Rann Utsav - The Tent City

We stayed in rann utsav tent city for 1 night 2 days and i must say it was an experience for lifetime. It was memorable to see the white dessert and watch sunset there. There was many activites in tent which can keep you busy. Check-in is quick and tents are preallocated. Mobile network is strong and they provide wifi password. In evening around 5pm, we can visit rann of kutch and one can view sunset via a bus arranged by tent city. If you stay for more than a day, they take you to kala dun-gar also. One can hire professional photographer for pics. Though charges are at higer side by photographer. Price of the stay is on higher side. The quality of food is also average. Food is veg only. The dining are is big and remains crowded during breakfast and lunch or dinner. There is no phone in tent but you can call reception. One can move in tent via e-rickshaw. In the evening after dinner, there is culture activity like songs, dance and yoga next day at 6:30 am. One can take stunning pics inside tent in night. Climate is quite dry and temperature is high in afternoon.

It was entire a different and wonderful experience staying at tent city, rann. Spread over a vast area tent city environment and layout was so gigantic arranged in heritage style gave us a feel of staying in village. Though too costly, we really loved it. Food was ok. No live counters such as dosa, utpam. Potatoes were missing from a loo paratha. butter put for breads was not amul, rather bad. Courtesy extended by dinning area was remarkable. Battery autos were of no use, running mostly emptied here and there. When it was fix that after dinner we had to move at cultural program site, then management should have taken care to arrange requisite numbers of autos there to reach program site. We reached there walking. Morning tea wala at 6 a. M. Was of no use, primarily one could not hear him due to sleep and if heard, then till the guest came out chaywala had reached too far. Moreover this morning tea was not less than rubbish. There is no room service. However ignoring these issues we enjoyed a lot. A nice experience.

Do not worry about investing in package as it is worth the money. This was my first visit to rann utsav with my parents and it was the best experience. The staff and evoke management services are the best and well mannered and helpful. The process of check in is very smooth. You will be guided at the entry for hassle free luggage pick up and drop at your respective tent. There are golf carts available for travel inside the tent city. The tents are well furnished and washrooms are also neat and clean. The activity inside tent city is a must to be attended especially the culture activity at night, the market area with local handicraft items and of course the visit to white rann. The package included free breakfast, lunch, high tea and dinner and must say the quality of food is excellent and great variety. The price for one night is worth for money. This trip is highly recommended for everyone to experience it once in life. Highly satisfied and will cherish this experience.

Stayed in cluster m no. 27. The tent city is indeed fabulous and very well organised. Apart from seeing places around - trips part of and arranged by tent city- one must keep one day spare to spend time within tent city and in adjacent market which is also huge. This market is just outside of the tent city premises. For the most part it’s a great experience but we must mention that the tents and toilets were somewhat dirty and the entire area somewhat smelly-toilets in particular. Thankfully during ones short stay there’s plenty to do outside but one would not like to spend more time in the tent than absolutely necessary. Could do with better lighting too. Both in room and bathroom. There are different categories of tents available and the top end or the clusters closer to centre may be better. Cluster m avoid. Also water pressure is low. Accom standard would rate 3 star but food, excursions, all travel arrangements are superb.

I took a 3 days and 2 night package. Starting with 1) tents are too good neat and clean, weather is usually around 12 degree outside but inside tents it’s much hotter. Only drawback children plays a lot and tend to hurt themselves as there is no fixed fixtures but then u have to bear it if you need to have a feel of tent. 2) food is pure veg and spread is good but yes don’t expect north indian tadka will be less spicy. 3) n no of activities and all are worth it to enjoy and you will surely miss a few, cannot be covered in 3 days. 4) try to check in as per there timing i. E reach anyhow by 12. 30 pm to tent city which will give u extra day, we were late and reached by 4 pm first day due to which missed a few.

Excellent place! We had a great time with family. The Tent City is once in a lifetime visit for sure. The campus has been designed for selfie takers/ social media fanatics as it has so many beautiful places to click photos. The management and staff are quite good and friendly. The food was equally amazing, don’t expect any non-veg which was appreciated. The White desert trip organizend by the management every evening was an amazing experience with camel ride and many other activities. Don’t forget to attend music and cultural activities at 9 in The night after dinner. Worth every second of your time. Go enjoy and have fun with your family!!

We booked a 3 night package. Overall ambience, food and facilities were really good. Trip to dholavira on the second day were memorable. We visited sunset, sunrise and full moon in rann. Cultural activities were good to give glimpses of gujarat. Overall pick up and drop as per planning. Few improvements: 1) nights were cold and tent gets colder. They should arrange bonfire for each cluster every night so people can enjoy together for some time 2) for full moon long bus queues can be avoided if two buses used for pick up 3) for non ac tent tea cattle should be provided as cost of stay is high

I had a great time with my family in tent city. Excellent food and great service. I will recommend this place to my friends and family.

One of the best time to visit rann. The tent city is one of the premium of all the tent. There are different cluster of tent with all facilities inside tent including shopping and other activities. Food is very tasty. Just ensure for babies it's suggted to carry some munchies as they have fix time for food. Tents are very clean with hot water available. If you are going in jean to feb pols carry cold cloths as during morning weather goes around 11 degrees

Tent were good, equipped with all essentials. However tent were old and damaged at some location. Food was excellent, hygiene in dinner hall was excellent. Transport from reception to tent location & tent city to white desert was excellent. In short it is really great experience staying at tent. Communication to each occupant was very efficient.
