Raya's Grand

Raya's grand is part of the raya's group of properties that has been in the hospitality and restaurant industry in kumbakonam for over 50 years. Raya's grand is conveniently located near the mahamaham tank and has a great veg restaurant within. The rooms are spacious and adequately clean. Room service is excellent. Parking is also secure and spacious. Shows some signs of aging, but nothing to complain. Great for family stay with connected rooms and suites

Room was good and big. One annoying factor is that every staff from room boy to security, expecting tips every time. This is very obvious and they expect tips every time you happen to pass them. Management should address this. We can give at the time of check out and not every time we go out and come in. Order one coffee via room service, person delivers and expect tips. This is very annoying. All others are fine with the Raya's Grand.

Rayas Grand was an elixir of stay with the room being neat. Beds comfortable and amenities provided. The food which was not part of the Raya's Grand but affiliated was very good. The room was spacious in a way but I was surprised when they gave just a kettle of hot water during the morning without any ready made packets to drink (beverages) with.

Premium a/c room was quite spacious and can accommodate 3 adults easily. We stayed for 3 days and took two interconnected rooms. Amenities were good, and staff was courteous and prompt in their service. Location is also perfect for sightseeing and going to various temples within kumbakonam.

Centrally located, convenient especially for temple tour. Rooms are well maintained with good room service. First time i saw food is brought in hot case. Coffee is available to room as early as 5:30 am. A/c works. Restaurant serves tasty food. Good front desk people.

Good middle class Raya's Grand. Lot of improvement over my previous visits. Still scope form improvement in terms of service. Rooms have only but no tea/ coffee etc 😀😀. Staff are friendly. Food in the restaurant is good quality.

Room predictable as on earlier visits. Room spacious. Hindu newspaper in the morning great for senior citizens. Location central restaurant rice n spice is reasonably ok for kumbakonam standards. Hot water kettle in room useful

Ray-as grand is a spacious room, clean, well. Maintained. Food at the restuarant is good and service is excellent. Close to main temples, it is ideal. For those staying in temple town and wanting to visit temples around

Location is excellent. Food served in hot pack excellent. Value for money. They are putting papers daily of our choice which the Raya's Grand staffs collect at the time. E of booking. Nice arrangement.

Good property in centre of the town. Rooms were clean and good. The restaurant was a bit off, not a part off, the property though. Since we visited during holidays the staffing was low.

The property was located close to all the temples, the rooms were clean a d the staff were helpful.

The rooms are very clean & staff is very helpful & coordinating, they helped us with local travel. The Raya's Grand is located centrally, can reach all temples very fast.
