excellent location and beautifully decorated

This stay was simply put superb. In a city filled with so much beauty, being in the middle of the lakes, Shalom Backpackers puts you in the heart of the location. One of the best rooftops in the whole plaza as it's very spacious which allows for peaceful moments and to get work done if required. As the stay is almost always booked up there will be people to vibe and connect with however do not ignore the staff. Where there was a communication barrier, it was filled by their wit, openess and heart. I can not stress this enough. Talk to the hostel staff, get to know them - it will make your stay much more comfortable. Shalom Backpackers has felt like a home during my stay. Ensure to book in advance as the rooms sell out when you leave things last minute. I have been in 4 different hostels on my Udaipur adventure and none of them have felt like home until I stayed in this one. People like Lakhan cafe manager Manish, Akash, Shubham will highlight your stay and ensure you leave with a smile on your face. Highly recommend.

The bathroom was very bad. There was no space for a six-foot tall person to sit in the bathroom in room number 2. That's why when I went to the common washroom upstairs, I had to open the door of the closet there by hand to do anything. Not only that, there was no flush toilet to clean, there was not even a cup for it. Everything else was great. The view from the rooftop was great. Everything else was beautiful. The only thing I felt was bad was the bathroom.

My stay here is absolutely incredible—it serves up the best vibe in town. Between the clean, comfortable rooms and the helpful staff and cool host (who made my stay a blast!), I felt right at home. The evening jamming sessions on the rooftop are the perfect way to connect with other travelers, and you truly cannot beat the stunning sunset view from their terrace. Highly recommend for a "home away from home" experience!

great stay fantastic staff very nice owner

Didn't got the hot water for bath, the staff kept fooling by giving irrelevant answers. Asked for tea and hadn't got even in entire day, charged over for a towel even though it was written less on board. I would suggest to check other properties before opting this.

Amazing place for groups with stunning lake views. The property is peaceful, well-maintained, and perfect for a relaxing stay. Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff is polite and very supportive.
