Rann Resort Dholavira

We stayed at the Rann resorts for a night and a day. It is a great property in an isolated village. There are a few more resorts nearby but none of them lies on the boundary of Rann. The great Rann extends from Dholavira to the Kuttch area and thus we were excited to stay on the bank of white Rann. Although the Rann (crystallized Salt) starts almost a KM away from the resort but the morning walk in the desert is a worth charm. The dinner was not included in the package but it was at a reasonable cost given a Gujrati thali buffet system. The staff and manager were extremely courteous and helpful. A special thanks to Naresh Bhai for making our stay comfortable. A slight drawback would be the electricity problem as there were frequent power cuts and voltage fluctuations.

The stay was good. The staff was very very courteous and very respectful. The place is on a good location just a km away is the white rann which you can through walking. Reason being 3 resorts only at dholavira this one is expensive but it’s worth it for a one day trip to such unexplored place
There are only 3-4 stays in dholavira and this being one obviously is priced high. It’s good for one day stay and maybe non gujaratis won’t like it as the food served here is gujrati and there are no other options. You can’t even get a bottle of beverage nearby. But still the place is worth it for the peace and tranquility. Very unexplored and virgin place of gujarat which needs some development.

We had a great time at rann resort. The management and staff were very welcoming, cooperative and guided us well about places to visit nearby. We will definitely like to go back to dholavira and to rann resort again and again.

Close to harappan civilization site, fossil park. Located in the middle of the island of the salt lake. Go with an additional set of linen and towels, that's the one thing the property to improve, they have limitations because of the remote area. Only jio and vodafone works in dholovira, plan your trip with alternate numbers.

We had a great stay in Rann Resort at Dholavira. There are only two resorts in Dholavira and we recommend this brand new resort over the older government owned resort. Food was great especially the Gujarati buffet over dinner. The great white desert is very close from the resort and so is the archaeological site.

Location is really good to visit excavation site. Staff is friendly. The premises is clean and quiet. It is a bit far but enjoyed the calmness. They offer a 3 hour gypsy ride in rann that we couldn't take because we didn't know this ahead of time. It is a must visit place if you are interested in ancient history.

We loved the location of the Rann Resort Dholavira. Rooms were clean and tidy. Staff was courteous and helpful too. Food was okay but expensive. Found the rooms too a bit expensive.

Rooms are good enough to stay in this kind of place. I'll give 5/5 for its location, because this Rann Resort Dholavira is at walk-able distance from the white desert. Facilities are not that much good, but I think we can't demand top class facilities in a desert.

Good place to stay if you are visiting Dholavira. The Rann Resort Dholavira service is extremely good and the staff is very polite. Food is excellent very homely. Value for money. The Resort is close to the Dholavira site as well as to the Rann

Nice location on the banks of rann of kutchh lake, good and very cheap food but a bit pricey stay

Basic amenities and simple homely food. Good for the serenity it offers. Owners are good and hospitable. Jeep safari to small island offered by them is a good addition to main site of excavation.

Very friendly behavior and sight seeing facility is also available. Good Rann Resort Dholavira rooms clean and good food.

The Resort is located in a remote place hence facilities would be limited. However toilets and rooms need to be better maintained. TV is not available in the Resort as it is located in a remote area. At the end staff at the resort are very helpful and courteous.

Great location, 3 km from archaeological site and walking distance from while ran. Super staff and great home style food. Please be aware, they don't have options in food, it is standard Gujarati thali.

A few cottages in a rustik village. Nothing great about the room or facilities. But we have no complaints. Its like a great home stay. Food was good and more like home made. Managed with a 3-4 staff in total. Don't go by the 'resort' tag, but we really enjoyed.

Good tents, nice and cooperative staff, nice food, relaxing stay near to the paragliding grounds. Overall an excellent and pleasant stay
