Rainforest Munnar Resort

I stayed at Rainforest Munnar for two days (December 23-25). Location and ambiance: Resort is in an isolated place (14 km from Munnar) which will take around 30 to 40 minutes drive in car as the resort is isolated we enjoyed the calmness and the nature around us. I would rate the location as 4. Cleanliness: We stayed in an independent villa and it was completely constructed in wood. The room and restroom are pretty clean. I would rate it as 4 for cleanliness. Staff: The receptionist was pretty warm and welcoming to the guests and the support guys too were helpful (tv and DTH wasn’t working and they fixed it asap and they were some issues even after that, which the Rainforest Munnar Resort guys again replaced it). I would rate the staff behavior as 4. Food: Food was the only thing which we felt could have been done better. We ordered finger chips and tea which was not satisfying for us, also the breakfast was limited (two choices were provided poori/Upma on one day and idli/bread on the other day), there was a restaurant near by in a resort named “elixir” it’s in the same estate, so foodies can try over there for varieties (walk-able from Rainforest resort), the rating will be around 3 for food. Overall the experience was good and I would recommend booking Rainforest resort for a vacation. :)

A peaceful, pleasant and relaxing stay in middle of jungle. Manager Boni and his staffs are very nice and helpful. The property is away from Munnar City but not much tough to find it out. But its on a slope of a hill so drive carefully. Its more like a bungalow experience rather than a conventional Rainforest Munnar Resort or resort, so for the food you have to order in advance. If you are arriving in late morning or afternoon or going out for a tour, it would be better to order the lunch/dinner in advance or eat outside and reach there. But the management do contact you or remind you about their policies so we didn't face much inconvenience. We booked a single bedroom cottage. Room and bathroom were clean. You will get jungle view from any of the windows. Hot water and power backup is available. Food quality and quantity is good. For breakfast you have only buffet option but based on the present guests they tweak the menu so no problem with that. Other meals you can order from their menu. Overall at this budget a nice facility in the middle of jungle away from City hassle.

Without doubt one of the recommended Rainforest Munnar Resorts in I stayed during my visit in Munnar! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and manager Mr Boni. The staff was extremely friendly, the food was very good (appreciate this! Specially kerala local food, must try) and the restaurant cook deserves a special thanks. We had two great evening and my family truly enjoy the stay in rain forest. The scenery was beautiful, fresh oxygen, far-away from local market, no mobile network but Rainforest Munnar Resort has WiFi and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment and always hot water in bathroom. Note, this is not a 4/5-star Rainforest Munnar Resort or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the manager who does a great job here, a true sample of excellent hospitality!

When you come from a crowded and noisy city, you need a peaceful place to relax and be with your loved ones. This is one of the best places for that. Situated in the dense forest of Munnar, Rain forest helps you blend with the nature. The host justifies the name hospitality. They are very polite and customer friendly. Breakfast is complementary and good to have. Only 2 negative points - 1. This home stay is 10km away from Munnar city bus stand and the road to Rainforest Munnar Resort is not very neat. Travelers need to come here before 8pm. 2. For pure vegetarians, there are limited options for dinner. Don't expect exotic dinner.

Awesome place to visit... Really enjoyed a lot... Nice hospitality and service.. The place is really awesome.. Just felt difficulties to find out the route as none of the networks work their except to know from Rainforest Munnar Resort guys) but anyways you will get a good WiFi there.

This place is inside Letchmi estate. Quite interior so limited phone network. Serene and solitude place. A small waterfall at Elixir Rainforest Munnar Resort. This place is meant for calm and peaceful experience. Food options are limited or you can go to other restaurant.

Highly calm and quiet area, those who want to really relax, am highly recommending rain-forest munnar resort. The staffs are very good in their services and they are very helpfull, they are ready to serve at anytime

The Rainforest Munnar Resort was very good and staff was very pleasant. Only one complain that the bed-sheet got ruined during our stay and I had to pay for the same. Otherwise pleasant stay.
