Raga on the Ganges

The property offers perfect getaway from the city life while maintaining the luxury standards. The view, location, cottage infrastructure, staff service and housekeeping- all is great! a few things that can be imporved: 1. Food (especially breakfast) is usually above average, but can definitely be improved by adding some options for starters and improving taste & variety for non-veg dishes. Adding evening snacks to the meal package is also a good option. 2. Our balcony offers great view of river. But to enjoy that fully, one needs comfortable chairs or bean bags or mattresses to sit on floor. The currently available chairs are not so comfortable if one wants sit out in balcony fot long hours. 3. Because of the surroundings, the presence of mosquitoes and insects is an obvious thing. The Raga on the Ganges should either inform the travellers before hand to get some mosquito repellent, or keep some mosquito body spray/cream in store. Without using any of these body based repellents, it is impossible for to sit outdoors especially after the sunset.

Reached at 2 am and staff was awake for warm check in! This property is 30 km from Rishikesh and it’s good. There is perfect calm environment and great view from room. Best thing I liked was a very big lawn almost 100 sq yards in front of two rooms. Where you can enjoy at your ease. They allow swimming pool till late at night. We used it till 1:30 am along with one more group once. On other days we saw other groups enjoying late at night. You can go right up to Ganges in the Raga on the Ganges. There are many lawns in Raga on the Ganges for various uses. Staff is very courteous and helpful. I’m sure one will enjoy a stay here. Few improvements suggested 1. There should be play room for kids. It is a must for any family on vacations. 2. There should be bar room too. It doesn’t look good to travel 3km to get liquor and carry it too. Plus you can enjoy drinks separately (this situation is there with few people).

I really recommend to this Raga on the Ganges. I have booked 2 standard room for 5 family members with one extra bed. View from room was awesome especially in the morning. Room was clean. Food quality was also yummy. Swimming pool is also at the best location to enjoy the view of mountain.However pool area is small but can be manageable. Staff are very courteous and have hospitality manner. I really recommend this Raga on the Ganges. I would like to thanks Mr.Amit @reception for arranging beautiful cake.
I have stayed here for 1 day with 5 members and booked 2 standard room. It was really awesome trip. Pros: Morning view is best one. Food quality is also good. Good place to relax with family. Courtseous staff. Overall good property at best location to enjoy beauty of nature. Specially thanks to Mr.Amit who arrange a cake for birthday celebration at night. Cons: Swimming Pool is small.

We had a 3 night 4 days stay at the raga by the gang-es in may, 23. We were delighted by the magnificent 360 degrees view at the property with gang-es flowing almost touching the property and a sandy river beach just at the other shore of the ganges. There was ganga aarti every evening and a wonderful 2-3 kilometers trekking organized by the Raga on the Ganges every morning through a narrow hanging bridge on the gang-es ending into a large sandy beach and to top it all wonderful tea & biscuits organized at the beach by the Raga on the Ganges staff. Food was great. Room was as large as a tennis court and quite good. Service was good but didn't match the rest of our enjoyable stay.

The resort is very beautiful and the staff is very courteous and friendly. They provide plenty of activities and some are complimentary. The problems we faced were that it is located 30 minutes outside rishikesh, the resort has a lot of uphill and downhill walking involved which proved difficult for my elderly parents. Though they do have golf carts available but those are not available all the time. There was no network at the resort and the wifi signals did not reach the room nor the restaurant area. Cleanliness was very good and the views were spectacular though.

Our stay in Raga on the ganges was Good. Specially which we the the behavior of the staff was very good. They are very humble to us specially at the front desk Mr Amit and Mr Negi from the restaurant staff. This property is ideal for the forest lover. Only just that this property is bit far from the rishikesh city is approx 35-40 km. Food quality is good but they have limited options. All rooms have good view. Swimming pool is not clean to use. Overall it's good to have experience with this Raga on the Ganges. We can give 8 out of 10 to this Raga on the Ganges.

The property is absolutely stunning. The ganga cottage has the best view of the river and it was mesmerizing. The staff was very cooperative and helpful. The rooms are amazing and spacious. The sitting areas have amazing views of the mountains and the river. The only point i did not like was the food. The menu is very limited. The continental food is very average. The quality of the food seems fine however the taste is not that great. The prices are decent though. Everything said and done. I would surely want to revisit the property again.

Rooms were comfortable and amenities were adequate. If you want to avoid too walking then insists for rooms at ground floor near restaurant. Staff are cooperative and courteous. Swimming pool is good but small( good for kids. Food in the restaurant is very good. Do not book buffet. ( that’s not economical option) don’t miss the ganga beach. For this one need to go up on by road and trek downwards. It’s non miss-able experience. Also you can go to river by using stairs form the resort

Hotel is located far from city crowd. Food is delicious and the staff is really courteous. You can spend a whole day in and around the Raga on the Ganges.

Currently roads to The Raga on the Ganges are under construction, once there, you don't need anything else. Good place to kickback and relax. Must try!
