Poovar Island Resort

We reached there by 1. 30 before checking we had our lunch from the beautiful restaurant, we ordered our food and there is some delay, i think we are little late maybe that’s why we feel the delay but the food was good. Reaching the rooms we are little disappointed, toilets and rooms are feel so aged and quality of water is not up to the mark but the total ambiance pool landscaping everything we enjoyed. Meanwhile my children go for some cycling and some fun games there they asked for additional payment like some amusement park they charge for each ride but here the are different we are the guest of that Poovar Island Resort and the recreation are chargeable why they put fee for gym / yoga/ swimming pool. Resort and atmosphere - 4. 5* food - 4* food pricing - 2* service & hospitality - 5* food pricing - it's heavily overpriced! for a normal appam (2 in a set) they are changing 200; 100 per appam ! in a normal restorent it may charge maximum up to 20. All the dishes are changed at a 5 star Poovar Island Resort rate, may be higher than that. Gusts are supposed to take food only from the resort, because it's in an island. Apart from food the stay was good. Sad part is thet; they don't allowed us to visit the beach because of high tide. *but many people from out were visiting the beach. Advised to cross check the climate before booking; you can't miss the beach! also it's advised to visit the resort in rainy season.

Awesome relaxed stay. Special shout out to the security officer who is providing great security to the guests and the house keeping staff nirmal for the kind service. The only spoiler is from the restaurant, there is one staff member, he doesn't like to serve at all, he discourages the guest to come to the restaurant, he said he won't serve the tea outside the ac hall. Also when we requested one extra cup, he simply didn't bring it. He was showing faces to the guests as if we visited his house for dinner. Nearly 50 staffs were working really well to assist the guests better and this one guy ruined everyone's effort by disrespecting the guest.

The overall ambience was great. Picturesque property and quite well maintained. There is room for improvement. The wait for the obligatory boats to and fro from the resort to parking bay was a bit long. The cabin I stayed in , 201, was meant for the vertically challenged perhaps with the main door eyepiece at waist height and bathroom basin height at knee level! There was al lizard in the cabinet which was off-putting. There are adequate restaurants and coffee shops but the resort was short on man power it seems leading to idling time reaching an hour. Overall, a good experience especially as the resort scores high on ambience.

We have planned this trip on last minute on dec24th and got floating cottages which have waterfront and peaceful enviornmnt. Resort is very neat and clean and entire staffs well behaving and supportive. We have enjoyed food and my elderly parents feels relaxed in eco friendly atmosphere. One serious difficulty my parent's faced is lack of support to hold while moving out from floating cottage to moving floating bridge. If balance lost, big chance to fall down to water is forseen. Other than that, we are satisfied and thanks entire team for giving us a memorable christmas day at island resort.

The Poovar Island resort is the best resort to relax with your family and friends. All staff are very polite and friendly. The Resort Managers Rex, Alfred are all very good nature and welcome guest heartly. A good resort with best amenities, walk8ng area, Ayurveda massage, child play area, sea view, back water rides etc... a must visit and stay resort. i would definitely encourage all my friends and others to stay at this resort and experience it... there is no much word to say on this resort stay... all excellent....I give thumbs up and 5 star star 🌟...

Super location, Poovar Island Resort will pick you through there ferry to Poovar Island Resort, very well located on backwaters and seashore…nice clean spacious rooms, good food quality bit on expensive side especially on seafoods, breakfast had good variety and tasty, staffs were courteous. Nice vast property with all amenities, adventurous play for kids..only drawback we couldn’t go to the seashore though was just away from our sight as high alert was issued “so strictly followed by the resort” our bad luck..however our stay was awesome

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of Poovar Island Resort. Everything about the Poovar Island Resort was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

The resort is a beautiful getaway destination. Lots of activities involved in the resort. The floating cottage is a must stay place especially for couples. The food and the ambience is amazing. The staff there are very friendly and helpful.

I like the boating way to the resort and support of the staffs. Will be going to this place again. All the meals are food

Location and stay at resort was excellent also the room rent was fou d very reasonable considering the overall services

food was good . seperate section of veg and non veg make clear distinction . Room was spacious specially ayurveda village cottage has open bathroom concept . this property has two pool . Reception pool is crowded while Ayurveda Village pool is confined cottage dwellers less crowded and special can find more foreigner . our stay was 2 day we enjoyed food and stay after exhaustive travel to pilgrim centre. Thanks to staff who are kind and polite.

The resort is located on a island and the view is very nice with beautiful landscapes and gardens. The rooms should be upgraded and maintained a little

Situated at poovar island 30 km from thiruvananthapuram airport, resorts has floating and land based rooms. Rooms are luxurious and well maintained. Peaceful place to stay and enjoy with family.

I stayed here for one day. The resort sent a boat to take us the to reach there. It was very pleasant journey. The resort was having all the facility including ayurvedic centre where you can consult the doctor free.

The stay was ry pleasant; the boat ride to the Poovar Island Resort and the Poovar Island Resort’s location itself are aesthetically pleasing. The vast lawns and relaxing area are amazing to take a nice stroll on. The food also tasted pretty good. Overall a complete package.
