Rater Tara Diner Rabi Guest House

We just returned from our 2 day visit, would like to write a review while the memories are still fresh. Firstly, the location of the property is very good. Its very near to prantik railway station ( around 1 km ). Places like syambati bazar is also very close. Among the tourist attractions sonajhuri ha-at is close but the university campus is a little far ( around 3 kms. The area is very quiet and you can enjoy nature. Good for people who would like to visit with elderly members of the family or would like to spend a weekend away from the hustle of city life. Coming to the rooms, they are clean. Some of the rooms have little privacy so you may need to keep your windows closed all times. But they have a very large balcony overlooking the garden in first floor where you can spend a good amount of lie-surly time. Coming to the staff, they are very friendly and well behaved. But do not expect a 5 star like service. More close to like a homestay. Special mention mr manager, who always took care so that the guests are not under served during breakfast, lunch, dinner. For commute they can arrange a tot o service for you if you are not coming with a personal vehicle. If you are coming with a personal vehicle there is provision for car parking inside the property premises. Coming to last but not the least, food. They always make their food fresh and do not serve anything stale. So for lunch and dinner you need to notify them early. We didn't know about this on our first day so had to take lunch outside. If you take complimentary breakfast package you will normally get puri sabji, but if you request them the night before, they can make bread butter omlet or roti as well. The food is homely and again do not expect anything fancy. Not much expensive, for example the veg meal thali outside costed around 170, they charged 175. Overall our stay was good and would rate them a 4/5.

Location of the property is very good - khowai haat, university, kopai river view point, deer park are all near by. Infamously famous "apa" bunglow is two furlong away ! rooms and bathrooms are spacious. Property owner is an educated gentleman and art connoisseur - you will see reflection in different wall hang paintings. Their flower garden and kitchen garden is huge with variety of species. They serve morning complimentary tea and biscuits. Breakfast is typically bengali style"luchi" and "alur bati chori". In lunch and dinner they have traditional bengali veg meal/fish meal/egg meal/chicken meal mutton meal. You have to order ahead. Food quality and taste is authentic, superb and fresh. Sone time they use fresh kitchen garden produce and serve homely prepared yoghurt( curd. All staffs are friendly and we'll mannered. I will recommend this property.

This is more of a homestay/ guest house rather than a Rater Tara Diner Rabi Guest House. Its a bit far from bolpur station but near to prantik station. The place is fabulous with well maintained garden and lots of greenery all around. First floor rooms are better since there is a huge verandah where you can relax. The service is a bit slow and the rooms are small though all amenities like ac fan dbl bed hot water etc are there, some maintenance is needed for the taps and shower since hot water does come with difficulty. Food is a grade here and not very expensive, bfast is 100 rupees for bread butter/eggs/banana/tea and local sweet. You can switch bread for poori bhaji bengali style. Linch dinner is too good and prices are reasonable.

Really nice stay here, location is easy to find out and very near to prantik station. Rooms are good with traditional furniture and attire. Food quality is something to be mentioned separately. Purely homely food with perfect taste and hygiene. Staff behavior is really good and they're always ready to help you. Parking facility is there and a well maintained garden is there to greet you and your family. I'll definitely recommend my friends and family to come here again and again.
It was ok but not satisfactory.

It's 15 minutes from bolpur railway station but close to deer park and sonajhuri haat. I stayed here for a couple of days with my parents, and i loved the places for the below reason 1. Well maintained, the manager takes care of the place and has a well decorated garden 2. Manager assisted me with transport so that i can roam around shantiniketan 3. The food was amazing i would recommend everyone to stay here as the manager (haren) is an amazing host. He made me feel welcome and was very friendly.

It is a beautiful place filled with greenery and highly maintained. The rooms are clean and spacious and the location of the Rater Tara Diner Rabi Guest House is the best. It is just 7 mins away from prantik railway station and 1. 4 km away from sonajhuri haat. There are many shops nearby like medicine, grocery, tea, stationary etc. The Rater Tara Diner Rabi Guest House staff are really helpful and well behaved. The breakfast is best here and food also tastes great. Will surely stay here again.

Food quality- om g outstanding. Too good. So tasty. Quality & quantity damn good. Fresh warm tasty. What else u need. Behavior of the staffs are very good. Owner is also very nice person
Safety wise no issue. But one thing that i noticed 1st time owner asked me to use there lock & keys & to hand over whenever we go out. So for me that's a security concern because as a guest i would like to use my own personal lock & keys. That's the only concern for me

Wonderful stay. The management behaviour was impressive. The food quality and taste were amazing. I would definitely recommend. The outside decors and garden were beautifully managed. Near to all tourist attractions and away from city hustle.

A place of worth of stay with a note, value for money. The surroundings are also good and free from crowd hassle.

Property maintains a, decent garden, courteous staff, fresh homely food. Location of property is in posh locality. Linens were clean.

Location of the Rater Tara Diner Rabi Guest House is great. It was a pleasant stay. Staffs were very good, child friendly. Food was also tasty but costly.

The place was beautiful, had a rustic vibe to the decorations and was very peaceful. The staff was courteous and helpful. Would be going to stay here when visiting next time, especially with family. Food was homelike and reasonably priced.

The staffs were very friendly and the atmosphere here is so serene and calm. A perfect stay place if you have a child. The food is very homely and the room service is great. This was the first time i stayed here, and i look forward to stay here more!

Room size is not so spacious. This is the problem our guests reports. Hotel provide mosquito net, that very helpful. Food is good.

Room and bathroom is clean and spacious too. Staffs are helpful and friendly, food is delicious. In short we enjoyed our stay. Only problem is lizard
