Review Of Dwivedi Hotels (Palace on Steps)

I went for 2 nights and people are ok while check out it was raining and people at the hotel didn’t provide any umbrella as you have walk for a km because property is not at the main road. Other thing never think people in UP are sweet actually they are sweet knife always make sure whenever you take a Rikshaw or auto confirm the price ten times also make a video if possible because when u reach your destination they will change the price as they tried couple of times with me

Hotel is good. Elderly people has to be cautious while booking because one has to walk almost 15 mins for everything. The view from hotel rooms are great. River view rooms and very able and courteous staffs.. All the hotel staffs are very good, jolly and are an asset to the Hotel. The hotel food is also good but the hotel being on hotel property needs a lot repair. The6 have assured us that the repair works will be started after the completion of building works in their upcoming hotel which is coming up just beside this property. Overall including the walk and room conditions I will rate it 4.1/5

Very good hotel to stay and to enjoy the view of the Ganga.Restaurant is also the Ganga facing .Quality of food is good.Enjoy the food seeing the beauty of the Ganga. Enjoy the walking through ghats.Only Disadvantages are that 10 minutes walk to reach the hotel through lane and no facility of lift.

During our recent weekend stay at Diwedi Hotel, Varanasi, we initially encountered an issue with the assigned room. However, the hotel staff responded promptly and efficiently by relocating us to a much superior accommodation. The upgraded room significantly enhanced our experience. The overall hospitality, food quality, and service delivery were exceptional, reflecting a clear commitment to guest satisfaction. We were thoroughly impressed with the courteous staff and the well-maintained property. A truly commendable experience deserving of a 5-star rating. Highly recommended for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Varanasi.

The room and balcony were small, with the balcony not ideal for sitting. The rent felt high for the amenities offered. However, the hotel staff were very supportive, and the food was excellent. The dining area was a highlight, offering a stunning Ganga view that made the overall stay enjoyable despite the compact space.

Very old property and not maintained properly. The lizards are inside the room and outside also. The rooms are not cleaned properly. Only benefit is the property is beside the ghat. The Dwivedi hotel property is very old property. It is not well maintained. Even the lizards are inside the room. Rooms are not cleaned and bathrooms are not up to mark. Only benefit is it is nearby ghats and the staff is very cooperative

room facilities need improvement,foods are gud in tasty and location vise gud and river front view are gud

nothing special except the ghat view,not recommended for family stay especially if u r travelling with kids as smoking n drinking is openly allowed,also u have to travel through dirty narrow streets to reach the hotel.Staff is good n helpful especially guddu mishra ji,food is ok

location is picture perfect , by the river bank, in the old town. hence accessing the property may be difficult but then we expected the staff to contact us beforehand and guide us better to reach this place. I tell you , don't rely on Google maps blindly. using waterways to reach this place would be more hastlefree

It’s was difficult to reach this place. We don’t have proper mode of transport to reach this place. We need to walk atleast 1 km to reach. Cab will reach to a point and from there we have to take a rickshaw to reach next spot. From there only by walk to reach hotel. Food was very good. Decent hotel with basic amenities. Services are good. Since hotel is situated on the banks of the river accessing Ganges is very easy but for older people steeper steps would be difficult to climb. We can have a wonderful scenic view from hotel room.

Location (Pro): Very nice as it is on the river bank. However need to climb down stairs about 5 floors to reach to the bank. Location (Cons): Cannot reach to the property by vehicle. The roads are barricaded about 2.5 kms from the hotel. From there E rickshaw will take you to the auto stand,which is about 1 km to the hotel. This last 1 km stretch has to be completed walking in narrow ,filthy lanes. Food: Good ,but round the lock service is not available. Amenities: Very basic for the cost of rentals charged. Services: The staff is hardworking, polite with the guests. They handcarry your luggage during your walk to& fro from the property to the road where the vehicle is waiting for you.

it was a wonderful experience. Manager Mr. Chakraborty was very helpful. The room provided was superb. Very good ambience and prompt service. Overall happy with the hospitality.Will be visiting again

Location near Dashwamedh Ghat and view from Cafetaria Balconies is amazing. Food was also nice. Hospitality and food was top notch.

Perfect location if you want to stay on ghat. Dashashwamedh ghat is 200 m. Hotel is neat and clean.
