I stayed at Devi Villa near Chandpole, and it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! The location is absolutely prime — right in the heart of the city, with everything just a short walk away. The balcony view is stunning, you don’t even need to visit any separate lake-view hotels — the view from the room itself is amazing. The owner, Mr. Ganpat, is extremely friendly and helpful, and his wife deserves to be called a master chef — the food she makes is unbelievably tasty and feels like home. The nearby markets stay open till late, making the area lively and convenient. If you’re reading this review and still thinking twice, don’t! You won’t find a better hotel in this budget — perfect location, great view, delicious food, and amazing hospitality. Highly recommended!

This is the best stay I ever had. People here are very supportive and always ready to help you with everything. Each and every tourist spot is max 30 mins away from this location. You can easily get everything scooty, medicine, any decorative materials like magnet n all. Lovely experience will definitely come again

Everything was beyond expectations

The stay was the BEST part of our trip. My friends and I booked the 3-bed room for cheap, however, the room, bedding and washroom was very clean and all the basic necessities were available such as charging points, hot water kettle, iron, etc. Mr. Aditya Chouhan and his family were indeed very hospitable and accommodating. When our clothes and shoes got wet in the heavy rains, they graciously allowed us to use their terrace to dry our items in the sunshine the next day. They were very kind to cook us Laal Maans (Spicy Rajasthani mutton curry) at short notice since my friends and I wanted to taste Laal Maans. The three of us unanimously agree that it was the BEST LAAL MAANS we ever had and it was WORTH EVERY RUPEE (around 600 per head, came along with chapatis and rice). DEFINITELY WILL RECOMMEND to anyone travelling to Udaipur. The place is slightly hard to find due to Udaipur's narrow streets (and hence, is a hidden gem), but google maps can help you out here.

We had a wonderful stay at Devi Villa! The lake view from our room was absolutely stunning and made our mornings so peaceful. The cleanliness of the place was top-notch — everything was spotless and well-maintained. The host was truly amazing — caring, friendly, and extremely helpful throughout our stay. He guided us perfectly about places to visit in Udaipur and even helped arrange an auto when we were leaving. It was raining heavily, yet he personally went out in the rain to make sure we got an auto safely — such a kind gesture that really touched us. Highly recommend Devi Villa to anyone visiting Udaipur. It’s not just a stay, it’s an experience filled with warmth and hospitality!

The property is beautiful and convenient, and we truly appreciate the warm hospitality—especially for allowing us to extend our stay. However, I found the payment process quite confusing and a bit frustrating. I initially paid then another 1k in advance, and later was charged 2k for less than a full day’s stay, plus an additional 2k plus for “security 500 ,” which I didn’t fully understand. While the service was good, the unclear and high charges for partial days were disappointing little bit..

I was treated like a family member in Devi Villa. Aunty made the best paranthas every morning and bhaiya took care of each and every need. The rooms were clean, and the view from the room was stunning every day. I would definitely recommend this place to solo women travelling to Udaipur. It's safe, it's comfortable and it's beautiful.

Home stay villa but good facility and lake view is a very nice

It was a very nice property on a lakeside. The property owner is very friendly. we have cute pets too, they won't disturb you at all. You can check with them if you are travelling with a pet. They also have a facility for Homemade food, you can check with them up on arrival about the charges.

1. He has dog which is always untied when you go inside or outside it may run behind you 2. I faced water problem - No water in bathroom - had to wait 30-40 minutes 3. The Entry location is so bad in a congested street 4. There is no intercom telephone to communicate 5. There is No Tv i side toom

Rooms are neat and clean, view is amazing. Outside area could have been more clean the only thing is room service, they do not provide room service and for big orders there is too much delay.

One of the best home stays I have ever stayed in. Directly on lake pichola, beautiful view from the balcony. Well spaced rooms, clean & maintained. The owner is very helpful and cooks some delicious home food on request.

here you a have good view of lake pichola. it is also in a centralized location so every major tourist spot is at most 3km away. the owners are nice and aajaio they have dogs so everytime you come back you will be gets with dogs wifi was nice.

The stay was quite comfortable and I got homely food. I was traveling with my kids and they also prepared required food for our kids. The room was quite clean and nearby all the walking places.

the rooms are spacious and with a good view of the lake. the location has excellent connectivity to the city. the owners are very sweet and provide amazing hospitality. you get delicious home cooked food. I would highly recommend this place for your stay at Udaipur.

I had an excellent experience during my stay at this homestay. The hospitality provided by the caretaker, Ganpat, was exceptional. He was always ready to assist and ensured we felt comfortable throughout our stay. The highlight of the experience was the delicious Rajasthani food prepared and served by his family. Each meal was authentic, fresh, and full of flavors. I truly appreciated their warm and welcoming attitude, which made the stay memorable.
