Rain Country Resort

This property is situated Little inside from the Kalpetta Main road(may be 2-3 Km). Trekking can start from here. Way toward property is little exciting(small narrow road) We will feel that we are staying in a forest(but it's not a forest). If you are going to relax/meditate from your busy work, then this place is a Good option, a silent place. If you select a normal cottage, you get small water spring near to your room(water depends on season). The pleasant sound from there can rejuvenate your mind if you like silence. All the cottages are a kind of Traditional touch and you can enjoy your evening with a cup of Tea/Coffee in the cottage courtyard. You can do a small trekking inside to a higher place where you get a good sky/mountain view(Check with the staff). Sometime you may feel scary wind sound because lot of tree around the property. So you can enjoy the forest feeling and get a chance to pray also hehe. Its safe only (Positive) If you come with family, you may feel little remote, But it's safe inside the resort Advantage: Silent/Pleasant environment with small forest atmosphere. Good service. Staff behavior was good and helpful. Even staff accompanied me for the small trekking(Depends on Busy time) You can spend time by using the amenities Disadvantage: Property is little inside, so you may find difficulty to find if you go by car. No proper sign board(we should bear this if you need a good resort) Road towards the property is not good completely. But I feel nothing can be done here because it's on gov't/forest dept road If you arrange vehicle/Jeep from the resort, then I feel its little expensive. So make agreement before you arrange Restaurant is average. They could have include more items. Its little expensive too

Pitty I dint book this first and only stayed there for a day after checking out from another Rain Country Resort. The location is must visit for nature lovers especially if you want to just chill and stay inside without going any where. A 40 acre natural green property, less commercialised, with streams in between and a small trek to top. Couldn't see the view at the peak due to fog. The drive to the resort is almost like off road experience. Only put off was the restaurant does not accommodate a-la-carte orders during buffet. Avoid visiting during rains but otherwise a perfect place to chill out with family or teams with games like shuttle, table tennis and ample space and ayurvedic massages. If you plan to visit tourist attraction in Wayanad book 2 days extra as you will seldom feel like going out of the resort. Will definitely go back again!

If you plan for a trip to relax amidst NATURE, this is the resort for you! The cottages are located on the peak of the hill. 24/7 Experience - Water Stream, Greenery, Clouds, Mist, Rain. The 4 km drive from highway to the resort is an adventurous one! If you are a nature lover, you will appreciate the place from your heart. Such a beautiful place in this earth. We had 3 nights stay and it was a memorable one. Food,Staff service were excellent. Mr. Dev Anand, the of the cottage gave a good company playing TT with us and with his numerous wits all through our stay. Mr. Santhosh too was of great help and at our service. Glad to meet Mr. Anil, MD of this property who is humble and kind by nature. Will be visiting this place every year for sure!

Rain Country Resort is located in a very scenic and natural setting. There is a natural water body inside the property and a tiny water fall makes its pathway through it. All in all, the nature is at its abundance here. However, the property is not very well maintained. We stayed in a wooden cottage and the room was very moist and smelly. The look and feel of the property also clearly suggests lack of regular maintenance. But I would also say that the hospitality and promptness of the house keeping staff fills up the void to some extent. So, in summary, please go for it if you want to stay in a very natural place but do not expect too many 'amenities'!

If you are looking for peaceful & relaxed holiday, this is the place to be. It is completely secluded in the midst of lush greenery. Rooms are amazing and give you true feel of being in traditional Kerala. Resort is maintained as naturally as it can be. Resort has enough activities which can keep you occupied even if you do not plan to venture out for sight seeing. Food can be rated as average except for Malabar Biryani which was amazing. Service can be a little pain as people take lot of time to turn up and food service is pretty delayed.

Positive: 1. Location is awesome. 2. Nature lovers, just go & enjoy. 3. Beautiful sounds of rainfall, stream and species. 4. Spacious & clean rooms. 5. Hot water all the time. 6. Good Mobile signals (I used Airtel and Jio). 7. Mist in the early evening. 8. Can do trekking. Area for improvement: 1. Approach road of 3. 2KM is very pathetic. Not much of food variety, but fairly tasty, little costlier. No credit cards are accepted. Beware of leaches all the time. No amenities, unusable natural pond.

Staff - Friendly, but does not always act on requirements. Property - Very beautiful, great for a getaway. Accessibility - 3. 3 km off road on a single lane tricky dirt path. Hard to visit places around. Food - Very average. Cleanliness - Generally clean WiFi - They claim that they have it, but they don't. Facilities - They have a game room where you can play table tennis, carom, badminton and cricket. Room Facilities - They don't have much by way of facilities, just empty rooms with beds.

Resort is 3. 5 kms from the main road in deep woods. Awesome locale to stay. Rooms are clean, insects comes on lighting that cannot be prevented also in forest areas. It was rainy most of the time during the visit, beware of leeches during rainy days. Food is good, hospitality of the restaurant staff good. Mr. Joseph the person in charge take cares your needs. A mini stream of water inside the resort gives a pleasant and great feeling being close to nature.

Service quality is excellent. Hotel satff polite and helpful.

Adventure drive to resort, very nice experience in stay here. Restaurant person services are good and Mr.Deva also give wonderful service and safety to couples and family. Location is ideal from public, in deep forest and center of hills like valley.

4 Km away from the National Highway, and its a off-road drive with thrill. Very decent Rain Country Resort, dinner no option only with this restaurant but it's worth. Lots of indoor activities with small false, pond and play area. Ideal for family, good relaxation. Only problem leaches.

Awesome in nights stay

Had a very nice day, scenic location, friendly staff. Good food. Was very calm and serene. Access road was a challenge but manageable. Would recommend to people who look for a very scenic place with no disturbance or noise. Wished to stay for another day, may be sometime later.

The food was the only draw back.The rest was fantastic.It was an amazing experience and the staff were an asset to the resort.Their welcoming smiles makes ur stay even more worth.If its Waynad then it got to be Rain country resort.

The property is located in a beautiful place. Awesome location. Staff were good. Service great. Natural pool and stream has to be mentioned specifically. Road to resort requires a SUV. Activities are not up to the mark. Restaurant serves only buffet.

We had difficulty in finding the place and most surprising part was last 4 km drive. Neat and clean maintained cottages, good food and service, English speaking staff, really a value for money.
