Desert Blue Pangong

Staying at the Desert Blue cottages, located at the edge of the Pangong Lake in the scenic Maan village was a divine experience. The owners must be complimented for their complete attention to detail that made our stay a truly memorable experience. Each cottage is both aesthetically appealing and fully equipped to handle extreme vagaries of nature at an altitude of 14000 ft above the sea level. The bathroom is super clean and fully equipped with top notch toiletries. The bunk bed is nice and comfy. The large glass window directly overlooks the magnificent Pangong Lake. The cottage even has a nice sun roof that allows for a beautiful star gazing experience in the tranquil night. The dining experience is excellent, with quality and wholesome breakfast served with much love and care. Come to the Desert Blue to savour a truly divine, world-class experience

I booked this hotel and one day before the check-in my daughter got badly I’ll due to low oxygen and doctor at Nubra didn’t recommend us to travel. I requested a refund through mmt but hotel didn’t cater. I think in this situation hotel should consider the situation and not full but partial amount should be refunded. I won’t book this hotel in the future even if i visit pangong once again.

Location - great Food - preparation need much improvement. Facilities are Ok Helping staff . Very neat and clean .

The food is not that great. They don’t serve any authentic Ladakhi dishes. The options for breakfast and dinner are very limited. The view is good as it is located very close to the lake. The rooms feel a claustrophobic as the rooms are very small

Location is excellent, with direct view and access within 500m to the lake. The room was excellent and very cosy. However, from 12mn to 5am in the morning there was no power supply. Thus the room heaters were not working at a temperature of -5 degrees C, The oxygen concentrator in the room had also stopped working and so did the room service phone. During the same time, the mobile services are switched and one is left to fend for themselves and hope for the best. The food was quite satisfactory in remote place like this and the attendants were always helpful always with a smile.

Very small room and they switch off the power by 12 midnight. Not much offered in breakfast so on.. horrible wifi

We paid 3.5x what other hotels in the area charged, because the hotel advertised Wi-Fi and power backup. The hotel does not have functional Wi-Fi. In fact, the manager tried to dissuade us from even taking the Wi-Fi password because it was of low quality. The room was nice and the bathroom was small but usable. Good water temperature, given that it was freezing outside. Food was very good. But I didn't pay that much more for this property to have no access to Wi-Fi, when it is advertised heavily.

We had booked for one night at Desert Blue. The property is super cozy- Blue cabins heated well 15-20 degrees up from outside. Great management by staff, super polite and friendly staff. Absolute shout out to Mr. Rishi for making our stay super comfortable. This place is like haven from freezing cold to providing you great panoramic view of Pangong Tso lake from the cabin itself. They have oxygen concentrator and thermostat in the rooms with really up class bathroom essentials. A hair dryer would be a great add on. The property is located next to Pangong lake say 100 meters. Its the only property adjacent to the lake with 4 star facilities. Food is really good. Shoutout to all the staff for making a comfortable stay for us.

room size is too short .....and food option are also limited.....if they asked 20000 for one night so atleast provide some more options on dinner and barkefast....the quality of room is good but the washroom size and room size is too short.So plz less the room cost

Great location, warm and cozy room! the best you can get in pangong

Great stay in dessert blue. View from hotel room is insanely beautiful and it’s less than 100 mtr from lake, so you can easily walk to lake and spend sometime there. Room is compact but very well organised and has everything you need in the room. Room was warm and cozy at night. Electricity (generator powdered) is available from 6 pm to 11 pm and 6 am to 10 am. However, it’s not pitch dark out side as there are lights which are solar powered both inside and outside rooms. Wi-fi is there but connection isn’t strong so don’t expect much on that lines but i feel it’s okay as it’s same conditions across the area. Food was good and fresh. High quality toiletries and foot wear for inside room was provided. Only thing is i have to add is they could provide a kettle with tea bags in rooms which was missing. But wasn’t a deal breaker for us.

A total ripoff for the cost being paid. Only good part is the location of the camp. Let's start with issues 1. No manager available at camp, as per caretaker manager is at leh (5 hrs drive. It looks like owner has no concern how the camp is being run. Left to cooks to run the show. 2. No registration done, no entry into register 3. Nothing about camp and rooms was explained or told to us. 4. Camp has a deserted look. 5. Oxygen concentrator provided in room but doesn't work, power cable removed. 6. No way to contact any one in the camp as no intercom available. It's pitch dark outside at night 7. Food was the most terrible part. We paid 25k for each room and food provided was very basic and took long time to prepare. In evening they only started to prepare after we checked in and took them 4 hours. Taste wise not worth the money. In morning breakfast was only a loo parantha served with aachar. 9. No indoor games like cards, chess etc available 10. No wifi in the camp 11. Rooms were having modern design with star gazing roof but no heating available, water heating works till light is there, room gets stuffy with no means of ventilation if the price of room was in the range given by other camps then it would have been ok, but for the price paid it's a ripoff. U may have a modern design but if there is no service then it's worthless. Not recommended

Excellent stay. 5 resort and 5 star treatment. Lavish food, great staff and clean room. We will definitely recommend this property to my upcoming friends, who are visiting ladakh. Thanks deep u for your hospitality

Our stay at desert blue was wonderful. We didn't expected it to be so clean. Stunning view of the lake and hospitable and smiling staff. Highly recommended and i will surely be back to this place again
