City Central Hostel, Kolkata

While booking i was a little concerned about the property. But on arrival, my perception changed as it was exactly the same as shown in the pics, clean and tidy beds, hygienic washroom, modern kitchen with all amenities where you can cook at no extra cost although the breakfast is complimentary( healthy items) the staff members aman, bikash das, the owner mr vikash and other staff members (undisclosed names) are very cooperative and decent in behaviour. The rules of the house for boarders are quite acceptable and simple. I strongly recommend people to visit the place as you too will have the same opinion. Not only that it's centrally located and well connected. So come and have the experience.

Overall experience was good. Cleanliness and hygiene is properly maintained. The only fault that i found in the room was that it was missing bed lamps or even night lights. So in the dormitory, it becomes pitch dark after you switch off main lights & you might stuck your feet with one of the bed posts & get hurt. One more thing is the person at reception wasn't hospitable enough to make our entry in time & asked us to sit for quite half an hour long. Instead of conveying us the message he started having his lunch that made us delay our schedule. So they should have an extra employee to receive the guests. That's it.

Where to share review. It was fantastic experience with city central hostel kolkata. The cleanliness and hygenic. But few suggestions are there. 1. There are no manners and behaviour sense with the newly joined host (not vikas. 2. I told many times to repair gyser/heater in my room but host didn't show any interest. 3. Washing and drying charges are too high. 100 for washing that is okay buy 100 for drying? 4. No mirror in room or washroom. 5. There should be variety in breakfast. (there are only bread and butter everyday)

Its near howrah station and bridge. One metro station is nearby, buses are available just downstairs. Location 5/5. They are providing the same simple breakfast everyday as they mentioned on their website. 4/5. Air conditioning was there, which was really important for me, cause the day i went is not ideal weather. What i liked most is the cleanliness. Even though its a shared space, the entire place is clean and the washrooms are well maintained. Thanks for that.

This hostel is absolutely best in kolkata for boys And for girls it may be little bit uncomfortable just beacause as per i saw there were more boys into it but again if she is going she will adapt in a day or less than that I was very glad to stay 2 days The hostel is as it is in the picture same ti same very clean washroom very family freind co travellers and staffs over all i startes feeling to stay some more days with them really thanks ❤️

This hostel is good. He gave me early check in for free. It was hygienic and spotless. Regular basis cleaning. Washroom were good. Location is perfect near to college street. Amazing wifi connection. Breakfast you can eat there or make your own. Host was kind. Felt safe being a solo female traveller. Just go for this hostel blindly. Unlike other hostel in kolkata which have cleaning issue attitude issue location issues.

The hostel is at a walkable distance from sealdah railway station located on the bank of Mahatma Gandhi road...best staying place if you are a solo traveller or travelling Kolkata for your personal purpose... Dormitories are very good here...well maintained & clean ...this was my 2nd time staying here & I will keep staying here for my Exams... You can definitely try it... thank me later

Excellent, Staff behaviour also good

My stay at city central hostel is simply great. The rooms and beds are very neat and clean. They provided breakfast as a complimentary. People in the administration are very polite and friendly. The location also was pretty much easy to find. And the whole stay was budget friendly.

I just pick from makemytrip. It so good atmosphere and cleaned with friendly management. It is best place for solo travelers.

It was a great stay. The loaction was good as it was near the metro station. Thai beds were comfortable abed the place was clean. The staff was also friendly and it enhanced my travel experience.

The excellent rooms and better service, it's very comfortable for any kind of travellers.

Well furnished and clean room and bed and hygienic

Everything good experience. This is my second time. Only my problem is if they have free bed in lower side why they always provide bed in upper side.

It had clean room, & clean washroom. So stay was comfortable. Met people from different places.

I had a great experiance, staffs are very helpful, they gave me free tea, good and comfy beds, ac was working very good, good breakfast, clean bathrooms, you can definitely plan to stay here.
