Lovely location, good nice and helpful staff, good food. Garden facing room are really good... will be back again!

Hey it’s like a combination of udupi & Goa ,I mean this property is in such a location it has backwaters,soft sand beach and peace . We went for our anniversary celebration and this resort turned out to be our worth spending time & money .Hospitality of staff over there was really impressive .

I recently stayed at Poovar Island Resort, and the first thing I have to say is that the location is its biggest highlight. Reaching the property by boat feels special. The surroundings are calm and beautiful, and the resort itself has the potential to give you that perfect island getaway vibe. But once you get past the setting, things start to dip. The resort has every amenity you’d expect on paper, but the people and the upkeep don’t match the standard. The staff isn’t very welcoming, which you immediately feel from the moment you check in. For a place of this category, you expect warmer service and better communication. The rooms need serious maintenance. Walls look old, paint is peeling, taps don’t work properly, and hot water is hit or miss. Some rooms don’t even have basic items like a hair dryer. When you’re paying for a premium stay, these are small things but they matter. Because the property is huge, housekeeping takes a long time to respond. If you call them for anything, be ready to wait. And one more thing: the checkout experience feels rushed. If your checkout is at 11, they start calling you from 10 and make sure you’re out by 11 or 11:15. It doesn’t feel guest-friendly at all. Overall, the place has charm because of its location, but the stay felt average. With the same budget, Poovar has other resorts that offer better rooms and better service. I’d say enjoy the boat ride and the views, but think twice before picking this one.

Resort was good Food in the resort is expensive and resort can be reached only by boat which is offered by the resort for free on booking rooms

Our stay at Poovar Island Resort was an unforgettable experience. The floating cottage stay was absolutely amazing, offering beautiful views of the backwaters and the nearby ocean. The ambience was peaceful and refreshing, and the property was very well maintained. The staff were extremely friendly, courteous, and helpful throughout our stay. The food was delicious, with great variety and excellent quality. Overall, it’s a perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature’s beauty with outstanding hospitality. We stayed here for two nights. This is an old property. Highlights: The location is scenic, and the overall experience of reaching the property by boat was unique and enjoyable. Areas of Concern: The hygiene standards were disappointing. The iron table provided, the massage room, and the general ambience did not meet expectations. The service quality was poor. This was disheartening, as such treatment is rare to experience in India. Unfortunately, this left us regretting our decision to book this property.

Great location and amenities for the price what we pay, Since its an island one has to plan the boat ride as one has to wait for long , pls plan ur travel to other places accordingly as the staff is very slow at times.

The property is very beautiful, located in an island surrounded by water and lots of greenery around!! Food is reasonably good, staff quite courteous. Housekeeping & upkeep of rooms can be improved, especially the lenen needs an upgrade. Overall great experience!!

I stayed at Poovar Island Resort for one night over the weekend. The location is undoubtedly beautiful and serene — perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were welcoming and the hospitality was commendable, which made the short stay pleasant. However, I felt that I couldn't fully enjoy the experience due to limited time and the fact that most of the amenities and activities close by 7 PM. This early cutoff made the evening feel a bit uneventful. Also, while the setting and service were nice, the food didn’t quite live up to expectations. Overall, it’s a great place if you’re staying for longer and can explore everything during the day. For short stays or late arrivals, it might not offer the best value.

They are not allowing our car to hotel parking by saying u have to take hotel taxi price of their taxi is 4 times higher and not allowing uber and savari cabs and threatnig the drivers

We had an average experience at Poovar Island resort. The rooms were not very comfortable, and due to bad weather, there were no activities available. The Restaurant staff attitude was also disappointing.

Poovar Island Resort is an amazing property. The food was delicious, and the hospitality was top-notch. The room was very clean and spacious . The location of the resort was close to sea. They provide complimentary boat trips to the beach. They have lots of activities.

Location was great , the boat ride to reach the property was superb. We stayed at the floating cottage which had great views of the backwater and the sea , one of a kind experience, Food was good, breakfast spread was also good. The soft furnishings in the cottage could have been upgraded.

Boat Service for pick up and drop off to Poovar island resort was not proper. It took more than 1hr. Hospitality was poor.

Location, food, amenities were awesome. Service was very slow. It took them 20 mins just to get us drinking water. Floating cottage washroom started to overflow all of a sudden and we had to shift our room
