RainTree EcoStay | Rooms in a Homestay

Raintree turned out to be a surprise. I made a late booking for one night - as we planned a sudden trip to shringeri n sakleshpur. I wasnt expecting to get the top end resort/homestays at one days notice in this season. So settled for whatever 4+ i could see available. We reached the place quite late and in heavy rains. So the entry/approach was a bit of an issue, since the rooms are quite spread out. Nevertheless. The staff (akaash/jagadish) were helpful and effective. The place is on a hill top - with a meadow feel. The pictures probably dont do enough justice. Alas! it was raining most of the time we were there - which was a short stay - and we couldnt take more pics effectively in better light and without rains. Good : the location, ambience and open spaces. Great for a group of friends, big family outing, even couples, kids - all alike. Helpful staff. Decent food. Not so good: the rooms are far away from dinning hall. With no stone pavement from rooms, rains made it difficult to walk for my dad. No umbrellas no outdoor furniture. Suggestion: - keep 5-10 big sized umbrella's for guests to use. - consider default mattress in family room - since the bedsize is too compact for two adults. - consider getting wifi in the dinning hall area - since zero connectivity (while good to consider as digital detox) is not practical in current age. Even up i payment was a hassle. - given the lush greens - it would be great to have outdoor move-able furniture available for guests to sit outside on greens. You could even consider a few tents as an option. - improve the patio space around family rooms - no bed side power point for recharging. - rooms are not sound proof. We could hear all sounds from adjacent family room.

the resort has an excellent view which is a treat to the eyes. they have large and beautiful landscaping. however, they need to maintain the resort well. the path connecting rooms and dining area was not well maintained and quite slippery especially in the rain. in the night it gets dark and is very difficult to see. the rooms do not have tea and coffee bags which is a must. the dining area did not seem very clean and is small. the food has limited options but the food was well cooked and delicious. swimming pool was not clean. it should be cleaned on a regular basis.the rooms could have been more neat and clean. although many activities were mentioned for the kids, but only few of them were actually in working condition. only carrom board was worth playing among all the stated amenities. but i need to thank the caretaker jagdeesh who is very hardworking and performed almost all the jobs in the resort. he tried his best to meet our requirements. in a nutshell, proper maintenance with more focus on cleanliness and basic amenities would make the resort highly desirable. rooms2.0service3.0location5.0 RainTree EcoStay | Rooms in a Homestay highligh sgreat view · quiet

The location is superb and serene and the hospitality of the staff was good, however it would be great if they had wifi access or landline in rooms to call them. Jio sim has 0 signal up those mountains, one has to get hotspot from the resort staff to contact home. Thus it missed a perfect score due to lack of mobile connectivity. I suggested them to get an air fibre connection or at-least a dongle with airtel hotspot. If you are planning workation better to check if they have internet.

The photos on the internet donot do justice to the place. Absolutely amazing! would recommend this to anyone visiting sakleshpur. One problem, they serve instant coffee. In sakleshpur, that's a sin

The place has amazing view to enjoy from your room. You dont need to go anywhere else. It was all worth it. Would definitely come back again here to enjoy weather and view.

It was great stay in raintree. It’s located in hill, you can see and feel the cloud. They served great food, nice service, amazing view specially pool area.

Food could be a little better as i felt those were overpriced.

The location was awesome, the food was also amazing. Didn't have wifi or tv anywhere in the property. Good place if u are looking for digital detox.
