I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent experience and the way the situation was handled by MakeMyTrip’s platform and customer service. Upon reaching the first booked property, I found no one at the gate, and none of the provided contact numbers were reachable, despite trying multiple times over 15 minutes. This left me stranded at midnight in an unfamiliar town, which was extremely distressing and unsafe. I immediately contacted MakeMyTrip Customer Service, who assured me that I could go ahead and book another nearby hotel. Trusting this advice, I proceeded to book another hotel — Hotel Platinum, Pehowa — again through your platform. Shockingly, the same issue occurred at this property too: no staff were available to check me in, and no contact was reachable. This left me completely helpless, stranded late at night with no accommodation, and forced to manage everything on my own. I expect a certain level of reliability and safety when booking through a reputed platform like MakeMyTrip, but these incidents have shown an alarming lack of responsibility and vendor verification. This is not just inconvenient — it is completely unethical and raises serious concerns about the legitimacy of listings on your platform. If a hotel cannot accommodate guests, why is it even available for booking? I demand: 1. Full refund for both failed bookings. 2. Compensation for the mental and physical inconvenience caused to me. 3. An immediate review and action against these properties to prevent future mishaps for others. If this issue is not resolved promptly and transparently, I will be left with no choice but to file a complaint with the Consumer Forum and bring this to the attention of relevant authorities and public forums. Pure Sarkaari Attitude!?
I travelled to Pehowa to perform the last rites of an immediate family member - unfortunately booked this place on wrong dates.Stayed there a few weeks earlier & requested them to refund my future booking - still charged me fully. The letter submitted to them was not forwarded by local staff to higher authorities. The local staff utilised my booking to entertain personal guests as they knew we won't be travelling
