Resort Rio

The property is huge, beautiful and offers a variety of rooms starting from its standard deluxe rooms going on to luxury villas. It has a 24hr cafe and bar, 2 restaurants - pickled mango and jalsa (awarded multiple times, 2 large swimming pools and a spa. It will soon also innaugrate its convention centre which was under renovation making it one of the best destination wedding venues in goa. The food was really tasty at pickled mango but prices were higher. It gets even more costlier when you prefer in-room dining facility wherein one appetizer could cost you as much as 750-800 incl taxes. The deluxe standard rooms were missing out on a few basic things and the Resort Rio could perhaps think on putting them in place - cloth hangers behind the doors as we were struggling to dry our wet towels, luggage rack which i think is a must-have for a 5 star property. The staff were very friendly.

We went on a family trip to goa and choose to stay at resort rio. The resort is very conveniently situated with taxi rentals nearby. All major beaches like baga, candolim, anjuna are neaby. Good Resort Rios are also close by (check zomato or ask locals. The staff at the resort is very attentive: for ex: an elder member in the family required wheel chair assistance. After using the wheel chair on day 1, we did not have to tell the concierge again as mr. Satish was around to help us out. All floors are accessible via elevators which is missing in a lot of properties in goa (had called and checked multiple places. This was important for us as we had kids and senior citizens with us. The buffet spread was also good. Overall a great experience.

Its a great property and really well maintained for which the entire credit should be given to the staff. The rooms are very spacious and clean, special thanks to babaji and pritam from housekeeping for keeping the room soo neat. The breakfast offers a great variety and good taste overall. Although it should be mentioned if special day rates cannot be combined with 20% fnb discount. They do charge you for an early checkin and it was communicated to me well in advance. I wish they consider this policy of chargeable early checkin and try to reduce the rates. Overall its a great place for all types of travellers and in close proximity to baga.

Rooms are good but not as spacious as we see in the photos, the property was undergoing some renovation while we were there, so could not explore much. Food was good, wanted to explore jalsa restaurant but it wasn't open due to renovation work. Staff is very polite and helpful and i appreciate them for their patience and good work. Room service and in-room dining services were also good. However, i feel the check-in and check-out can be handled better, it took a lot of time and the place was very crowded and unorganised. Apart from that, i loved everything.

I like this place as it not far or not near the crowded baga road and the beach and also has a easy access to anjuna. Rooms are very spacious, check in was smooth was in my room in less than 10 mins, was worried looking at past reviews. It will be a perfect for a family stay. Surprising element was food, their food is as goan as you can get i can easily compare goan food like britto and souza lobo's. Try their goan fish/prawn curry rice etc. This will remain as my preferred resort for my stay in north goa.

The room is very spacious for a family with two children. Very big rooms with pool view lobby. Breakfast is good with lot of options as expected in a five star property. Property located just one km from hustle and bustle of calangute beach which makes it worth staying. Pool is excellent with lot of games for children in pool. Reception staff, housekeeping, bell boys are very cool, calm and courteous. Gym was closed for some unknown reasons, not expected at all. Overall a place worth going with family.

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of Resort Rio. Everything about the Resort Rio was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

Excellent stay. Nicely built and well maintained. Entire area is super clean and room services are excellent. You may feel this is overpriced but it really worth it. Two pools are there in total for the guests. Breakfast was super delicious and many many varieties. I would suggest this to all my friend just a note: i did not see any cloth hangings or hooks inside the washroom. When i reported this they have provided a movable cloth hanging unit immediately.

Property is very well managed and the staff is super courteous. Mr. Francisco - the restaurant manage went an extra mile to make our stay comfortable and memorable. My kids enjoyed thoroughly and we had an amazing family time. Thank you for making it a great stay!

Went for a weekend getaway, pleasant place. Only problem is that none of the phone numbers mentioned are working.

We enjoyed our stay in the rio resort for 3d2n. Location is great. Our room balcony view was great. They provided all the amenities in the room. Food was also very tasty. Overall we loved our stay at rio resort. Thanks.

Great food, courteous staff and nice rooms

Simple sorted and settled, good property. Spacious room 700 sqft 2 suites 3 days stays was simple and peaceful, old property but maintained cleanliness, room dining is bit on expensive side compared to the property

We had a great time over here. I would highly recommend this property. Everything was perfect like food, hygiene, historic style ambience and swimming pool as well.
