Resort appearance: we found this place while looking for a stay near bekal fort. It was a last moment plan and somehow got this. It looked a bit different and as it was named island we thought it was just a fancy name. But when we were reaching near we called the property and they mentioned about arranging boats before we reach. We got confused and we reached the resort it was literally an island surrounded by thejaswini river. We got excited. We cannot go till the end of the resort. We need to park our vehicles on the other end of the river. They had one small boat and a pulling type of boat. We reached there and found it was a very nice and calm place. Rooms:
there are only a few rooms inside the resort. 2 on each side of the island. They are very well maintained and the shape of the room is like a pentagon. They have built it with glass kind of walls from which you can directly see the river flowing. Surrounding and activities:
the river was awesome crystal clear and clean to play or swim. It's very shallow and water will only come to your waist almost everywhere you go(may vary on peak monsoon. They provide kayaking as well at an extra cost. Food:
food was really good there. They themself will prepare authentic kerala food based on your requirements. As we were vegetarians they served a variety and different kerala style dishes. Authorities:
the owner and guardians there were very humble and friendly. They made sure we were comfortable and feeling happy. My conclusion:
i highly recommend this place for all kinds of people to visit and enjoy the beautiful and unique resort.
