I stayed in akash residency, ludhiana after a hectic day and i was with my wife. There was no power and i was told acs don’t run on generator. Had to haggle with the staff to get bed sheets, pillows etc changed. They don’t even supply drinking water. I suppose, the management need to be more efficient and responsive. The location of the hotel is in a residential block and they don’t have any space where guests can relax. My impression was that the staff members who were on duty aren’t paid well and they aren’t motivated to attend to the guests with a smile. I would conclude that the management needs to pay more attention. We were there for one night only, and left next day early in the morning, hence not a big problem.

Worst hotel experience ever

1. The receptionist girl is very rude. She lacks manners totally. 2. The hotel has some illogical policy that cars must be parked facing the hotel ! i parked my car in the designated parking area with the back of the car towards the hotel, so that i don't have to reverse into the busy main road after half an hour. The reception girl and one person created a lot of chaos over it. When i asked them why is the car to be parked facing the hotel, they said it's supposed be like that. No logic, only arguing. 3. You can stand even 4 feet away from the persons at the reception and talk to them, but they will not hear you as all day they are busy staring and gaping at a tv in the reception. Clearly for them, their tv is more important than the customer. 4. The hotel has no restaurant. We ordered dinner from the menu card placed in the room. They get the food from a hotel nearby. Despite telling them specifically, the roti's came burnt and black. They were shown to the reception girl. We had to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes, to get fresh roti's ! 5. We asked for curds. Smelly curds was provided. It was shown to the reception girl. 6. The hotel has an odd rule that morning bed-tea will be served only after 9 am ! despite telling them the previous evening that we need tea at 7 am, and personally reminding them in the morning at 7 am, 7. 30 am, 8 am, 8. 30 am and 9 am, we finally got a simple cup of tea at 9. 15 am ! 6. They make tea in a small kitchenette in the corridor. I was shocked to see that while making tea, the maid sneezed directly into the tea pan ! this is their sense of hygiene ! overall it was the worst experience of a hotel i had in last 5 decades ! the main point was the rude and mannerless reception girl.
