Backwoods B&B Mall Road Shimla

Comfortable BnB Hotel. Nice and quiet locality with good balcony views. Situated very near to the CM’s House and Secretariat offices. Pros- # Rooms are good with amenities and balcony view is nice. # Affordable Rates. # Nearby around 1 Km to Mall Road, The Ridge, middle Bazaar and lower Bazaar ( centre of Shimla ) # Good hosts with help in booking Taxi and provide guidance. Cons- # slight Challenge to carry Luggage from the main road to this place. Travellers with heavy luggage may find it difficult. Steps Staircase from Main road to Backwoods B&B Mall Road Shimla . # Food is vegetarian with limited options. # No two wheeler or four wheeler parking at the location # Reception and rooms are very close to each other leading to even very low noises being heard both ways 😉 P.S- Taxi Charges in Shimla are very high. One way drop from bus stand to this place is charged around Rs500 . Sightseeing charges may vary from 1100 to anything above.

The property is located away from the hustle bustle of the mall road at a quiet neighborhood. It would take you about 15 minutes to reach the mall road by foot. The staff were polite, well-behaved. However, i wasn't quite pleased with the layout of the Backwoods B&B Mall Road Shimla. There were four rooms very close to the reception area and we were staying in one of them. The noise from the reception filtered into our room all the time, including pretty early in the morning. Also, the room in which we stayed (one with a balcony) was tinier than we expected. The bathroom didn't have enough space for one to sit on the toilet bowl comfortably. They should really look into expanding the size of the rooms in the ground floor. The view from the balcony, however, was quite good.

Backwoods is a nice property located in serene surroundings & green forest on one end of the mall road (mall road is a long road, near the cm residence. The staff are very cooperative and courteous towards the guests. Main market area of mall road is at a short walk of 15 minutes from the property. The walk is a pleasant one. Hygiene is maintained and its spic-n-span. Its easily approachable by car from chota shimla side and one has to barely walk for 50 meters from the car drop point at cm beat box. Pratha & tea are good and served hot. The staff is energetic and suppotive! overall a nice stay at backwoods!

We stay at backwoods home stay, shimla from 5 jun e 23 to 7 jun e 23. Hotel is very beautiful and cozy, well cleaned. 10-12 minutes walk from mall road. Hotels stay was extremely good. You will definitely appreciate their efforts, specially amit sharma. They don't have a restaurant, but they will provide you tea coffee maggie and you can order food from their and they also have microwave. The only disappointed was parking as it was an restricted area and cars are not allowed. Otherwise 5 out of 5 star's. But the staff and owner is operative and provide you every possible help.

I stayed here for two individual nights with balcony view room. Very good rooms, the host was very friendly and helped with information regarding local shopping, arranging a cab while checking out. If you are opting for balcony view room, ask if 202 is available. There is a small trail walk behind the property; worth a stroll in the morning. This property is located very near to cm residence. So, security wise you don’t need to think twice. Also, walkable distance from mall road, ridge, lift, lower bazaar etc. Overall, amazing experience. Thanks to ricky, the host!

Overall very good and recommended for anyone who is looking for a value for money stay in a nice, well thought of cozy setup. Pros - extremely helpful staff, peace full environment, 5 min walk to mall road, you can get food from outside and they will re-heat for you, good view of trees and greenery, bhk sort of setup where you have a separate room from bedroom from additional person stay or to party. Cons - linen though clean was old, not for folks who want a clean mountain view, limited menu (no non-veg food but they can reheat for you if you bring from outside)

Booked family room with balcony. 4adults, 2nights. Very good rooms & good staff. I liked it. But u have to walk, down stairs, not recommended for elders. No space for car & no entry to taxi and u have to bit struggle carrying bags or ask staff to help. It was okay for us as shimla s hill station. They gave quality food but limited options. No-boy mentioned in reviews but to tell exactly it took 20mins walk on mall road to reach restaurants when we wanted outside food & as mall road its walking only. Otherwise, it was great budget quality stay.

The host rahul is a very good person and they arranged car for transfer to manali and the driver was very nice person and good human being and very good driver. Bt the location is far away from mall road. And the Backwoods B&B Mall Road Shimla staff are very polite. When you entered the Backwoods B&B Mall Road Shimla you have to walking 30 more stairsthis is too much irritating if you have any knee problems. Otherwise the Backwoods B&B Mall Road Shimla is good and room are neat and clean washroom is very beautiful and the room is spacious.

The rooms were spacious and excellent. The caretaker was very hospital and the food was delicious. The location is near to all the main attractions of shimla.

Overall the experience was good at all ,Staff was very friendly and specially thanks to Mr Rahul who made my trip wonderful…

Excellent property

This property is situated on walking distance from mall road. Room was big and spacious. Service provided by amit was amazing. Cab facility provided by them was comparatively lower than market rates.

The staff is very helpful l and they maintain the proper hygiene in Backwoods B&B Mall Road Shimla and rooms

Hotel was very nice and had all the facilities like blanket was there and extra room was also there. Washroom was good it had hot water service. The only issue was the stairs and location. Actually this is in chotta shimla so a bit interior and Backwoods B&B Mall Road Shimla has high stairs so if someone is old so maybe a bit problem for them. But this Backwoods B&B Mall Road Shimla was really good and also staff were very nice. So i would say u can definitely stay here.

The staff is very helpful, the rooms are spacious with a beautiful view. The Backwoods B&B Mall Road Shimla is at a decent location walking distance from mall but reaching here initially can be a lil tricky
