I stayed at Aloha on the Ganges for one night and was disappointed, especially considering it’s part of the , the room was basic with a blocked bathroom drain and no river view (that would cost ₹10,000 extra). The only good thing was the view of the Ganges, but access to the river was via a kucha road with no shuttle service.
Customer service was terrible—I waited 7 hours for a callback and all they could offer was a generic apology. Activities like archery are overpriced (₹300 for one round), and the food was average at best. Dining with a view was only available at an à la carte restaurant, which meant extra costs.
Overall, the hotel felt more like a budget stay than a luxury resort. I’ve stayed at several high-end properties across India, but never felt so scammed. Wouldn’t recommend.
