I had a wonderful stay at Down Town Hostel, Leh. It’s a nice and beautiful property with clean rooms and a well-maintained common area. The owner is very supportive and ensures guests feel comfortable. The only area of improvement would be the staff — they should be a bit more professional and learn to be more polite and helpful towards guests. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend this place for a comfortable stay in Leh.

Downtown hostel has such a nice staff! Had a very nice experience here. The bedding is super clean, so are the washrooms. The location of this hostel is also perfect. Walking distance from Leh market.

Great clean rooms. But washroom could be better maintained like rooms.

Amazing Stay at Downtown Hostel, Leh – Highly Recommended! I visited Ladakh from 3rd to 7th July and stayed at Downtown Hostel, which is conveniently located—just about 15 minutes from the airport and a 5 to 10-minute walk to Mall Road. The hostel truly exceeded my expectations. It's a great place to stay, offering a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. They provide plenty of recreational options like foosball, chess, carrom, UNO cards, a music system, and even a projector for entertainment. The food is good, and there are multiple clean shared washrooms, which made the stay very comfortable. One thing I appreciated most was their flexible early check-in policy, depending on room availability. The hosts are extremely friendly, chill, and easy to deal with—they really make you feel at home. Honestly, I don't think anyone could have a complaint about this hostel. I personally witnessed how well they manage everything and how attentive they are to guests' needs. If you're heading to Leh and looking for a reliable, fun, and comfortable place to stay—Downtown Hostel is a solid choice!

At midnight 12 am we reached and greeted well; also after a long bike riding of 450km we got a hot water shower is a pleasure!

The cafeteria was very nice and cozy place , the staff was really helpful and friendly . For the price it was a great accommodation

We stayed there for a day and it was an amazing experience. The hostel is near to the airport and located just next to Chubi Petrol pump. The ambience is nice and warm. Hotel staff specially Manisha was great, always smiling and very helpful. We took a 3 bed dormitory. Beds were nice and cozy. Blankets could be bit better. Food was good enough but with limited menu. Overall the stay was excellent considering the budget in which we stayed.

Very pleasant experience , The ambience of downtown and the receptionist Mrs. Jigmat was very kind and friendly and she made very good food also please try her maggie and tea Overall the experience was very brilliant.

At this cost very nice hotel the only thing was with separate room also the washrooms are outside overall experience was very good nice staff welcoming vibe food not recommended instead try neha snacks nice food

The rooms were clean but the toilet seat was broken. There is a cafeteria on top with a lot of games and open area but they did not have proper food options the people there were confused if they have anything to serve we ended up ordering omelette which didn't have salt in it. Excluding the food overall stay was pleasant.

The rooms were really hot at night. No fans. The manager is never present. It is run by 2 helpers and they are not really good. My washroom’s flush was not working and even after staying for 4nights, that was not fixed. Not recommending
