Review Of Cliff and Coral Varkala, North Cliff

It was a fantastic experience staying at this property located right on the Varkala Cliff. I booked it through MakeMyTrip, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The real highlight was watching the sunset from the property's terrace.

We didn't eat food there....but stay was super...room and bathroom were clean ...had a comfortable stay

The common washrooms smelt terribly bad, and when we asked the manager, he said yeah, it is common so it would be like that. I mean come on man, it's part of your property, it needs to be cleaned as well. There weren't any toilet papers and no dustbins to throw female hygiene papers anywhere. The rooms were quite decent and the ambience is average. Another thing, you might feel the drinking water a bit off, it tasted really bad (with strong alum taste), so we had to buy packaged bottles for our 3 days of stay. Rest the property is situated at a cool place, just a minute walk to the north cliff market. Overall the stay was decent but the property needs to be managed well.

The stay could have been better in terms of services. There was no pantry area available to refill the bottle. Though having the good terrace view, small kitchen would have been nice to provide breakfast in the morning.

After reaching the property, mr John britto looks at my mom and says, sorry ma'am this property is only for people below 40. We were shocked as we were only ladies and not getting accomodation was a huge setback. He then took us to "Native by cliff and coral". The rooms were clean. But I didn't like the way we were sent off to another property citing age as a barrier.
