Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay

We've always visited the property for its amazing food at wharf and we'd never complain. It's one of those things where you've been visiting the property for countless reasons be it weddings, small meet ups or just a romantic meal. The food has always made us want to go back. So this time we decided to stay at the property and boy was i left disappointed. I'll get to the positives list first - room - we booked the sea view villa and this villa is right by the beach so + points for the spectacular view from the room. The room itself was pretty average but the property is an old one so we'd let that slide. Food - the food at wharf has always been great, a major plus about our stay and our room was only 50 metres away from the restaurant. The lemon garlic squid is one of their signature dishes and is a must try. Spa - bodhi spa, easily one of the best highlights of this small trip. My wife and i both loved the therapy and kudos to the team. Definitely a reason why you might want to visit the property again. Hospitality - one of their major + is their hospitality. All the staff are well spoken and well trained. Negatives - room - jacuzzi in the sea view villa was horrendous. It felt like it was only kept there for antique purposes and not for use. There was so much dust accumulated in it that the bath drain was returning all the dust around it back into the tub. The ac in the room works in only one portion and this is a villa mind you, so the room is pretty big but the ac only works on one side making it really hot in the rest of the room. You need to keep the temperature at the lowest so that you can sit in the living room of the villa and freeze to death if you're sitting on the bed at the same time. Breakfast - very average spread, nothing to write about. Responsiveness - it takes ages for any request from the housekeeping or in-room dining dept to process. For food, they asked to wait for 45 mins, but it's sent only after an hour and 15 mins. Small things like providing bottles of water take 30 mins to be given to us in the room. Overall the experience was very average considering the fact that it's one of chennai's oldest and most popular resorts.

This is a sprawling 43acres property and it's definitely classy one. The upkeep, maintenance, cleanliness and staff are excellent. Stayed for 2 nights in pool-view chalet with family. It was comfortable and service was up to the mark. Note that the price point is on the higher side for both stay and food. I have been to thier breakfast buffet in the past, it is ok still but somehow i felt it isn't the spread/vibe it used have. It is still a fabulous spread. Now coming on to some improvements or what i didn't like - 2nd night dinner was the best probably. Sun-day morning breakfast, it was sort of repeat of some items from friday evening and saturday evening items. This i didn't expect for the price we paid for the buffets. I want to call out 2 of thier staff who have been very helpful/understanding. 1. Mr. Pankaj - restaurant manager at wateredge. He gave us a good deal for buffets as we were 6 with 2 kids and elderly parents. 2. Mr. Vinoth - one of the buggy drivers, he was friendly and showed us around the property and helped out a lot

I had a fantastic experience staying at radisson blu resort temple bay. The private beach is clean and perfect for enjoying time with family. The nearby temple is easily accessible, with autos available on the main road. The resort boasts a massive swimming pool and offers a variety of activities, including painting, which was a delightful way to spend time. The staff assisting with the painting activities were warm and incredibly helpful. The only downside was that sometimes it took a while to get the battery car, so we occasionally opted to walk instead of waiting. However, the highlight of my stay was the breakfast spread. Not only was there an extensive variety of food options, but they also accommodated our request for dishes without onion and garlic. Overall, it was an outstanding experience, and i’ll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Stayed at radisson blu temple bay resorts as part of my trip to chennai. We stayed for one day. Checked in the evening around 5 pm. We were warmly greeted by the Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay staff with shell necklaces and a welcome lemon tea drink. The check in process was smooth. We were also greeted by one of their property managers. Then we headed to our room. Very well furnished rooms with a/c. Access to beach was wonderful, we made it to the beach as well in time. Food was fantastic, kids had their favorite chocolate drinks. Food is slightly pricey, Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay can look in to that. Since we had heavy lunch, we had a light dinner. Still our overall food and beverages bil came to 5k. Room have been recently painted i guess. We could feel the paint smell as we reentered the rooms.

Beautiful beach facing location with direct access to the beach. Resort is excellent and huge. Round the clock buggy service available. The rooms are spacious; however, i faced a few issues. Tv channels took about 24 hours to be activated. The bathroom door was not locking that too took about 24 hours to be fixed. They provide cycles to roam around at a charge. All the cycles had less or no air. The air pumps were broken and no one was available to fix them. The breakfast spread is excellent. The menu needs to change everyday though. It's repetitive for people staying for 3-4 days. Wharf 2. 0 is an excellent restaurant by the beach. Menu needs to offer more items.

Booked radisson blu at mahabalipuram, for my wife’s birthday. We stayed there with our 4 years old daughter. Booked a sea facing chalet for 2 nights. It’s a huge and amazing property, located near the entrance of mahabalipuram. Breakfast fast and lunch spread in buffet was fast and tasty. Even my 4 years old daughter liked the food. We didn’t face any problem regarding food for baby. Swimming pool is the largest of the pools i have seen in india. Buggy service is available in the resort. It comes maximum with in 5 minutes of call. Overall a memorable stay. We would like to visit again.

The property is excellent with a private beach entrance and 2 swimming pools. The beach is well maintained neat and clean. Of the 2 pools, one is infinity level-ling to the sea level and the other is running for 220 meters, a very long pool with 2 overbridges to cross the pool by walk. Rooms are awesome with a very little access to view the beach over the garden view. The only drawback is swiggy was not available, but we had couple of restaurants and the food was good and worth paying though it is expensive for a middle income customers.

The property is huge and awesome. The swimming pool and the amenities were was just tailored made. It keeps the adults and the children engaged. Well maintained and neat property. The food especially the complimentary breakfast had varieties to choose from. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The buggi r8des were blessing in disguise ferrying us to and fro to the restaurant and to pools. We had great time spending at radissonblu mahabalipuram. Will definitely visit again.

Pleasant stay, well mannered staff. Food is good, but menu can be more expansive. Its bit limited. Well maintained pool and beach.

It was very peaceful and a pleasant stay. Much needed relaxation. The beach is very close to the room which is a plus compared to other resorts nearby

This property is well maintained and is so very beautiful. We upgraded to sea view chalet at the resort just to find very stunning views from the room itself! food is great, takes about 30-35 minutes to get room delivered. Easy access to the private beach which is secluded and not very crowded is just a cherry on top. Highly recommended for those who seek a weekend getaway from their hectic work schedules.

Excellent stay ! rooms were neat and clean. Decent stay for a weekend ! swimming pool is phenomenal and we enjoyed. Children activities in beach could have been added. Beach smell is stingy and private area also not maintained properly. Need to improve on hospitality and service. Food quality and child complimentary is good. Overall decent stay !

Evening hi tea is a great ritual they follow. Technically this should be considered a heritage property as it contains the original mamallapuram guest house the foundation stone for which was laid by then cm kamaraj in the 1950s. Very quiet and away from city noises. The food is very good and the property is very well maintained.

Was fun, nice location, prone to lizards in room. Food was good expected more. But all in all great stay

The room we stayed were awesome. Very helpful staff and good ambience sleeping looking at the sea. The wharf had very good seafood spread. Only disappointment was that the what f was closed for tuesday lunch.
