waterfalls location is super excellent. The climate over there was always very good with bits of sunshine, cloud cover all around and cool breeze at all times. Property is not huge but well laid out and easy access to all facilities and restaurant. The check in was quick and welcome drink was served. Decent lobby and reception area. Room was spacious, clean and well equipped. The Polo Orchid Resort has a swimming pool, excellent spa and small recreation area. Restaurant is spacious and comfortable. Good spread of breakfast buffet and live counters. Dinner we had a la carte. They have buffet dinner but not on all days. Food was good and with such a huge spread you will always find items suiting your taste buds. Special mention of ms. Banri at restaurant for her exceptional service. They have live music during dinner time which was entertaining. High tea with snacks and cookies complimentary at evenimg time. Excellent hospitality made our stay memorable. It is a resort not to be missed. The only disappointing feature was the plunge pool with the log huts. The huts were good the plunge pool is well located but size is not of a plunge pool and was a disappointment. Resort is highly recommended.

Polo orchid is a luxurious resort overlooking the seven sister falls in cherrapunji. While tourists are standing in line to take photos from the view point just a few 100 meters from the resort, you get the chance to sip a cup of coffee or relax in the swimming pool overlooking the falls. The restaurant has extremely professional staff with top notch food and service. They had a dusherra special buffet on the day we had gone and the spread was amazing. The only downside on our trip was the size of the orchid room. For a family of 2 adults and 1 kid, there is not much space to do anything in the room. The room we had got was also the last in line (504. So our room opened up into the service area of the swimming pool and not the actual pool with the falls in the backdrop. Due to this, we mostly spent our time outside the room in the restaurant or the pool. Since the orchid rooms were also right below the pool table and activity area, there was constant noise from above during the night which disturbed our sleep.

We believe this is the best resort in cherrapunjee, worth the money. Calm and serene. Beautiful location with good rooms. We stayed in the presidential villa it has a infinity pool by the mountain cliff overlooking the 7-ssiter falls. You don't need to go anywhere to do sightseeing, that beautiful luxurious cottage with all services is sure to make one wanting to stay more days in that resort. Staffs are polite, front desk has less hassle for check in check out. More than enough parking spaces. There is a dormitory for drivers(non family members, small homestays nearby as well. Breakfast was good all the varieties of international standards. One sure cannot eat taste all the items. The restaurant is on the cliff as well with superb views. All the staffs there were caring but shy. The main swimming pool has a excellent eye catching views. There they serve drinks by the pool (music included. Eco park is just 2km away, mawsmai cave is 3km away. Roads are good. A must visit place.

We had an awesome stay at polo orchid. We were a little exhausted as we came direct from a wedding but the view, the staff, the rooms everything made us feel so much better. The food was great and the staff is really courteous. Their head chef is so down to earth and made sure the food could be customized as per our taste and liking. The topping on the cake was the spa which has highly trained professionals and made all our tiredness just fade away. The view from the balcony room was explicit. We were able to see the sunrise direct from our balcony room. They have benches set on the cliff where you can sit and enjoy watching the sun rise with a cup of tea. Overall we had an amazing stay and lifetime of good memories thanks to polo orchid.

Polo resort is at an excellent place with great views. The moment we reached there was a grand welcome by playing drums. All the staffs are highly trained, well behaved and quick in service. Polo resort gives you a royal feel. Rooms are very clean and well maintained. At the evening there is live music at the dinning hall with all the guests at the same place giving a homely feeling. I am happy with everything except the food. Good is horrible. You can't even test few dishes, forget about eating. We have returned it although they have not charged for the returned food. Breakfast has tolerable test. We again plan to stay there in future as the stay was awesome but food we will take from outside.

Remarkable experience with resort location, absolutely stunning room view, cleanliness, excellent breakfast buffet, delicious food during dinner (we didn't take lunch) and most importantly the hospitality of the staffs. The entire staff very courteous but special mention to two people> banri (at the dinning area) for being very particular with the order, both at breakfast and dinner and pradeep (from housekeeping) for the clean room and also a complimentary room decoration. If you are visiting sohra and looking for a luxury stay, please give this place a chance, you will not regret.

The overall experience was good. The food is of very good quality and quantity too. N the service of the staff, reception was splendid, specially the room service staff were so dedicated and efficient. Excellent for the service. Though the resort is not that expanded, it has all the elements. I expected a bit more of landscape designed garden area. N i was a bit disappointed because we couldn't see the seven siter water fall from our room due to cloudy weather. But overall experience and stay was beautiful.

Stayed for 2 nights. Beautiful view and very friendly staffs. Things that disappointed me was the area has very weak network and wifi was not working and there was no running water in room, after complaining the tap started running but the water was ice cold and there was no hot water even after complaining twice. Stayed 2 days without bathing. Rest everything is perfect.

The restaurant needs improvements. Indian food is fine, chinese and continental needs a lot of improvement. Proper capacity planning is not there. At breakfast, place is too crowded.

I had an awesome stay. Food by chef kajal singh was great as was the hospitality. Shout out to shekhar mondale and his housekeeping team for managing the property so well.

Room rate is very very high comparison to the quality, food was nice and the scenery was the best deal, it really didn't made us feel betrayed, we don't mind spending a good amount on a good quality room but i must say i was disappointed. But the stuff and the place really was amazing, we will surly visit again but just not be staying in a higher category room. Thanks for your service.

This location is very beautiful@sohra. Much recommended place to spend summer vacation. Food quality is quite good and dining hospitality is superb. But i suggest the administration team to increase capacity so that one could get a more comfortable suite for stay. Thanks!

We are happy with our family stay on 21 aug 22. Booking upgraded from dew drop to rain forrest suite. Nice ambience. Comfortable stay. Good food.
